Obama To Attend Planned Parenthood Gala As Kermit Gosnell On Trial – LifeNews

President Barack Obama will attend a Planned Parenthood fundraising gala on Thursday – as defense lawyers for abortion practitioner Kermit Gosnell defend him from murder charges in court.

.

According to the publicly-announced schedule for the week, Obama will hobnob with leaders of the abortion giant on Thursday after attending the opening of the center for pro-life President George W. Bush.

“On Thursday, the president and the first lady will attend the dedication ceremony of the George W. Bush Presidential Center. Later in the day, they will return to Washington, D.C., and later in the evening, the president will attend the Planned Parenthood Gala,” the White House announced.

In a statement accompanying the new schedule, Obama said he hopes the nation will return to normalcy following the Boston Marathon bombing.

“All in all, this has been a tough week,” Obama said late Friday at the White House. “But we’ve seen the character of our country once more. And as president, I’m confident that we have the courage and the resilience and the spirit to overcome these challenges – and to go forward, as one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”

Justice for all apparently doesn’t include unborn children Planned Parenthood kills in abortions.

Last week, Obama refused to comment on the ongoing murder trial of abortion practitioner Kermit Gosnell. Obama’s refusal to weigh in on the case comes after his White House spokesman refused to comment on or condemn the “beheadings” Gosnell did and oversaw at his abortion clinic.

The NBC Today show asked Obama: “Have you been watching the Gosnell trial? It’s a Philadelphia abortion doctor accused of gruesome crimes. Are you following it, and do you think it animates a larger debate about abortion in this country?”

“Well, I’m familiar with it. I can’t comment on it because it’s an active trial,” said Obama. “What I can say is this: I think President Clinton said it pretty well when he said abortion should be safe, legal, and rare. If an individual carrying out an abortion, operating a clinic, or doing anything else is violating medical ethics, violating the law, then they should be prosecuted.”

Pro-Choice? Or Pro-Genocide?

8 Apr

Every once in a while a Leftist allows their mask to slip. Matt has video of just such a moment.

But, for a regressive to call for the death of people that are born addicted to a drug that their parent ingested, or just because they are poor?  Well, that’s OK.  Remember this?

Yes, the young lady in the first video has taken the regressive blood-lust, and made it a bit more sophisticated, and a hell of a lot cheaper.   You see, you don’t need camps with a “humane gas,” you just kill the “undesirables” before they are born.

And just to remind all of you, the vast majority of Planned Parenthood facilities are located in minority neighborhoods.  But let’s not let the genocidal agenda get out, mmkay?

Never forget that the Left has NO tolerance for any individual rights. ONLY government can grant rights in Leftist ideology, and those rights that are permitted must be secondary to the “common good”.

Texas Education Committee Bans Planned Parenthood From Public Schools

13 Mar

Panel OKs School Ban On Planned Parenthood – American Statesman

The Senate Education Committee this morning approved a bill to ban Planned Parenthood from providing sex education materials or instruction in public schools in a 6-2 vote, after little discussion.

……….

Democratic Sens. Royce West and Leticia Van de Putte voted in opposition to Senate Bill 521 by Sen. Ken Paxton, R-McKinney.

Public school districts that opt to provide sex education must make all course materials available for public review and allow parents to exempt children from any portion of the course without penalty.

Paxton’s bill, and an identical House measure by Rep. Jeff Leach, R-Plano, would add two requirements:

Individuals could not provide sex education instruction if they belong to, or are affiliated with, an organization that performs abortions. Materials from abortion providers also could not be used in the classroom.

If materials or instruction is provided by somebody who is not a school district employee, parents must sign a waiver allowing their children to participate in the class.

Paxton’s bill drew passionate testimony during a public hearing last week, but the committee vote was delayed by a lack of a quorum.

Supporters of the bill accused Planned Parenthood of placing an improper emphasis on sexual freedom and abortion rights that is inappropriate for school-age children. Opponents accused Paxton of attempting to place unneeded restrictions on local instruction that would force some school districts to drop sex education despite high rates of teen pregnancy.

So, why do supporters of abortion rights hate parental consent laws?

9 Feb

For the very same reason they hate laws requiring the mother be shown an ultrasound. Such laws reduce the number of abortions, and that cuts into the profit margin a bit. The “pro-choice” folks want women to have abortions, because abortions are big money to Planned Parenthood. And anything that reduces abortions is bad in their view.

First, the statistics are clear: parental consent laws reduce the minor abortion rate by 18.7 percent, while parental notification laws reduce the abortion rate by about 5 percent.

In fact, when these percentages are fleshed out in terms of the age of the minor, the effect of parental consent statutes is even more apparent. In states with parental consent laws, the abortion rate declines by 23.1 percent for 17-year-olds, by 19.9 percent for 16-year-olds, and by 16.6 percent for 15-year-olds.

H/T to Stacy McCain, who also touches on several other sex-related stories.

