Even though I do not care for Donald Trump, I have to say…………

…………………that THIS is asinine

Washington Post Reporter Karen Attiah signaled a Donald Trump scandal on Monday afternoon claiming that Trump “hit on her.” (Karen Attiah is the Washington Post’s Opinions Deputy Digital Editor)

So I waited for hours to read Ms .Attiah tell the salacious story of Donald Trump’s advances.  Did he proposition her, or touch her inappropriately?

As it turns out Trump’s big crime was saying she was beautiful.  That was it. This is what she wrote at at the Washington Post:

As the meeting ended and we were walking out of the room, I thanked Trump for taking my question. He turned to me and said, “I really hope I answered your question,” and added casually with a smile, “Beautiful.” I was stunned. I didn’t say thank you, and I don’t think I smiled. He then walked out to meet with my Post colleagues briefly before heading to the elevator. I stayed in the conference room for a few minutes as it sunk in that the potential GOP nominee for president thought it was okay to comment on my appearance. Did he just say that?

Oh, no! You mean he complimented a pretty woman? How are he, how dare anyone? I mean there can be no greater sin than saying a woman is attractive can there?

Seriously Karen, a lot of men would compliment you, some might even hit on you. You are a lovely woman. I mean really, it is hard for a rational person to see you as a victim here.

Jeff Dunotz closes us out with this

That’s it. He called her beautiful! Call it sexist if you wish, call it grossly inappropriate, patronizing and awkward unctuousness, but if thats what Karen Attiah calls being hit on, she really needs to switch to decaf.

What that incident really consisted of is a liberal reporter trying to slander Donald Trump. I am not a fan of Donald Trump, so what makes me especially angry about her ruse is that I feel the urge to defend him. There are so many nasty things Donald Trump says and does on a daily basis, why did Karen Attiah have to exaggerate a “beautiful” into getting “hit on.”
