Congressional Republicans To Wear Red “1,000 Days” Buttons At SOTU Address Tonight – Gateway Pundit

……………………….

(Some) Congressional Republicans will wear red “1000 Days” buttons tonight at the State of the Union Address to represent the thousand days since the Democratic-led Senate last passed a budget.

The Hill reported, via Lucianne:

Some congressional Republicans today will wear red buttons Tuesday that read “1000 days” in white lettering as a reminder that today marks 1,000 days since the Senate last passed a budget.

Rep. Jeff Duncan (R-S.C.) said on the House floor Tuesday morning that the button is meant to remind people that the Senate has been “acting irresponsibly” by not passing a budget resolution since April 2009.

House Republicans approved a budget resolution last year, and this year are considering ways to formalize a process they say is critical at a time of fiscal crisis.

The House Budget Committee today is considering a bill that gives what should be an annual budget resolution the force of law.