Why being Muslim apparently makes it OK to have sex with a minor

The Daily Mail (UK) reports:

A muslim who raped [in the sense of statutory rape -EV] a 13-year-old girl he groomed on Facebook has been spared a prison sentence after a judge heard he went to an Islamic faith school where he was taught that women are worthless.

Adil Rashid, 18, claimed he was not aware that it was illegal for him to have sex with the girl because his education left him ignorant of British law.

Yesterday Judge Michael Stokes handed Rashid a suspended sentence, saying: ‘Although chronologically 18, it is quite clear from the reports that you are very naive and immature when it comes to sexual matters.’

Stacy also skewers Feminists A.K.A Ugly Sluts and their culture of promiscuity

Just ask yourself: Why are feminists so angry at men? It’s not merely because they are ugly — not all ugly women are feminists — but rather because they are bitter after discovering that their promiscuity doesn’t actually make them more attractive (which popular culture had convinced them would be the case).

That’s what all the rhetoric about “sexual empowerment” is really aimed at, and it’s also why feminists get so riled up about “slut shaming.”

Having convinced themselves that promiscuity is “sexual empowerment,” feminists must expunge from our language such fine Anglo-Saxon words as slut and whore, as part of an ideological campaign to exterminate whatever vestigal remnants of Judeo-Christian morality may have survived the Sexual Revolution. And because this is justified by the Official Group Ideology and approved by the Official Group Leaders, no man may criticize it without being denounced as a misogynistic patriarchal oppressor. Any woman who questions the “sexual empowerment” rhetoric — “Hey, why is it so ’empowering’ to risk getting your ladyparts all gunked up with herpes, genital warts and chlamydia?” — is ostracized as a Traitor to the Revolutionary Cause.

Go read the whole post, it is some very insightful thinking that sums up the radical nature of modern-day Feminism, which really has nothing to do with empowering women, but everything to do with empowering the Feminist leaders.

Planned Parenthood Murdered 333,964 Babies In 2011; 1 Every 94 Seconds

Planned Parenthood’s New Annual Report: We Did 333,964 Abortions; 1 Every 94 Seconds – CNS

Planned Parenthood Federation of America’s latest annual report for 2011-2012 says that its affiliated clinics performed 333,964 abortions in fiscal 2011.

That works out to an average of one abortion every 94 seconds.

Barack Obama and Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards

The 333,964 abortion Planned Parenthood did in fiscal 2011 is an increase of 4,519 from the 329,445 abortions it did in 2010, according to a fact sheet that Planned Parenthood published last year.

Over two years, Planned Parenthood says, it has aborted 663,409.

The 2011-2012 report states that Planned Parenthood received $542.4 million in “government health services grants and reimbursements,” which it states includes “payments from Medicaid managed care plans.”

The report also shows that Planned Parenthood’s total assets top $1 billion dollars, specifically $1,244.7 billion.

“We are so proud of the year’s many successes, and deeply grateful for all the partners, sponsors, volunteers, staff and friends who helped make them possible,” states the report’s introductory letter, signed by PPFA president Cecile Richards and Cecelia Boone, chairwoman of the organization.

Ohio GOP seeks to revive Heartbeat Bill

And the “Progressives” go nuts with outrageous outrage! Video found at American Power

So, let me understand this. “Progressives” like this thug in the video are outraged that a baby with a beating heart might be protected by law? Does not speak very well of their moral compass does it? In what universe is it “extreme” to protect a human life? Think about that for a few moments. Also note that Nina Turner (Thug) uses every inane pro-abortion talking point. Including of course, that it is a woman’s body line. OK, why does the Left support Obamacare then? Oh, and as a side here, her super creative T shirt? The last place anyone wants to be is in that bitter dames panties. She is a walking. talking ranting poster for birth control.

And the Planned Parenthood provides mammograms lie rolls on

26 Oct

First, here is the lie, told by the Liar-in-Chief

Now the truth, from Planned Parenthood

The Planned Parenthood abortion business put out a statement in response to this week’s pushback against President Barack Obama for his misleading statement in the Tuesday night debate claiming it does mammograms.

“There are millions of women all across the country who rely on Planned Parenthood for mammograms, for cervical cancer screenings,” Obama claimed during the debate.

The statement goes on at length to talk about the referrals Planned Parenthood makes for women — referrals that women can obtain at any legitimate medical health provider that does not also destroy lives in abortions.

“In short, Planned Parenthood helps women nationwide get access to mammograms, as part of the range of health care Planned Parenthood health centers provide to nearly three million people a year. Planned Parenthood doctors and nurses do this like any other primary care provider or ob-gyn does,” it admits.

“Women rely on Planned Parenthood for referrals,” the abortion business admits. “Planned Parenthood doctors and nurses refer patients to other facilities for mammograms.”

Meanwhile, Factcheck.org confirms Planned Parenthood does not actually do mammograms.

At the second presidential debate, President Obama said that women “rely on” Planned Parenthood for mammograms. Actually, mammograms are not performed at the clinics; Planned Parenthood doctors and nurses conduct breast exams and refer patients to other facilities for mammograms.

