General Flynn Accepts Post As National Security Advisor – Fox News

Retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn on Friday accepted President-elect Donald Trump’s offer to be his national security adviser, Fox News confirmed.

Flynn, who served as the director of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) between 2012 and 2014, has advised Trump on national security issues for months. As national security adviser, he would work in the White House and have frequent access to the president.

The position does not require confirmation by the Senate. Whoever holds it is typically shielded from congressional requests to testify or produce documents.

After leaving the DIA, Flynn became a virulent critic of the Obama administration and the Pentagon. He took issue with a wide range of national security policies, including the administration’s approach to fighting ISIS and, more generally, its handling of global affairs.

Flynn asserted that he had been forced out of the DIA because he disagreed with the administration’s approach to combating extremism. His critics, however, claimed he had mismanaged the agency and that his efforts to force change had met with internal resistance.

In recent public comments, including his fiery address at July’s Republican National Convention, Flynn has emphasized his view that the threat posed by ISIS requires a more aggressive U.S. military, as well as his belief that Washington should work more closely with Moscow.

Flynn is also a champion of renegotiating the Iran nuclear deal, another foreign policy theme Trump pushed during the campaign…

Senator Sessions Agrees To Serve As Trump’s Attorney General – Zero Hedge
.

.
Some background on the Sessions appointment, courtesy of Bloomberg, which elevates one of Trump’s earliest congressional backers, and one of the most conservative senators, to serve as the nation’s top law enforcement official.

The 69-year-old, four-term Alabama Republican is a hard-liner on free trade and immigration, arguing that prospective immigrants don’t have constitutional protections. He has opposed efforts to overhaul prison sentencing, back off the war on drugs and legalize marijuana.

Sessions, a former federal prosecutor, was one of the few lawmakers to defend Trump after he proposed a complete shutdown on Muslims entering the U.S. He told Stephen Bannon on a radio show in 2015 that Trump was “treading on dangerous ground” but it is “appropriate to begin to discuss” the issue…

Trump Picks Congressman Pompeo To Be CIA Director – Washington Examiner

Kansas Rep. Mike Pompeo will be nominated to be President-elect Trump’s director of the Central Intelligence Agency, according to the transition team.

Pompeo, a former Army captain, was first elected in 2010 and serves on the House Select Intelligence Committee and the House Committee on Energy and Commerce, as well as the House Select Committee on Benghazi.

“I am honored to have been given this opportunity to serve and to work alongside President-elect Donald J. Trump to keep America safe. I also look forward to working with America’s intelligence warriors, who do so much to protect Americans each and every day,” Pompeo said in a statement.

The Kansas congressman is a graduate of West Point and Harvard Law School and was once an editor of the Harvard Law Review. He founded Thayer Aerospace, which made airplane parts, and served as the company’s CEO before selling his interest.

According to his website, Pompeo’s major interests in Congress have been freeing up businesses from government regulations and “defending our individual constitutional rights.”

He’s previously said that Edward Snowden, a former contractor who leaked thousands of documents on the American intelligence system, should get the death penalty. He was a fervent questioner of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton during the hours-long Benghazi hearing that delved deeply into Clinton’s private email server in 2015…

Mother Sues Her Son For Trying To Become A Girl Without Permission – Law Newz
.

.
A mother is suing after her 17-year-old son received hormone treatment to transition from male to female without her consent. Anmarie Calgaro claims that her parental rights were taken away from her when her child, whom she continues to refer to as her son, was able to undergo procedures despite still being a minor.

“I was not consulted or informed about this in any way,” Calgaro said at a press conference.

Minnesota, where Calgaro is from, does not have any statutes regarding the process of the general emancipation of minors, but it does have a law allowing emancipation for medical purposes. Minnesota Statute § 144.341 says:

Notwithstanding any other provision of law, any minor who is living separate and apart from parents or legal guardian, whether with or without the consent of a parent or guardian and regardless of the duration of such separate residence…

3D Printed Skull Gives 7-Year-Old Boy New Lease Of Life Two Years After Tragic Fall Crushed 50% Of The Bones In His Head – Daily Mail

A seven-year-old boy who lost half his skull in a fall has been given a new lease of life thanks to a 3D printed skull.

Teddy Ward was just five when he slipped and fell down a cliff in Topanga Canyon, near Los Angeles.

The impact crushed his head, shattering all of the bone on his left side.

After surgery to replace the skull was unsuccessful, he was sent home with a helmet, ordered to wear it 24 hours a day.

