If this was a terror attack, you knew, we all did, that it would happen here, again CBS News Live

CNN has coverage here, 20 feared dead, dozens more wounded

Approximately 20 people are dead inside Pulse, a gay nightclub, Orlando Police Chief John Mina said Sunday morning, just hours after a shooter opened fire in the club. At least 42 people have been transported for medical treatment, he said.

Police have shot and killed the gunman, Mina told reporters.
“It’s appears he was organized and well-prepared,” the chief said, adding that the shooter had an assault-type weapon, a handgun and “some type of (other) device on him.” Law enforcement sources told CNN that the device, which was strapped to the suspect, was possibly explosive, but authorities don’t know if it was real or not.
A canine unit indicated there were explosives inside the suspect’s car as well, the sources said.

While investigators are exploring all angles, they “have suggestions the individual has leanings towards (Islamic terrorism), but right now we can’t say definitely,” said Ron Hopper, assistant special agent in charge of the FBI’s Orlando bureau.

Update: Our colleagues at Twitchy are on the story as well.

Update: The terrorist has been identified as a 30-year-old American male citizen from Port St. Lucie, Florida. In keeping with our policy of refusing to name mass or spree killers, we will not name him. We will note that authorities think that the shooters has radical Islamist ties.
