Seattle Moonbat Swears Off Food In Attempt To “Save The Earth”

Local Woman Swears Off Food, Hasn’t Eaten In Five Weeks – Seattle Post-Intelligencer

There are a few things that we all know and accept about human beings, and one of them is that we all need food and water to survive.

But one local nutbag moron woman wants to challenge that fundamental concept of life.

.

Her name is Naveena Shine, and some of her ideas can best be described as being “out there.” The 65-year-old England native who now lives in the Seattle area is aiming big with her goals.

“This will literally save the Earth,” she said of her most recent experiment.

Shine claims she doesn’t need food to survive, and she’s out to prove it to the world.

“Well, the intention of what I’m doing is I want to provide evidence that it is possible, should it be possible, that human beings can live and thrive and do really well without having to eat solid food,” she said.

To prove her point, she quit eating. She’s now living on water and tea with a dab of milk. She claims she hasn’t had a thing to eat since May 3.

Because she knew people would doubt her claims, Shine set up cameras in every corner of her home that record 24 hours a day. When she goes outside, she takes a mobile camera.

It’s all so she can prove to the world that humans don’t need food.

“There’s got to be a point that’s a shift-over point, you either go into starvation and death or you go into finding the place within and without that creates living on light,” Shine said.

She often talks about light – both the kind that comes from the sun and the inner power source she can’t fully define.

She said she sometimes has sudden drops in blood pressure where she gets dizzy and needs to sit down.

Dr. Rich Lindquist from Swedish Hospital doesn’t doubt that Shine can survive for a while on tea and water – maybe as long as three months – but he said it’s a bad idea.

“People can live for extended periods of time, but people need food in order to live,” he said.

Lindquist said the body will cannibalize itself for a while by burning up stored fat and muscle, but that can’t go on forever.

“Long term, over time, if you don’t eat, you die,” he said.

Shine said she originally hoped people would be fascinated by her experiment and sponsor her efforts, but that hasn’t happened.

She insists she’ll stop if she feels like she’s in any danger. She said she’s lost some weight since starting the experiment, but she isn’t gaunt. She also said she’s not hungry.

Peace Bricks?

7 May

Good Freaking Grief

The city of Seattle is one of many that launched a gun buyback program in the wake of the tragedy in Newtown, Connecticut last December.  Now, city officials have decided what to do with the more than 700 firearms they received, according to the Associated Press.

They’ve decided to turn them into “peace bricks.”

What are peace bricks, you ask?  Apparently they are like regular bricks, but “carry messages of peace,” and they’ll be placed in various locations around the city.

Well, Liberalism IS an ideology for the childish so….

Your Marxist Morons of the Day are……….

23 Apr

Washington State. Yes, the entire state. Why you Ask? Well, for banning words like penmanship, and fisherman among other words deemed “sexist”

The war on the English language from gender-neutrality advocates has reached new lows in Washington state, where the governor signed a new piece of legislation dictating that the terms “fisherman,” “freshman,” and “penmanship” all be replaced because of alleged sexism. “Fisherman” will now be “fisher”; “freshman” will now be “first-year student”; “penmanship” will now be “handwriting.”

The idiot who sponsored this bill, shared her complete lack of common sense

“This was a much larger effort than I had envisioned. Mankind means man and woman,” said Democratic state Senator Jeanne Kohl-Welles of Seattle.

The new gender-neutral references, for example, include “journey-level plumber” instead of “journeyman plumber,” “handwriting” in place of “penmanship,” and “signal operator” for “signalman.”

“There’s no good reason for keeping our legal terms anachronistic and with words that do not respect our current contemporary times,” Kohl-Welles, the 475-page bill’s sponsor, told Reuters.

Several words, however, aren’t easy to replace, said Kyle Thiessen, the state’s code reviser, who heads up the 40-staff Washington Code Reviser’s Office agency.

The state likely won’t change the words “airmen” and “seaman,” for example, because of objections by the state’s Washington Military Department, he said.

