Is Ichiro the greatest hitter in baseball history?

He has the most professional hits, 4,278, 1,278 in Japan, and now 3,000 in MLB.

Miami Marlins outfielder Ichiro Suzuki cemented his place in baseball lore Sunday, as he became the 30th player in MLBhistory to record 3,000 career hits with a triple in the top of the seventh inning against the Colorado Rockies:

Pete Rose has 4,256, with a .303 average all in MLB. Ty Cobb, has 4,156 with a .367 average here are some more contenders

Hank Aaron 3,771 with a .304 avg.

Stan Musial  with 3,630 and a .331 avg.

Tris Speaker 3,515 with a .354 avg.
