And the Fucking Democrats gave it away and screwed the South Vietnamese
And the Fucking Democrats gave it away and screwed the South Vietnamese
Consider this quote from Thomas Jefferson, via Zion’s Trumpet As you weigh these words of wisdom ask yourself how many of today’s Congressmen would actually say these words and MEAN them!
Not many, Hell many would label these the words of an extremist so, my question is how has this happened? What blows me away is that we have grown so very foolish in just 240 years or so. They say those that forget history are bound to repeat it. I am not so sure we have forgotten, we are so far removed from the Founders it as if we never learned it to begin with.
CHRIS MATTHEWS: Why is John McCain so angry? Forty years after the Vietnam POWs came home, the most famous of them is angrier than ever. Why is America, why are we fighting the Vietnam war all over again in the United States Senate? The ticked off vitriol against Chuck Hagel, what is it about is? Is it for show? Is it about something Hagel said in the cloakroom? Is it about the basic unfairness of Vietnam itself that some went and some didn’t? Is it about Lyndon Johnson’s inability to either win that war or end it? What is it that burns so deeply in John McCain these days? It seems to excite those who knew nothing of Vietnam, but for hard reasons want to replay it again and again in Iraq and Afghanistan and Libya and Syria and, yes, eventually in Iran. Well, tonight, we dig into the deep well of resentment burning in John McCain’s patriotic heart.
A resentment not against the North Vietnamese who imprisoned and toured him all those years, not against George W. Bush and his political henchmen who tried to stain McCain’s reputation back in 2000, but against a guy who fought against fear and rallied against wounds just like he did in the same army of America’s long nightmare in Vietnam, Chuck Hagel. A nightmare by the way whose flashbacks must haunt still the mind and heart of John Sidney McCain. I’m joined by David Corn of Mother Jones and Joy Reid of the Grio. Both are MSNBC analysts. Both of you, sir and lady, are younger than me but I’m absolutely convinced we’re watching a flashback. Watch this. Here is Senator John McCain. Did he a long, angry windup before he launched into his first so-called question. It was really an indictment for a former Senate colleague and former friend and fellow Vietnam veteran Chuck Hagel. It included putdowns as well as references to Vietnam.
Senator McCain is not my favorite Republican, and I have been critical at times of his politics, but frankly, Matthews comments are deplorable. What the Hell has loud mouthed Matthews who looks like Newt’s retarded little brother ever done? Seriously what? I mean besides being a loud-mouthed fool who sounds like he is either drunk, or habitually stupid, or both. John McCain sacrificed for this nation while fighting Communists. Matthews, today, serves as nothing more than a useful idiot for modern-day Leftism. What an absolutely despicable excuse for a man Chris Matthews is.
The girl is a first-grader at West Marion Elementary School. She was supposed to read the poem during a school assembly marking Veteran’s Day. The poem honored her two grandfathers who had served during the Vietnam War.
“He prayed to God for peace, he prayed to God for strength,” the poem read.
A parent reportedly found out about the poem and expressed concern about mentioning the word God during a school event. The parent did not want the Almighty’s name mentioned anywhere in the program, according to one account.
“We wanted to make sure we were upholding the school district’s responsibility of separation of church and state from the Establishment Clause,” Supt. Gerri Martin told the McDowell News.
Martin told the newspaper she made the decision in consultation with the school’s principal and vice principal.
“We jointly decided that we must err on the side of caution to prevent crossing the line on the Establishment Clause of the Constitution,” Kirkpatrick told the newspaper. “As a principal of a public school, I must put aside my personal religious beliefs and follow the law — which upholds that we have freedom of speech and freedom of religion, but that we, as public schools, cannot endorse one single religion over another.”
Wait, what? The words were not the school, our the Congress, they were the words of that particular child. And, to be brutally honest, her words came no where close to endorsing any specific religion. Many religions speak of God don’t they? Look what we have become here folks. A nation of whiners who get their way because too many of us are afraid of offending them. This case is asinine. Now had the school instructed kids to write a poem praising or thanking God, that would be too much because it would violate that child’s religious freedom. But this child CLEARLY has every right to say, write, and use the word God. Once more the right’s of an American are trampled so as to protect some imagined right to never be offended.
Jane Fonda, who rightfully deserves her own wing in the Marxist Moron Hall of Shame. It seems Hanoi Jane just cannot grasp why so many
Americans well funded and organized political extremist groups hate her. Stacy McCain explains, so take notes Jane
Jane Fonda’s outspoken support for America’s communist enemies, and her 1972 propaganda tour of North Vietnam, are simply facts of history:
In 1971 Fonda was the chief financier of VVAW’s Winter Soldier Investigation (WSI), which took place in Detroit from January 31 through February 2 of that year. The largest war crimes tribunal held in the U.S. during the Vietnam War, WSI featured a host of VVAW members who related gruesome stories of atrocities they claimed to have participated in or witnessed in Vietnam; they insisted that rape, torture and murder were standard practices for the American military. In reality, WSI was a continuation of the anti-U.S. war crimes propaganda campaign which had begun in Europe with KGB-sponsored events that were organized before the first American ground troops ever arrived in Vietnam. Several of the WSI discussion panel moderators were radical leaders who had previously met with top North Vietnamese and Vietcong representatives in Hanoi and Paris. Also present were leftist psychiatrists, psychoanalysts and clinicians, who pressured the witnesses to help end the war by publicly confessing their “crimes.”
In July-August 1972 Fonda made her infamous trip to North Vietnam. By this time, over 50,000 Americans had been killed in the war. While there, she posed for pictures on an anti-aircraft gun that had been used to shoot down American planes, and she volunteered to do a radio broadcast from Hanoi. She made approximately eight radio addresses, during which she told American pilots in the area:
“Use of these bombs or condoning the use of these bombs makes one a war criminal … Examine the reasons given to justify the murder you are being paid to commit … I don’t know what your officers tell you … but [your] weapons are illegal and that’s not just rhetoric … The men who are ordering you to use these weapons are war criminals according to international law, and in the past, in Germany and Japan, men who committed these kinds of crimes were tried and executed.”
Fonda also quoted Ho Chi Minh during some of these broadcasts. She referred to President Richard Nixon as a “new-type Hitler,” and advised South Vietnamese soldiers to desert: “You are being used as cannon fodder for U.S. imperialism.”
These radio addresses were aired repeatedly by the North Vietnamese Communists, for whom propaganda was a key tool of psychological warfare; they used the broacasts not only to hearten their own citizens, but also to undermine the American public’s will to go forward with the war, and to crush the morale of U.S. and allied forces. . . .
So, Jane Fonda has more than earned the loathing most of us cast her way. Fact is Jane, many of us are disgusted at your actions, which were treason in my book. If I had been in charge Jane, your goofy ass would STILL be in North Vietnam! Yet here you are, reaping the benefits of the nation that you spat on.