It meant Teddy – described by his mother as a ‘rambunctious kid’ – could not go to friends parties for fear of getting on a bounce house, and his friends parents could not bear the risk of hurting him during a sleepover.

But now he is running around like any of child, thanks to a newly-designed skull that almost perfectly mimics the original.

It was created by doctors at the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles after years of research to find a solution for Teddy.

The final product, surgically implanted earlier this year, was made from a material called PolyEtherEtherKetone (or, PEEK).

Uniquely, it bears all the physical hallmarks of real skull material.

‘This was a remarkable defect,’ his doctor, Dr Mark Urata, told CBS Los Angeles.

‘It was close to 50 percent of his skull that was gone.’

Now that Teddy is back to normal – running around, dabbing, sliding and screaming – his mother Lisa Ward is ecstatic…

New Customers Selecting An Obamacare Plan Down 33% Since Last Year – Washington Free Beacon
.

.
The number of new customers who have submitted an application and selected a health care plan through HealthCare.gov is down 33 percent since last year, according to new open enrollment figures released by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

In the first 12 days of the open enrollment period that began on Nov. 1, 1,008,218 individuals signed up for coverage through the Affordable Care Act, popularly known as Obamacare. That is 69,658 fewer signups than last year, when 1,077,876 individuals enrolled in the first two weeks of open enrollment. This year’s open enrollment period had two fewer days than last year due to a five-day week in the beginning of open enrollment.

The number of new customers who selected plans for the 2017 coverage year declined 33 percent from last year. During this year’s enrollment period, 246,433 new consumers selected plans, while 366,477 new customers selected plans last year…

Electoral College Voters Deluged With Death Threats From Crazed Leftists – WorldNetDaily

One of Michigan’s 16 electors who will be called upon to cast a vote validating the election of Donald Trump in the Electoral College has testified on video that he and others in the state are receiving “dozens and dozens of death threats” from Hillary Clinton supporters urging them to switch his vote to Clinton.

On Dec. 19 the Electoral College will convene to cast their votes for either Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton, with each state’s electors pledged to vote for the candidate elected on Nov. 8 in their state.

But a handful of states have no laws making it illegal for the electors to change their vote while others have only a minor penalty such as a fine for doing so. If Clinton’s supporters can get enough of the 163 electors from states where Trump both won and votes can be legally switched on Dec. 19, Hillary Clinton becomes the next president of the United States.

Michael Banerian, 22, of Oakland County, Michigan, is one of that state’s 16 official electors who will meet in the state capital of Lansing on Dec. 19 to cast their votes for Trump. He told the Detroit News Thursday he has received threatening emails, lots of them, from people telling him to vote for Democrat Clinton instead of the GOP victor he is pledged to support. Trump won Michigan’s popular vote and should be able to count on the 16 electoral votes in that state.

But Clinton supporters have “deluged Banerian and other GOP electors with pleas and nasty emails to reverse course and cast their ballots for Clinton,” the Michigan Republican Party is reporting…

Meet The First Leftist Parasite Charged With Threatening To Assassinate Trump – Freedom Daily

The election of President Elect Donald Trump has brought about a lot of discourse. More so than ever before. There are riots and protests in the street and violence is breaking out all over. Some argue that it has been encouraged by liberal race baiters like Michael Moore and Al Sharpton. It did not take long for people to start threatening to assassinate Donald Trump.

A 24 year old Ohio man was officially charged in federal court for threatening to murder President Elect Donald Trump via Twitter on election night. The young mans name is Zachary Benson and he lives in Fairview Park, Cleveland. The tweet was posted shortly before Trump was declared the winner.

His tweet stated, “My life goal is to assassinate Trump. Don’t care if I serve infinite sentences. That man deserves to decease (sic) existing.”

However, just seconds before he had tweeted, “Diplomacy. F***ing fools. I hate you all. I want to bomb every one of your voting booths and your general areas.”

Just mere hours later he was arrested by the Secret Service and interviewed. Now that he has finally been elected the Secret Service and FBI are likely taking these threats even more seriously now more than ever. Whether you like Donald Trump or not it is never ok to threaten to harm someone, let along murder them.

So many have descended into anarchy and chaos simply because their candidate did not win and it is absolutely ludicrous…

Obama Sets New Record For Regulations: 527 Pages In 1 Day – WorldNetDaily
.

.
President Obama on Thursday set a record for the most pages of federal rules and regulations ever issued in a year by one president, adding 572 pages to the Federal Register, bringing his 2016 total to 81,640 pages.