Obama said: “When Governor Romney says that we should eliminate funding for Planned Parenthood, there are millions of women all across the country who rely on Planned Parenthood for not just contraceptive care. They rely on it for mammograms, for cervical cancer screenings.”

Obama used a similar line again on Oct. 18, telling a Manchester, N.H., crowd: “Governor Romney said he’d end funding for Planned Parenthood, despite all the work it does to provide women with mammograms and breast cancer screenings.”

Women can’t walk into a Planned Parenthood clinic and get a mammogram on the spot. The clinics don’t have mammography equipment.

Yet the lie continues to be told, as if no woman could even get a mammogram unless hundreds of millions of tax payer dollars were funneled to Planned Parenthood. Weasel Zippers notes that even the Washington Post calls out Obama for this oft-repeated lie

via WaPo:

“You’ve got issues like Planned Parenthood, where that organization provides millions of women cervical-cancer screenings, mammograms, all kinds of basic health care.”

— President Obama during an interview on “The Tonight Show,” Oct. 24, 2012

President Obama appeared on “The Tonight Show” Wednesday, arguing his case for what’s at stake for women in the 2012 election after host Jay Leno prompted him to talk about a recent comment from Indiana Senate candidate Richard Mourdock that pregnancies caused by rape are “something God intended.”

Obama suggested that Mitt Romney’s pledge to cut Planned Parenthood funding would deny women health services provided by the organization. But the incumbent’s reference to mammography prompted the Susan B. Anthony List antiabortion group to release a statement saying, “This oft-repeated myth has been repeatedly debunked, and it’s time the President stop misleading the American people in an effort to buoy his top political ally.”

We decided to investigate this issue to determine whether the president really stretched the truth about Planned Parenthood services.

Skipping to the conclusion:

The Pinocchio Test

The president has suggested time and again that Planned Parenthood directly provides mammograms, but the organization only offers referrals and helps women find financial resources for the exams. This suggests an intentional attempt to mislead voters about all the services that are at stake with decisions regarding federal funding for the controversial group.

Obama’s campaign points out that the incumbent was referring in each case to Planned Parenthood’s broader role as a health-care provider. But that doesn’t make his remarks any less inaccurate.

This is all about using multiple lies to convince voters that without Government funding, Planned Parenthood could not survive, and without Planned Parenthood, millions of women could not get mammograms, and so on. The fact is Planned Parenthood does not need federal funds to survive, further access to mammograms would not be restricted if the tax dollars given to Planned Parenthood were cut off, this is simply untrue

Captain Gaffetastic is back, Biden doesn’t know Planned Parenthood does abortions

12 Oct

Via The Blaze

During a campaign stop in Wisconsin on Friday, Vice President Joe Biden falsely argued that Planned Parenthood, the largest abortion provider in the United States, can’t perform abortions.

“Now these guys pledge that they’re gonna de-fund Planned Parenthood, which under law can’t perform any abortions,” Biden said, drawing supporting boos from the crowd.

The statement is misleading no matter how you look at it. What is uncertain is whether this is just the latest Biden gaffe or if he actually believed Planned Parenthood doesn’t administer abortions when he made the remark.

According to the White House, Biden merely misspoke. The Obama campaign moved quickly to clean up his misstep, claiming the vice president was actually referring to a ban that prevents the federal government from funding abortions.

Planned Parenthood Hit With $5.5 Billion Fraud Lawsuit

11 Jul

Planned Parenthood Hit With $5.5 Billion Fraud Lawsuit – WorldNetDaily

One of Planned Parenthood’s former clinic managers has turned whistle blower, claiming that the abortion provider’s Heartland branch has scammed American taxpayers by filing nearly 500,000 fraudulent Medicaid claims over 10 years, netting the organization an illicit $28 million.

Sue Thayer, former manager of Iowa’s Storm Lake and LeMars Planned Parenthood clinics, has sued the organization under both federal and Iowa False Claims Acts, alleging that Planned Parenthood knowingly committed Medicaid fraud from 2002 to 2009 by seeking improper and even illegal reimbursements from Iowa Medicaid Enterprise and the Iowa Family Planning Network.

……..

According to the lawsuit, originally filed in March of last year but made public just this week, Planned Parenthood submitted “repeated false, fraudulent, and/or ineligible claims for reimbursements” to Medicaid.

Thayer’s attorneys claim that if she prevails in the lawsuit, Planned Parenthood could be ordered to pay the United States and Iowa as much as $5.5 billion in False Claims Act damages and penalties.

“Americans really deserve to know if their hard-earned tax dollars are being funneled to groups that are misusing [them],” said Senior Counsel Michael J. Norton, a former United States attorney working with Alliance Defending Freedom to represent Thayer. “People may disagree on their views about abortion, but everyone can agree that Planned Parenthood must play by the same rules as everyone else. It is not entitled to any public funds, especially if it is defrauding Medicaid and the American taxpayer.”

The lawsuit claims that Planned Parenthood’s “C-Mail” scam began by automatically sending a year’s supply of birth control pills to women who came into one of the organization’s clinics. The pills were usually sent without a physician’s order, often dispensed to women “at levels not medically reasonable or necessary… constituting ‘abuse or overuse’” and were even shipped without the patient’s consent or foreknowledge.