Civil engineering terms such as “man hole” and “man lock,” also will not be changed because no common-sense substitutes could easily be found, Thiessen said.

Nearly 3,500 Washington state code sections, out of a total of about 40,000 have been tediously scrubbed of gender bias, although most involve adding pronouns “she” and “her” to augment the existing “he” and “his,” Thiessen said.

The bill passed the Democrat-controlled state House 70-22 on April 9 and unanimously cleared the state Senate on February 8 before being signed by Democratic Governor Jay Inslee.

Got that kids? Out of 92 state representatives 70 voted for this excursion into stupidity! Dear Lord how stupid are these people? They actually think this is the proper role of government? I think the Pit of Liberal Stupidity just got a tad deeper

Seattle Gun BuyBack Get’s JACKED! Turns Into A Damn Gun Show! LOL

Seattle Gun BuyBack Get’s JACKED! Turns Into A Damn Gun Show! LOL – DCxposed

Police officers in Seattle, Washington held their first gun buyback program in 20 years this weekend, underneath interstate 5, and soon found that private gun collectors were working the large crowd as little makeshift gun shows began dotting the parking lot and sidewalks. Some even had “cash for guns” signs prominently displayed.

Police stood in awe as gun enthusiasts and collectors waved wads of cash for the guns being held by those standing in line for the buyback program.

People that had arrived to trade in their weapons for $100 or $200 BuyBack gift cards($100 for handguns, shotguns and rifles, and $200 for assault weapons) soon realized that gun collectors were there and paying top dollar for collectible firearms. So, as the line for the chump cards got longer and longer people began to jump ship and head over to the dealers.

John Diaz, Seattles Police Chief, wasn’t pleased with the turn of events stating “I’d prefer they wouldn’t sell them,” but admitted it’s perfectly legal for private individuals to buy and sell guns, FOR NOW. Mayor Mike McGinn said at a news conference the private transactions are a loophole that needs to be closed. “There’s no background checks, and some (guns) could be exchanged on the streets that shouldn’t be in circulation.”

But Schuyler Taylor, a previous gun retailer attending the event in hopes of buying weapons, asked “Why not offer them cash versus a gift card? I’m still taking the guns off the streets; they’re just going in my safe.”

People were reportedly, at one point, jumping out of vehicles whilst sitting in traffic – making on the spot deals with the gun buyers.

But the BuyBack wasn’t a bust. On the contrary – their $80,000 supply of gift cards didn’t last but 2 hours, and by 11:00 am they began attempting to issue IOU’s at which point the entire crowd responded by turning and marching toward the gun dealers, forcing the police officers to pack it up for the day.

On one last note of hilarity, the Seattle Police department claims that they will check the buyback guns to see if any were previously stolen and, if so, try to return them to the rightful owners! LOL. Brilliant!

In 1992, Seattle police collected more than 1,200 guns in a four-day buyback program.

Now the only question is, when will the Seattle Police department stage the next gun show?

When is Joe Biden going to head a task force on Breast Control?

19 Jan

No I am not making light of this man’s death by breasts, but, I am just saying that if new laws on assault breasts could, to use the Liberal line, “save just one life”

A Washington woman is accused of using her breasts to smother and kill her boyfriend after an altercation at their mobile home.

Donna Lange, a 51-year-old woman from Everett, Wash., is believed to have suffocated her boyfriend to death with her breasts on Saturday, Jan. 12, according to Seattle’s KIRO 7 Eyewitness News. Deputies, called to the Airport Inn trailer park at 12:45 a.m. for a disturbance report, found medics performing CPR on Lange’s 51-year-old alleged boyfriend, who was later pronounced dead at Swedish Hospital.

Kiro 7 reports that witnesses claims they saw Lange throw her boyfriend down in the back of the mobile home. She was later found by witnesses with her chest covering the victim’s face. Police noted the size difference between Lange and her boyfriend — she was 5-feet, 6-inches and 192 pounds, he was 5-feet, 7-inches and 175 pounds.

