The story of Benghazi just gets worse, and worse, and worse
Yesterday, former National Security Adviser Bud McFarlane added this on Obama’s non-response to the Benghazi 9-11 terrorist attack:
“To have known what he had available, to have known that Americans were under fire, and to have done nothing, is dereliction of duty that I have never seen in a Commander in Chief from a president of any party. Outrageous.”
To me outrageous does not cover it, this is looking more everyday like our president turned his back on Americans serving their country. I cannot even fathom I would ever say that, not even with this president. Here is the video, via Gateway Pundit
In the clip, Steve Doocy notes the political angle for the president. I have thought long and hard about that. What possible political benefit could President Obama hope to get out of this? There is nothing in this story that makes him look presidential, or resolute, nothing at all. Maybe the SEALs should have said there was a storm coming, then maybe the president would have acted concerned.
A strengthening Hurricane Sandy disrupted the campaign for the White House Monday, with President Obama rushing out of battleground Florida to get Air Force One safely back to Washington and monitor the storm from the White House.
Republican nominee Mitt Romney was campaigning in the Midwest Monday out of the storm’s path, but called off events scheduled in Virginia Sunday and New Hampshire Tuesday.
Obama, mindful of his need to show command in crisis while in the final throes of a tough re-election campaign, met with federal emergency officials Sunday before flying to Florida that night ahead of a rally scheduled for Monday at noon. But the intensifying storm heading to the East Coast took priority, with the president signing emergency declarations for New England states in the middle of the night from his Orlando hotel room.
So, the president leaves a campaign rally when a storm, yes, a severe storm, threatens, but leaves for Vegas when our embassy is attacked? Stacy McCain opines that this is just another step in Obama’s “Under the Bus” presidency
The idea of Obama throwing small businesses under the bus echoes the 9/11/2012 under-bussing of two ex-SEALS and a couple State Department officials fighting for their lives in Benghazi.
What a stone cold creep. But, a consistent creep.