Planned Parenthood then billed Medicaid to the tune of $26.32 for each month’s worth of pills, the lawsuit claims, even though the cost to the clinics was only $2.98.

Thayer claims the scam proved to be so profitable Planned Parenthood even held competitions among its clinics to see which of them could enroll the most women in the “C-Mail” program.

Furthermore, the lawsuit claims, the U.S. Postal Service sometimes returned the packages to Planned Parenthood, but instead of crediting Medicaid or destroying the returned pills, the clinics resold the same birth control pills and billed Medicaid twice for the same medication.

A second claim within the lawsuit alleges that though both Iowa and federal law bar taxpayer funds from reimbursing abortion services, Planned Parenthood found a way to sidestep the restriction.

The lawsuit claims rather than billing Medicaid for abortions directly – a clear violation of the law – Planned Parenthood “fragmented” the patients’ bills so it could charge Medicaid for everything the clinic did around and related to the abortion: “including, without limitation, office visits, ultrasounds, Rh factor tests, lab work, general counseling and abortion aftercare, all of which were, when provided, integral to and/or related to surgical and medical abortion procedures.”

Thayer says then Planned Parenthood – its profit margin bolstered by the Medicaid payments for procedures surrounding abortions – reduced the cost of abortions to its patients.

“As a result,” the lawsuit concludes, “abortions provided by Planned Parenthood were subsidized by public funds.”

Yet a third claim in the lawsuit alleges that Planned Parenthood asked its Medicaid patients to “donate” to the organization half the cost of their bill, a request with which many patients complied. But then, the lawsuit says, Planned Parenthood reported the money as a “voluntary donation” and still billed Medicaid for the full amount of the patient’s care.

“In effect,” Thayer’s attorneys summarize, “Planned Parenthood both falsely billed Medicaid and took money from low-income women by getting them to pay for services Medicaid was intended to cover in full.”

Planned Parenthood of the Heartland President Jill June released a statement calling the lawsuit part of a “pattern of harassment” and boasting that neither U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder nor Iowa Attorney General Tom Miller – both Democrats – have decided to prosecute the case.

“The extreme organization that former employee Sue Thayer has partnered with has a mission to take down Planned Parenthood,” June said of Alliance Defending Freedom. “Planned Parenthood has various safe guards and confidential resources in place for all employees with questions or concerns. It wasn’t until employment was ended that Thayer partnered with this extreme group against Planned Parenthood, that she began releasing mistruths about our organization.”

Thayer, however, has said publicly that she views her lawsuit as “an important piece in the nationwide effort to shed light on the darkness and deception surrounding America’s largest abortion provider, Planned Parenthood. It seems that God can use all those years that I spent working at Planned Parenthood for His good.”

The lawsuit Thayer v. Planned Parenthood of the Heartland is pending in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Iowa. Des Moines attorney J. Russell Hixson, an allied attorney with Alliance Defending Freedom, is assisting with the case.

Alliance Defending Freedom, formerly known as the Alliance Defense Fund, is a coalition of 300 organizations and 2,200 attorneys that explains its mission is to “to keep the door open for the spread of the gospel by transforming the legal system and advocating for religious liberty, the sanctity of life, and marriage and family.”

Did You Know Planned Parenthood Has A Clinic Inside An L.A. High School?

Did You Know Planned Parenthood Has A Clinic Inside An L.A. High School? – The Blaze

A Los Angeles high school has teamed up with Planned Parenthood in an effort to combat the number of its unplanned teen pregnancies – a unique partnership thought to be the only one of its kind, according to a profile by the Los Angeles Times.

Separate from the nurse’s office, the on-campus clinic at Roosevelt High School provides free birth control, pregnancy tests, counseling and screening for sexually transmitted diseases. Roosevelt is located in L.A.’s Boyle Heights neighborhood, a low-income, heavily Latino area with a disproportionately high teen pregnancy rate.

According to the Times, the partnership has been in place for several years and has been effective:

The campus began offering contraception and counseling in 1997. But in 2006, a collaboration with a local hospital ended and the school no longer had the resources to provide free contraceptives. In 2008, [nurse practitioner Sherry] Medrano said, she saw 32 positive pregnancy tests during her peak period between March 1 and June 1 – around the time of spring break and prom.

Medrano then reached out to Planned Parenthood, which now provides a medical assistant, the contraceptives and the pregnancy and STDs testing. The organization bills Family PACT, a public program that provides family planning to low-income and uninsured California residents.

In 2009, Medrano said, she saw three pregnancies during the same time period. The numbers have since climbed to about 10. Only a few parents have complained about the program since it began, she said.

Medrano said students feel more comfortable seeking out the school-based health clinic than they would going elsewhere.

One 16-year-old student who first received emergency contraception from the clinic before returning for regular birth control told the newspaper she was relieved knowing she could get such treatment without having to tell her parents.