And he still has weeks left to add to that figure.

The Competitive Enterprise Institute, which tracks such activity, points out Obama has generated eight of the top 11 years for rules ever.

George W. Bush took 5th, in 2008, and 9th and 10th, in 2004 and 2002.

So far, Obama has generated 635,448 pages of rules, or 217 per day, or nine for every hour he’s been president. (That assumes a full eight-year term, so actually those numbers will go up with any more he produces before he leaves office)…

Mexican Mayor Arrested After Hundreds Massacred And Cooked In Network Of Ovens – Breitbart

Mexican authorities have arrested the former mayor of a rural community in the border state of Coahuila in connection with the kidnapping, murder and incineration of hundreds of victims through a network of ovens at the hands of the Los Zetas cartel. The arrest comes after Breitbart Texas exposed not only the horrors of the mass extermination, but also the cover-up and complicity of the Mexican government.

On Thursday morning, Coahuila state authorities arrested Sergio Alonzo Rodriguez, the former mayor of Allende, Coahuila, on the charge of aggravated kidnapping, information provided to Breitbart Texas by the Coahuila government revealed. Rodriguez was the mayor of Allende, Coahuila in March, 2011, when a commando of Los Zetas kidnapped dozens of people who were then murdered and incinerated.

Earlier this year, Breitbart Texas published the results of a three-month investigation into how Los Zetas were able to kidnap, torture, execute and incinerate approximately 300 victims – including women and children – between 2011 and 2013. Approximately 150 of the victims were taken to the Piedras Negras state prison where cartel members used 55-gallon drums to incinerate the human remains.

Mexican court documents obtained by Breitbart Texas revealed that the wave of terror unleashed by Los Zetas began as an internal spat between Los Zetas, resulting in the leadership ordering the murder of every individual related, connected or associated with two former members…

With over 90% of all transactions done in cash, money flows in and out of the black-and-white system… until now, as Devangshu Datta exclaims, “The system works because everybody believes that those pieces of paper will be accepted by everybody else… This move has shaken that trust.”

Farmers have been left stranded as traders have no cash to pay for their produce, while millions of Indians lined up outside banks and post offices for the ninth day to exchange old banknotes or withdraw rationed money from their accounts…

Trump May Not Get To Work Out Of Oval Office For A Year Due To Obama Putting Off Security Upgrades – Daily Mail

President-elect Donald Trump has captured the White House, but he may have to wait a while to ensconce himself inside the Oval Office.

Former George W. Bush advisor Karl Rove said Wednesday that major security upgrades are planned for the ceremonial office and seat of presidential power – and that it could put the office out of commission for up to a year.

If that occurs, he said, President Trump might have to spend up to a quarter of his term working out of the Eisenhower Executive Office Building across the street – where President Richard Nixon labored and made some of his infamous White House recordings.

‘My understanding is that for the first year of his time in office, President Trump will not have the Oval Office,’ Rove told Fox News on Wednesday.

‘President Obama could have told the Secret Service, “I know you want to modernize the Oval Office with security enhancements – literally strip it down to the bare walls and build it back up so we’ve got bullet proof glass and so forth and so on, security arrangements in it, in my last year in office,”‘ Rove said.

‘But Instead he said, “Why don’t you do that [with] whoever comes next so the president of the United States, President Trump, my understanding is, will spend most of his first year using Richard Nixon’s old office in the Old Executive Office Building across executive drive and up the Navy steps.”…

iPhones Could Be ‘Made In America’ As Apple Asks Foxconn To Consider U.S. Manufacturing – MacRumors
.

.
Apple manufacturing partner Foxconn has been studying the possibility of moving iPhone production to the United States, according to Japanese website Nikkei Asian Review, leading to hopeful speculation some iPhones could one day be “Made in America” rather than be assembled and imported from China.

The report claims Apple asked both Foxconn and rival supplier Pegatron, which denied the request, to look into making iPhones stateside, although Foxconn chairman Terry Gou is said to be less enthusiastic about the idea due to inevitably higher production costs in the United States compared to China.

“Apple asked both Foxconn and Pegatron, the two iPhone assemblers, in June to look into making iPhones in the U.S.,” a source said. “Foxconn complied, while Pegatron declined to formulate such a plan due to cost concerns.”…

Rutgers Professor Threatens To Kill White People Online, Is Carted Off To Bellevue For Psychological Evaluation – Daily Caller

A Rutgers professor became so upset about Donald Trump’s election victory that police took him in for a psychological evaluation, New Jersey authorities announced Wednesday.

