Thanks to Sara Marie Brenner, I learned that she had this exchange during the Q&A portion of the pageant:
Miss New York Mallory Hagan. Sam Champion asked about gun control and a proposal to have an armed guard in every school. “Do you think that would make our schools safer?”“I actually don’t,” she said. “I don’t think the proper way to fight violence is with violence.” She urged education about guns.Oh yeah, education is the issue. If only Adam Lanza had been taught not to murder children, Sandy Hook wouldn’t have happened!You know this isn’t even being anti-gun control. It is being opposed to any defense at all. She is rolling over and saying, “Hit me again, Ike, and put some stank on it!”
Oh good freaking grief! She goes beyond the “violence never solves anything” stupidity. Apparently she thinks all violence is a gun issue. Guess she never heard of stabbings, or strangulation, or beatings, or any “other” type of violence. But, that is the message the Left and the media are pushing now isn’t it. Only gun violence, with the emphasis on guns is an issue. And dolts like Miss America are easy targets for that type of propaganda. Heck, it is possible, given today’s scripted speech culture that she gave the answer she THOUGHT would score her points.