“Just knowing you can come somewhere to get birth control just feels good,” she said. ‘It’s a relief.”

According to the Times, Planned Parenthood also trains students at the school to be peer advisers and teach their classmates about STD and pregnancy prevention.

Still, not everyone believes the level of Planned Parenthood’s involvement at the high school level is a good idea, according to KABC-TV.

“I know the birth control, obviously, it teaches girls a lot, it prevents pregnancies,” Anne Hennessy, executive director of the Right to Life League of Southern California, told the station. “We would hope that the care in that part of their lives would be done in collaboration with their parents rather than through the schools.”

The Times’ profile of the program comes at a time when Planned Parenthood is facing increasing scrutiny and battles over public funding. Last week, the organization found itself at the center of a “gendercide” controversy when a pro-life group released a video allegedly showing a Planned Parenthood counselor in Texas giving advice on how to obtain a gender-based abortion.

5 Of 7 Kansas Supreme Court Judges Flee Ethics Case Against Former State AG Who Targeted Late-Term Abortionists

29 May

5 Of 7 State Supreme Court Judges Flee Case – WorldNetDaily

A Kansas state power structure that has been in full abortion-support mode since Kathleen Sebelius was governor may be employing a new retreat strategy after five of seven state Supreme Court judges recused themselves from hearing a case involving former Attorney General Phill Kline.

Kline famously took on an investigation of the abortion industry in Kansas when he was a state official. He ultimately filed charges against Planned Parenthood as well as a late-term abortionist operating in the state at the time.

……..

He was defeated in his re-election bid when industry powers coalesced against him, and he’s been fighting off their claims of inappropriate investigations ever since.

Now, facing a disciplinary hearing stemming from claims he used his office as attorney general to investigate abortionists he suspected of covering up child abuse, he moved for a recusal of two of the justices. Kline cited their “layers of deception,” “deep-seated antagonism” and “caustic and deceptive opinions.”

Kline described the Supreme Court’s methods in his motion to recuse Carol Beier and Lawton Nuss.

As a result, however, three more justices also fled the case against Kline.

The other justices are Lee Johnson, Marla Luckert and Eric Rosen.

“After the Kline motion was filed, a discussion was initiated with the justices that ultimately led to their decision regarding the recusal of five out of the seven judges,” Supreme Court spokesman Ron Keefover told WND.

“All five decided to avoid the appearance of impropriety in this case,” Keefover explained.

Kline’s attorneys, according to the motion, asked for the recusal of Beier because of “her deep-seated antagonism against Mr. Kline, most notably displayed in her caustic and deceptive opinion in ‘Comprehensive Health of Planned Parenthood v. Kline.’”

Nuss’s recusal was sought “because of Mr. Kline’s role in reporting conduct that led to a disciplinary sanction for the chief justice in 2006,” the motion continues.

………………

The state high court said the five justices first acted as “fact finders” in the case against Kline and then were expected to sit as the “last reviewers” of the case.

Now, five replacements will be found in coming months to take the place of the five justices who are prevented from issuing a ruling in the case.

“The court will most likely name retired judges to fill those seats,” Keefover told WND.

A decision in the case will now take until next fall at the earliest, he said.

Operation Rescue, a life-advocacy organization that once bought an abortion clinic building to close it down, has followed the case against Kline from the beginning.

……..

“The unprecedented move [of five out of seven justices recusing themselves] opens the door for Kline to have a new panel of judges look at an ethics complaint filed by an attorney for a late-term abortionist who was trying to prevent Kline from obtaining abortion records that we now know contained evidence that abortion clinics were breaking the law,” the group said.

Kline’s 75-page motion details how Beier’s “scathing” opinions took aim at Kline, even without “the support of law” because of his investigations into violations at abortion clinics.

The motion also exposes Beier, through her own writings, as a “third-wave feminist” intent on manipulating the media to reshape public perception of abortion on demand.

“Commenting on the ‘positive power and individualism that are the hallmarks of feminism’s third-wave,’ Beier viewed the family as a mere contractual relationship, where parties are free to elect ‘the family structure they desire’ unrestricted by ‘gender-based presumptions’ of an obsolete age,” the motion reads.

“Abortion and reproductive rights are central to that theme,” it continues.

Kline’s motion details how then-governor Sebelius appointed “a vigorous abortion rights advocate” named Beier to the State Supreme Court shortly after becoming governor in 2003.

Also in 2003, Kline as attorney general “began an investigation of child abuse reporting to determine if sexual predators were using abortion clinics to destroy evidence of their crimes.”

While Kansas law criminalizes all intercourse with children under the age of 16, except for married couples, Kline noticed that abortion clinics almost never complied with the law requiring notification to authorities of suspected child abuse. Kline pointed to the evidence of abortions performed on children and obtained subpoenas for abortion clinic records.

Even though a judge agreed with Kline that the documents might contain evidence of criminal wrongdoing, the clash between Kline and the abortion industry began.

