Muslim man starts “Stop the Hate” drive, Christians hardest hit

Via Blazing Cat Fur comes the tale of  man with a dream, a man on a mission, a mission to stop the hate, and a man trying to run down people of other faiths

Mike Mohamad Agemy was trying to “stop the hate.”

That’s what he told police June 17 after he was arrested for trying to run over a group of Christian fundamentalists who were denouncing Islam in front of the largest mosque in the country, Dearborn’s Islamic Center of America.

A police report obtained under the Freedom of Information Act provides details about the incident that has touched off a firestorm of commentary on right-wing blogs and fanned the notion held by some that Dearborn’s Muslim community is hostile to Christians.

The group Agemy is accused of assaulting is called the “Bible Believers.” Based out of California, they had already been in the news that weekend for their anti-Islam demonstration at the Arab International Festival in East Dearborn. That display, which included a pig’s head on a pike and signs about Islam that many found offensive, led some festival-goers to pelt them with eggs, plastic bottles and reportedly rocks.

This story displays the difference between radical Christians, and radical Muslims. The group demonstrating in front of the mosque are what I might call radical Christians. They, at least in my view, take their religion too far. But, too far for them is carrying “offensive” signs, or maybe burning a Koran. The man who tried to kill them is what I might call a radical Muslim. He, and many other Muslims take their religion too far too. But, instead of carrying “offensive” signs, they KILL people, for simply expressing their opinions. See the difference?

There are other examples, examples the Left refuses to acknowledge. Take how Fundamentalist Christians treat Homosexuality for example. Yes, they say Homosexuals are going to Hell, or that Homosexuality is sinful, and tend to oppose Gay marriage. The Left rails against these Christians. The Left labels them bigots, backwards, hateful, etc. Now, consider how homosexuals are treated under Sharia (Muslim) Law. They are executed! Yes, executed, as in beheaded, hanged, stoned, as in DEAD! See the difference?

How about drinking? Christians discourage drinking to excess, they see it as sinful. But, they pray for those who over indulge. Under Sharia Law, drinking is grounds for lashing, yes, brutal public whippings. Again, can you spot the difference?

Adultery? Christians strongly condemn adultery, with words. Under Sharia Law, adulterers are often executed, maybe they are shot, maybe stoned to death, or maybe they get off “light” by receiving dozens of lashes. And understand that while Christians define adultery as cheating on your spouse, Sharia Law defines it as, well, a woman talking to a man in many instances. Can you spot the difference?

I could go on about the differences between “radical” Christians, and radical Muslims and how they treat gamblers, hint, Christians do not beat gamblers, teens who have sex, hint, Christian nations do not hang 16-year-old girls who have sex from cranes like Iran has been known to do. Christians also do not forbid women from driving, or dressing as they choose, nor do they forbid girls from being educated. Sharia Law, which again, is MUSLIM LAW, does those horrid things. One last time, can you spot the difference?

I understand that many Liberals cannot, or to be more precise will not note the differences. They are too obsessed with their perverse definition of “equality” and moral relativism. They simple refuse to recognize that some cultures are superior to others. They will, however, gladly denounce Christians for opposing Gay marriage. Yet, try to find any Liberal of note denouncing the executions of Gay people, or those even suspected of being Gay in some Muslim nations?

Yes, certainly Liberals will denounce the so-called “war on women” they claim, falsely, I might add, that Republicans are engaged in here in America. Yet, again, try to find the Liberal outrage over how women are treated under Sharia Law. Yes, the Left will gladly denounce the evils of Western Culture, but do they denounce Sharia Law? Cue the crickets chirping.

OK, as I said previously, I was waiting for all the info on the Herman Cain saga to be revealed. Well, I have seen, and heard, enough! I n fact, I have heard and seen FAR MORE than enough!

Enough bimbo eruptions, enough gold digging skanks, enough of publicity whore Gloria Allred, enough media saturation, enough of BS charges meant not to shine light on injustice, but to destroy the character and political chances of a good man!

There is, as far as I can tell NOTHING behind the charges against Cain, just as there is nothing behind the childish attempts to blame Rick Perry for “leaking” these charges. As I said, I think that Cain is a good man, too good, I would think than to try to destroy the good name of Perry with baseless accusations. Especially while Cain’s own reputation is being trashed!

And ENOUGH of stuff like THIS from Pam Gellar!

