Miscreants like Casey, who loathe natural rights, are a disgrace to the United States Senate. Independent Sentinel explains
We are facing the loss of our constitutional rights which has been put on the fast-track by Barack Obama. Democrat attorneys general are trying to silence climate deniers by prosecuting them, hate speech is becoming the law, foreign law has made its way into our legal system, Democrats are demanding the end of that pesky Due Process and others are saying we need to “moderate” or “clarify” the 2nd Amendment.
Our Founders, of course, clarified, quite eloquently, the Bill of Rights. The clearest of the clarifications is that those rights are not “given” by government. They are natural rights
Alleged 2nd Amendment supporter Senator Bob Casey, claimed he “opposes increased regulation on firearm ownership” though he did vote for banning high-capacity magazines with over 10 bullets (10 bullets are high-capacity?). His latest idea is to disarm people if they are involved in a “hate crime”.
These aren’t even felonies we are talking about, they are misdemeanors.
His newly unveiled legislation will “[P]rohibit the sale of firearms to anyone reasonably suspected to be guilty of a misdemeanor hate crime.”
Who decides what’s reasonable?
Who? Why the “reasonable” Neo-Marxists who do not grasp the concept of natural rights.
“If you have proven you will commit criminal acts based on hate, you absolutely should not have access to a gun. It’s common sense,” Senator Casey said. “It is time we as members of Congress do something. If you are a member of Congress and you say you care about security then you have to take steps to keep guns out of the wrong hands and ensure our law enforcement has the resources needed to keep communities safe.”
Who gets to decide what crime is a hate crime? What are the guidelines? Will political enemies be automatically eligible? It’s an abandonment of the Rule of Law.
This is a thought crime of course.
BINGO! The Left has “evolved” from a war on “hate speech” which to them is defined as any speech they disapprove of, to a war on thoughts. Paging George Orwell