Kline’s motion details how that clash led to three lengthy opinions written by Beier that had the effect of hampering “Mr. Kline’s effort to protect children from sexual abuse, to frustrate and delay legitimate investigations, and seriously to hinder the prosecution of criminal activity by Kansas abortion providers.”

Speaking to Operation Rescue about the five judges withdrawing from Kline’s case, his attorney, Tom Condit, said, “This confirms Beier was deceptive and that her previous opinions were mere press releases for her third-wave feminism.

“The other justices joined in these deceptions – they also appointed the prosecutor and the panel which relied on those deceptions,” he continued.

“These layers of deception by this court and its appointees render this case irretrievably flawed.”

WND has previously reported other details surrounding the Kline investigation into Planned Parenthood and late-term abortionist George Tiller. An abortion-friendly district attorney dismissed charges that Kline had filed against Tiller.

The case against Planned Parenthood was continued because when Kline left the state office, he was appointed district attorney near Kansas City, where Planned Parenthood operates.

WND columnist Jack Cashill reported on charges filed against Planned Parenthood in Kansas, which included 23 felony charges of falsified abortion reports.

But then came a complication. Someone serving under Sebelius shredded key records at the Kansas Department of Health and Environment even though they were evidence in a criminal investigation.

As Cashill reported, “The Sebelius administration knew this.”

WND reported at the time that Kline said Sebelius closely monitored his investigation into the enforcement of Kansas laws regarding child rape and late-term abortion violations as these were major campaign issues in 2002 and would likely be again in 2006.

What remains of the case against Planned Parenthood is a long list of lesser counts.

Troy Newman, president of Operation Rescue, said the abortion industry has been churning along in his state of Kansas.

“Literally hundreds of children in Kansas may be currently at risk of abuse, and no one is looking into it,” he said. “We have asked Attorney General Derek Schmidt to reopen Kline’s under-reporting investigation, but he has yet to respond to us.”

Newman said, “It appears that since Kline was so maliciously maligned for trying to do his duty, the current attorney general’s office fears getting involved lest the same thing happen to them. … If that is true, I don’t know how they sleep at night knowing that their inaction is condemning little girls to unspeakable abuse.”

To be ignorant and depraved is one thing, but to know, and revel in your depravity….

12 May

Planned Parenthood is, once again, pimping themselves out for Mother’s Day, because nothing celebrates mothers like killing 300,000 babies every year. Stacy McCain writes today about how the irony of this escapes Planned parenthood.

Do they lack a sense of irony? Or have no sense of shame?

As families across the nation gather to celebrate Mother’s Day, others will gather to support the abortion industry. Never one to miss a fundraising opportunity, a New York affiliate of Planned Parenthood is hosting a Mother’s Day brunch to support the clinic. . . .
This is not Planned Parenthood’s first attempt to raise money through Mother’s Day. Year after year, the abortion giant encourages supporters to donate on behalf of their mothers. . . .
The organization responsible for the death of over300,000 children annually has no right to be raising money in honor of mothers. Abortion steals motherhood from women.

Remember this: If you were born after 1973, the Supreme Court of the United States has declared your life utterly worthless, without value, and deserving of no legal protection. That you are even alive to read this is therefore proof that God had some purpose for your life.

Why don’t you think about that? Ask yourself whether you, having miraculously survived despite the hatred of those who viewed your life with such vicious contempt, have a duty — indeed, an obligation of sacred honor — to speak up on behalf of those yet unborn.

A pretty compelling argument isn’t it? Most of us, even if we are pro-life, do not focus as much attention on it as we ought to. Some of us likely think that the issue is too polarizing. We feel that no matter what we say, no matter how much medical evidence we provide, that we will never change the other side’s minds. For others, perhaps the topic is too personal, or upsetting to discuss. Maybe some feel that until we get a Supreme Court decision reversing Roe V Wade, we are pretty much stuck in limbo.

I spent a lot of hours debating the issue of abortion on political forums years before I started writing columns in 1996. Then I spent many of my columns debating the same issue. When I started blogging in 2008, I still focused on the issue a lot. It seems I have written and posted about it less and less, yet, I am still as passionately against abortion on demand as ever. I am still as appalled as ever by the evil deeds that Planned Parenthood facilitates every day. It is sickening that these leeches get tax payer dollars. Several states have tried to stop funding for Planned Parenthood, including my state of Texas. Team Obama, of course, is dead set against states exercising their sovereignty on the issue. If Obamacare survives and becomes law, abortion “rights” will be a big part of it.

The oddest thing, to me, is that the Left mocks the Right as not believing in science. Now that claim is absurd, but even more inane is that the Left refuses allow any science into this debate. For me it is simple. The entire issue should come down to one thing, whether or not a human being is killed by abortion. Medical science provides a very clear answer to the question, and that answer is something Planned parenthood does not want to let women know about. This is why they rail against laws requiring the mother have an ultrasound before getting an abortion.

The claims from the Left is that ultrasounds are invasive, and amount to rape would be laughable if they were not being used to defend the industry of infanticide that Planned Parenthood is knee-deep in. Planned Parenthood opposes these laws because these laws would fully inform the mother to be. As much as the Left loves to use the pro-choice line, informed choices are the very last thing they want women making. Like I said before depravity is bad, but celebrating it and profiting from it? Evil!

