Meet Rep. Rush Holt, Moonbat, Leftist, Alarmist, Panic Monger, and all around moron
U.S. Senate candidate Rush Holt said his claim made Monday that “millions will die” if something isn’t done to address global warming was reality, not hyperbole.
“I think it’s no exaggeration at all to say that millions will die. And in fact there’s pretty good evidence that millions already have died because of climate change,” Holt, a congressman from central New Jersey who’s seeking the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate, said in a Star-Ledger editorial board meeting this morning.
Is it just me or are Leftists not the most unpleasant people to be around, doom, gloom, pessimism, the sky is falling, and on and on. Note that I have said before that Leftism is an , they just cannot get enough bad news.
Christie giving the obligatory “The GOP left me” speech just got a tad closer
TRENTON — Gov. Chris Christie is cashing in donations from top Democratic fundraisers and other traditionally liberal donors across the country, even nabbing the support of a handful of rainmakers aligned with President Obama and Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, a Star-Ledger review of state and federal records shows.
The checks are flying into the Republican governor’s war chest from all sorts of unlikely places — the hedge fund run by liberal billionaire George Soros, for example, and the politically progressive halls of the University of California, Berkeley.
You just knew he would throw the Race Card didn’t you?
This weekend, at an event celebrating Black History Month at Shiloh Baptist Church in Trenton, N.J., the senator answered the accusations with the words of Martin Luther King Jr.
“Dr. King said that ‘the arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice,’” he said, according to the New Jersey Star-Ledger. “Now we face anonymous, faceless, nameless individuals from right-wing sources seeking to destroy a lifetime of work. And their scares are false. I have worked too hard and too long in the vineyards to allow, at my hands, for the harvest to be soured.”
“I have felt the sting of discrimination,” he said, according to the North Jersey Record.
Menendez said he believes ultimately, “justice will overcome the forces of darkness.”
“I have my hand on the plough,” he said, “and I am going to continue to look forward and to work to make that plough lead us to the fulfillment of educational, economic and health care opportunity in this country.”
Of course, the Senator IS innocent until proven guilty, but it seems that the raaaaacism defense always precedes an admission of guilt.