Just as  aside note, how much comedy gold could be mined out of Joe Biden talking about assault breasts? Talk about the 38DD of Gaffes!

Seahawks rally from 20 down in 4th quarter, but Falcons get the win

13 Jan

Great comeback by Seattle, and a great comeback by Atlanta

Matt Bryant kicked a 49-yard field goal with 8 seconds left and the Atlanta Falcons bounced back after blowing a 20-point lead in the fourth quarter, defeating Russell Wilson and the gutty Seattle Seahawks 30-28 in an NFC divisional playoff game Sunday.

The Falcons (14-3) appeared ready to allow the biggest fourth-quarter comeback in NFL playoff history when Marshawn Lynch scored on a 2-yard run with 31 seconds left.

But Matt Ryan completed two long passes after the kickoff, setting up Bryant’s winning kick and sending the Falcons to the NFC championship game for only the third time in franchise history. They will host the San Francisco 49ers next Sunday.

NFL Playoff picks for Divisional Round

12 Jan

Only eight teams are left standing, and after Sunday, there will be four. So who makes the cut?

The action kicks off later today with the Broncos hosting the Ravens in cold Denver. My pick, Denver. Yes Denver might score less than normal, but so will the Ravens, and that spells doom for Baltimore.

Game of the weekend? The Niners hosting the Pack. Such a tough call here. I have been going back and forth on this one. But, I am sticking with my original pick, the Niners, although I will be rooting against them.

Sunday sees the Falcons host the Seahwaks. Another very tough choice. I can see it go either way, but Seattle is hot right now, and the Falcons have yet to prove they can win in the post season.

Lastly, the Pats will destroy the Texans. I wish it was going to be different, but I do not see it.

Seahawks, incompetent refs best Packers 14-12 Troglopundit hardest hit

25 Sep

I feel bad for Lance Burri and his fellow cheeseheads, this was the worst call I have ever seen, and the NFL is making it worse by defending it as a correct call

NEW YORK — The NFL has upheld the Seahawks’ 14-12 win over the Green Bay Packers on Monday Night Football.

The league said in a statement Tuesday that Seattle’s last-second touchdown pass should not have been overturned.

The NFL says Seahawks receiver Golden Tate should have been called for offensive pass interference before the catch, which would have clinched a Packers victory, but that cannot be reviewed by instant replay.

Wow, is the NFL seeking to catch up with NBA refs in incompetence?

OKLAHOMA CITY – Kevin Durant had 34 points and 14 rebounds while playing all of regulation for the first time all season, and the Oklahoma City Thunder claimed a spot in the NBA finals by beating the San Antonio Spurs 107-99 on Wednesday night.

Russell Westbrook added 25 points for the Thunder, who trailed Game 6 of the Western Conference finals by 18 in the first half and erased a 15-point halftime deficit before pulling ahead to stay in the fourth.

Durant grabbed the final rebound, dribbled the ball across halfcourt and raised his right fist to celebrate with a sold-out crowd. The franchise will play for the NBA title for the first time since 1996, before relocating from Seattle.

Thanks Barack… Seattle Green Jobs Program Gets $20M, Creates 14 Posts

Seattle Green Jobs Program Gets $20M, Creates 14 Posts – Fox News

A green jobs program in one of America’s greenest cities is being called a bust 16 months after a $20 million federal grant to weatherize homes in Seattle ended up putting just 14 people to work in mostly administrative jobs and upgrading only three homes in the area.

“The jobs are not there,” Todd Myers, who wrote the book “Eco Fads,” told Fox News. “So we’re training people for jobs that don’t exist.”

Seattle is not alone. The Department of Energy has allocated $508 million to 41 states for its Better Buildings Neighborhood Program and 600 jobs have been created or retained.

“While communities are advancing their programs at different rates, we are pleased with the progress,” the agency wrote in a recent statement.