Team Obama vs Texas! Updated!

17 Mar

For those who wondered why I was so eager to support Rick Perry, here is a great example. Governor Rick Perry and the state legislature banned Planned Parenthood from the states Texas’ Women’s Health Program. Obama threatened to cut funding to the entire program. Texas Health and Human Services Commissioner Thomas Suehs signed the rule anyway. And now, Team Obama, you know the administration that cares so much about women’s health, has followed through on their threat. Tina Korbe has the rest of the story

Yes, the Obama administration actually does want to cut funding and jeopardize the Texas’ Women’s Health Program entirely. He cares more to protect Planned Parenthood than he does to protect women’s health, in general. Fortunately for low-income women in Texas, Rick Perry won’t stand for it. Via Guy Benson:

Perry, who slammed the federal government constantly during his short-lived bid for the Republican presidential nomination, has directed state health officials to find the funding to keep the program going from other parts of the budget, but he has promised not to raise revenues to cover the costs.

Governor Perry was on the Mike Gallagher Show the other morning, and talked about this. He stressed the right of Texas to determine how the money is spent

The Obama administration had pledged to stop funding the Women’s Health Program because federal law requires women to be able to choose any qualified clinic. Gov. Rick Perry counters that states have the right, under federal law, to determine qualified providers in the program. The program provides care to about 130,000 women between the ages of 18 and 44 earning less than $20,000 a year or less than $41,000 for a family of four — with federal funds paying 90 percent of its cost and Texas covering the rest. Mann said that last year it cost about $41 million, and about $34 million of that came from Washington.

Good for our governor, we are damned lucky to have him. The Obama administration has no respect for the 10th amendment, or for helping women get health care. Could the distinction be any clearer?

UPDATE!! Texas is also going to fight the over reaching feds over the Texas voter ID law! video at twhe link

Perry defended Texas’ right to institute a voter ID law, saying they’ve had several cases of fraud problems that a voter ID would cure. He also suggested he can only surmise that those opposed to the law must only want to win elections by fraudulent means.

And when it comes to beating Eric Holder and the DOJ, he says that he’s ready to take this case all the way to the Supreme Court, who he notes has already ruled in favor of states implementing voter ID laws:

Like I said, this is why I like Perry so much! I think he deserves a spot in my Politically INcorrect Hall of Fame!

What if HHS mandates abortion on demand?

2 Mar

Jill poses a terrifying question for us to ponder

By the pricking of my thumbs . . . it’s Kathleen Sebelius, explaining the apparent cost-effectiveness of societal suicide:

“The reduction in the number of pregnancies compensates for the cost of contraception,” Sebelius said. She went on to say the estimated cost is “down not up.”

Hmmm, so reducing our population will lower health care costs? So, as Jill points out

Steve Ertelt argues that they’re just getting started (emphasis added):

At a hearing of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, Secretary of HHS Kathleen Sebelius confirmed the fears of many pro-life advocates who worry that the recent HHS mandate requiring all insurance plans to cover contraception and sterilization, regardless of an employer’s moral objection, is just the beginning.

The same statutory authority of the Administration to mandate contraception could just as easily mandate abortion on demand. The Administration believes in essence that employers are not really paying for contraceptives or abortion since they would be cheaper than providing for prenatal care, childbirth or child care.

In an exchange with pro-life Congressman Tim Murphy (R-PA), Sebelius claimed, “The reduction in a number of pregnancies compensates for the cost of contraception.” To which Murphy responded, “So you’re saying by not having babies born, we’re going to save money on healthcare?” The exchange becomes just another example of the Obama Administration’s willingness to trample on basic rights of conscience in order to pay for the massive 2010 federal healthcare law and expand abortion.

As a means of cutting costs under Obamacare, the Secretary of HHS has the authority to mandate coverage of anything he or she adds to a “preventive services” list. The recent HHS edict was the result of contraception being added to that list. Because the list is fluid and left solely to the whim of the Administration, there is no statute preventing an abortion mandate.

Certainly abortion coverage is the next logical step. Even in its initial passage in 2010, Obamacare contained new streams of federal funding for abortion. The Obama Administration fought against pro-life amendments like the Stupak-Pitts Amendment to gut abortion funding from the bill. It has continued to fight against efforts to limit federal funds for abortion. The Obama Administration was willing to allow a government shutdown unless full federal funding for Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider, was in place. It’s clear; the Administration would have no qualms about mandating coverage for abortion.

Go read the rest folks, and remember that,at some point, lowering health care costs is bound to trump things like individual rights, and any other right Obamacare deems unimportant.

Selective Outrage Syndrome strikes Business Insider

Duane Lester finds the latest example of S.O.S

Business Insider is soooo happy with themselves over finding what they think is a embarrassing bit of hypocrisy on the part of the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

The Foundation recently decided they would stop donating money to Planned Parenthood, the largest provider of abortions in the country.