Rick Perry? Please. I questioned his very bad judgment when I exposed his entire Islamic curriculum, dawah and proselytizing, to Texas school children. To this day he has never come clean about that. And the fact that he was Al Gore’s manager does not bode well.

Perry is a snake. Watch him. He is creepy. And his freak show speech in New Hampshire recently belonged in a Roger Corman film.

Perry supports Israelas strongly as any other candidate, if not more and makes no bones about it! He would be a great friend to Israel, as his opposition to a Palestnian State suggests. If anyone doubts me, just Google or Bing Rick Perry Israel. See how many Leftists and pro-Palestine nuts are out there demonizing Perry for his stances!

Further, Perry is LOATHED by trial lawyers, abortion rights advocates, gun control zealots, and his Conservative economic policies speak for themselves. Perry is a good man, as is Cain, and if Gellar supports Cain for president, fine. I did too, until his failure to grasp too many foreign policy questions, and his unwarranted attacks on Perry made me go a different direction. What made me switch to Perry was, though, far more about his record, credentials, and policies!

I like Pam Gellar, and support a her efforts to oppose Sharia Law and radical Islam, she is, in many ways, a national hero, but, she is, I would say way off-base where Perry is concerned. And frankly, I will not allow a man I think a great deal of to be maligned unfairly. And to be sure there are some other takes on the school programs Gellar is so upset over and you can find  a good one here  

Now, can we get back to debating issues, and can the media stop trying to destroy anyone who might unseat Obama, PLEASE! By the way, an exit question, why is it that the media has been gloves off where Romney is concerned?

(AFP) — An Egyptian court sentenced a man to three years in jail with hard labour on Saturday for insulting Islam in postings on Facebook, the official MENA news agency reported.

The Cairo court found that Ayman Yusef Mansur “intentionally insulted the dignity of the Islamic religion and attacked it with insults and ridicule on Facebook,” the agency reported.

The court said his insults were “aimed at the Noble Koran, the true Islamic religion, the Prophet of Islam and his family and Muslims, in a scurrilous manner,” the agency reported.

It did not provide details on what he had written that was deemed to be offensive.

Judge Orders Use of Sharia Law in Florida Case – Human Events

The Islamic Education Center of Tampa forced out several of its trustees back in 2002. The trustees contested their eviction, and claim they sat down with an Islamic scholar to arbitrate their complaints. The arbitrator ruled in their favor, but the mosque denied this arbitration was properly conducted, and did not accept the decision. The trustees took their case to the Florida courts, which suited the mosque just fine. Control of a substantial amount of funding is at stake.

On March 3, Hillsborough Circuit Judge Richard Nielsen announced that he would decide the case by consulting shari’a law to determine whether the arbitration was conducted properly, and should therefore be binding. Only if his adventure in Islamic scholarship determines the arbitration was invalid will he revert to using Florida civil law to determine the ultimate outcome of the case.

As reported by the St. Petersburg Times, the mosque contested this decision, stating through their attorney that they “believe wholeheartedly in the Koran and its teachings” and “follow Islamic law in connection with their spiritual endeavors,” but they also “believe Florida law should apply in Florida courts.”

It would be fair to note that the mosque evidently feels it has a better chance of winning its case under state law than shari’a, but that doesn’t make their assessment of the situation any less valid.

The Times quotes Neelofer Syed, a Tampa lawyer who gives lectures on Islamic law, who notes that the mosque is a corporation under Florida law, and makes the common-sense observation that “if you live in a country, you are subject to that country’s laws.”

Florida is already considering legislation to ban the use of foreign legal codes in state courts. There’s no question such legislation is urgently needed. This is not just about Islamic law. Judges who fancy themselves enlightened citizens of the world have often cited foreign laws to justify their decisions, all the way up to the Supreme Court. They should all be forbidden from doing so.

Americans don’t get to vote on shaping foreign laws. Their legal and cultural history had no role in defining shari’a. It has absolutely no place in a state or federal court. If two parties wish to voluntarily follow its prescriptions, through mutual consent, that is their business. As soon as it becomes a legal affair under a U.S. judge, Islamic law becomes irrelevant.

There is obviously no mutual consent here, as the mosque has requested judgment in a civil court. They should be obliged, as should any American citizen who makes such a request. There are other Muslim Americans who will seek relief from shari’a through federal and state jurisprudence. The stakes will not always be expressed in dollars.

American judges have no business imposing shari’a on anyone… not even a mosque.