One year into the three-year program, 9,000 homes have had energy audits and received some kind of upgrade. The goal is to weatherize 150,000 homes by 2013 and save consumers $65 million annually on energy bills.

Seattle Mayor Mike McGinn says it’s too early to declare the program a failure.

“We may have to adjust how we market it and the incentives we provide,” McGinn said. “Nobody has really cracked the green jobs code.”

Contractors who do the energy audits and home retrofits blame government for getting in the way. To be a participating business in Seattle, the contractor is required to pay workers $21 an hour with full benefits, including retirement pay. But according to several small business owners in the area, the prevailing wage for new workers who lay insulation is $12. per hour.

McGinn, however, insisted that allowing contractors to pay anything less than what the city has declared a ‘living wage’, amounts to a ‘race to the bottom’ for jobs.

“The workforce agreements that were negotiated with contractors at the table made sure that some benefits of this work is going to local workers, and we’re going to pay fair wages for it,” he said.

But Myers and others say the biggest problem with the program is government is trying to create a market that consumers don’t want. The average homeowner in the U.S. pays about $2,000 a year for energy.

The weatherization upgrades are aimed at saving 15 percent on energy consumption. If the retrofit costs $10,000 even with all the government incentives, it will take over 30 years to pay off through lower energy bills.

“The problem is the policies the politicians choose, whether green jobs or retrofits, are based on appearance,” Myers said. “They choose things that look good, rather than what’s best for the environment.”

Among the other cities having trouble fulfilling the green jobs promise are Toledo, Kansas City and Phoenix. So far, those cities have created a combined 72 jobs with $65 million in grants.

The difficulty is magnified on the federal level. President Obama once said he wanted to create 5 million green jobs over 10 years. The 2009 stimulus package included $5 billion toward that goal.

A chunk of that money went for weatherization programs, but according to a Department of Energy inspector general report one year later, “only two of the 10 highest-funded recipients completed more than 2 percent of planned units.”

Update on Michelle Malkin’s cousin Marizela Perez

28 Mar

She is still missing, continue to pray for her and her family, the latest info from Michelle

It has now been 23 days since my cousin, 18-year-old University of Washington student Marizela Perez, disappeared in the Seattle area.

I wish I could tell you good news.

We have had a private investigator on the case the past week. Several leads have been followed. But Marizela is still missing. Our hearts ache for Emem and her parents, Edgar and Jasmin, who have not rested one moment in their efforts to find her. Marizela’s loved ones continue to spread the word and spread her spirit in her South Jersey hometown of Egg Harbor Township, NJ, in her home away from home in Seattle, WA, in her parents’ native homeland in the Philippines, and across our great country where so many friends and volunteers have kept Marizela’s case in the public eye.

Marizela’s friend Brianna Price went to school with her in Egg Harbor Township, NJ. Brianna teamed up with Elizabeth (Beth) Janansky and Lydia Chong to make and sell bracelets to support the search for Marizela. They are orange “for Marizela’s favorite color” and include the Tagalog phrase from her tattoo — “lahat ay magiging maayos.” (“All will be well” or “Everything’s going to be okay.”)

You can order bracelets for $5 each (all proceeds go to Marizela’s family for the search) from Brianna.

E-mail her at dragunsangel-@-aol.com and put “MARIZELA” in the subject line.

Brianna writes that Marizela’s South Jersey friends will also be holding a fund-raising event on April 8 at Egg Harbor Township High School’s lower cafeteria where the bracelets will be sold:

“I am working alongside the Egg Harbor Township High School’s Drama Club/Thespians Honor Society, Key Club, Art Club, Latin Club, Choir, Dance, and many teachers and graduates to put together a Coffee House performance night. This event is on Friday, April 8th. Doors open at 7:30. Admission is $5.00 and we will be selling wristbands there as well. The link to the event page on facebook is http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=306349&id=613401648&saved#!/event.php?eid=203738876322949.

While we press forward with the investigation and search efforts, please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you so much.

I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. -Psalm 27:13

Lord, please bring this young lady home safe