In 2010, Planned Parenthood performed 329,445 and dispensed 1,461,816 morning after pills.

Komen is taking a lot of flak for ending the donations to Planned Parenthood, and Business Insider apparently felt the need to look at the financials of the foundation. They discovered something they consider scandalous:

What could it be you ask? Why it seems Susan G Komen

So the Komen Foundation doesn’t want to be associated with the nation’s largest abortion-provider. But they don’t mind partnering up with a handgun maker. This gun is a beauty.

And a portion of the sale of each P-22 Hope Edition will be donated to the Seattle Branch of the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Isn’t this perfect? The things that outrage Liberals amaze those of us who have common sense. Abortion kills innocent babies, and that, it seems is no big deal for the folks at Business Insider. In fact the Komen Foundation is ostracized for NOT giving money to Planned Parenthood for mammograms that they do not even do. Yet! Any partnership with a gun maker, on Komen’s part, is considered evil? Yep, that is Leftist logic for you. Of course the saddest thing here is that the Komen Foundation has surrendered to the political correctors, and will continue to fund the butchers at Planned Parenthood. So, I suppose that now Business Insider will praise the Susan G Komen Foundation once again? Or maybe the Foundation will cave further? Maybe they will stop any association with the evil gun makers? Time will tell on that.

Back to the Leftist hypocrisy here though. Duane Lester did some research, and finds that those evil gun makers make guns, that save MANY lives!

That’s right. Guns save lives:

According to the National Self Defense Survey conducted by Florida State University criminologists in 1994, the rate of Defensive Gun Uses can be projected nationwide to approximately 2.5 million per year — one Defensive Gun Use every 13 seconds.
Among 15.7% of gun defenders interviewed nationwide during The National Self Defense Survey, the defender believed that someone “almost certainly” would have died had the gun not been used for protection — a life saved by a privately held gun about once every 1.3 minutes. (In another 14.2% cases, the defender believed someone “probably” would have died if the gun hadn’t been used in defense.)

In 83.5% of these successful gun defenses, the attacker either threatened or used force first — disproving the myth that having a gun available for defense wouldn’t make any difference.

In 91.7% of these incidents the defensive use of a gun did not wound or kill the criminal attacker (and the gun defense wouldn’t be called “newsworthy” by newspaper or TV news editors). In 64.2% of these gun-defense cases, the police learned of the defense, which means that the media could also find out and report on them if they chose to.

In 73.4% of these gun-defense incidents, the attacker was a stranger to the intended victim. (Defenses against a family member or intimate were rare — well under 10%.) This disproves the myth that a gun kept for defense will most likely be used against a family member or someone you love.

In over half of these gun defense incidents, the defender was facing two or more attackers — and three or more attackers in over a quarter of these cases. (No means of defense other than a firearm — martial arts, pepper spray, or stun guns — gives a potential victim a decent chance of getting away uninjured when facing multiple attackers.)

In 79.7% of these gun defenses, the defender used a concealable handgun. A quarter of the gun defenses occurred in places away from the defender’s home.

Of course those facts will never dent the head of a Liberal. Liberalism is an ideology of convenience. And it is convenient to ignore evidence and embrace raw emotionalism. It is easier to overlook, or in fact not even consider the number of defensive gun uses, and simply go with the “guns are bad” lie.

Planned Parenthood Says Its Goal In Africa Is To Increase Abortions 82% By 2015 – Weasel Zippers

……………………………………

Morbid beyond belief.

(CNSNews.com) – In its strategic plan for the Africa Region for 2010 to 2015, the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) states that it is working toward an 82 percent increase in abortion services.

That number is in Figure 2, the “performance framework” of the plan (page 7), under “performance milestones/benchmarks” and notes its expectation of an “82 percent increase in abortion services: 212,021 services by 2013, and 273,656 by 2015.”

CNSNews.com asked Paul Bell, senior communication officer with IPPF based in the United Kingdom, a series of questions about the group’s strategic plan, including whether the 82 percent increase and the more than a quarter million “abortion services” projected by 2015 represent abortion specifically or abortion and other services.

Planned Parenthood Got $487.4 Million In Taxpayer Money To Abort 329,445 Babies – FactReal

Obama’s friends at work.

……………

CNSNews reports:

According to its latest annual report, the Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) received $487.4 million in tax dollars over a twelve-month period and performed 329,455 abortions.

In addition, the number of adoption referrals made by the organization continued to decline.

The latest annual report covers the period from July 1, 2009 to June 30, 2010, the PPFA’s fiscal year. The report states that the organization received “government health services grants and reimbursements” totaling $487.4 million.

What are taxpayers getting for their buck?

* 329,445 abortions, making up 91% of Planned Parenthood’s services to pregnant women. Of the three million people that walked through the doors of a Planned Parenthood clinic, one out of 12 received an abortion.

* 31,098 prenatal services for women, making up just 8.6% of overall services to pregnant woman.

* 841 adoption referrals, a mere 0.2% of services to pregnant women. (This number continues to drop. In 2008, PP reported 2,405 adoption referrals).