Kevin Allred is a women’s and gender studies professor and the creator of Politicizing Beyoncé, and given his specialty it was unsurprising that he wasn’t happy that Trump won. But Allred began to go off the rails on Twitter, tweeting his desire to kill white people.

“[W]ill the 2nd Amendment be as cool when i buy a gun and start shooting atrandom [sic] white people or no?,” he asked on Twitter Nov. 10.

On Tuesday night, police showed up at his house to check up on him, and then carted him off to Bellevue Hospital in New York City for a two-hour psychological evaluation.

“NYPD just came to my house b/c Rutgers Police told them I’m a threat based on political statements I’ve made on campus and on twitter,” Allred said in a series of Twitter posts Tuesday night. “They’ve forced me to now undergo a psychiatric evaluation at the hospital. [T]hey brought me by ambulance tho i’m not under arrest technically.”

The encounter hardly improved Allred’s irate condition.

“[T]his is for exercising my fucking first amendment rights. [I’m] being labeled a threat and put in a psych hospital,” he continue on Twitter.

Even though Trump is not yet president, Allred says his police encounter was “proof positive that Trump’s crackdown on free speech has absolutely begun.” He argued his suggestion of shooting random white people was not a threat because it was merely a rhetorical question rather than a statement of intent…

USGS Announces Largest Estimate Of Oil And Gas Ever Assessed In The U.S. – Hot Air
.

.
Tuesday the U.S. Geological Survey announced the largest ever assessment of “continuous oil” ever made in the United States. The Wolfcamp shale in the area of Midland, Texas is estimated to contain three times the oil and gas of the Bakken shale formation in Montana and North Dakota. From the USGS:

The Wolfcamp shale in the Midland Basin portion of Texas’ Permian Basin province contains an estimated mean of 20 billion barrels of oil, 16 trillion cubic feet of associated natural gas, and 1.6 billion barrels of natural gas liquids, according to an assessment by the U.S. Geological Survey. This estimate is for continuous (unconventional) oil, and consists of undiscovered, technically recoverable resources.

The estimate of continuous oil in the Midland Basin Wolfcamp shale assessment is nearly three times larger than that of the 2013 USGS Bakken-Three Forks resource assessment, making this the largest estimated continuous oil accumulation that USGS has assessed in the United States to date…

11 Very Depressing Economic Realities That Trump Will Inherit From Obama – Zero Hedge

It would be a grave mistake to understate the amount of damage that has been done to the U.S. economy over the past eight years. In this article, I am going to share some economic numbers with you that are extremely sobering. Anyone that takes a cold, hard, honest look at the numbers should be able to see that our economy is in terrible shape. Unfortunately, the way that we see things is often clouded by our political views.

Up until the election, Democrats were far more likely then Republicans to believe that the economy was improving, but now that is in the process of completely reversing. According to Gallup, only 16 percent of Republicans believed that the economy was getting better before the election, but that number has suddenly jumped to 49 percent after Trump’s election victory. And the percentage of Democrats that believe that the economy is getting better fell from 61 percent to 46 percent after the election.

Here are some additional details from Gallup:

After Trump won last week’s election, Republicans and Republican-leaning independents now have a much more optimistic view of the U.S. economy’s outlook than they did before the election. Just 16% of Republicans said the economy was getting better in the week before the election, while 81% said it was getting worse. Since the election, 49% say it is getting better and 44% worse.

Conversely, Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents’ confidence in the economy plummeted after the election. Before the election, 61% of Democrats said the economy was getting better and 35% worse…

Iowa Lawmaker Sponsors “Suck It Up, Buttercup” Bill: Cuts Funding For Schools That Excessively Coddle Students – Gateway Pundit
.

.
One Iowa lawmaker has a message for any state university that spends taxpayer dollars on grief counseling for students upset at the outcome of last week’s presidential election: “Suck it up, buttercup.”

“I’ve seen four or five schools in other states that are establishing ‘cry zones’ where they’re staffed by state grief counselors and kids can come cry out their sensitivity to the election results,” said Rep. Bobby Kaufmann, R-Wilton. “I find this whole hysteria to be incredibly annoying. People have the right to be hysterical… on their own time.”

Kaufmann plans to introduce a piece of legislation he’s calling the “suck it up, buttercup bill” when the Legislature resumes in January. It would target state universities that use taxpayer dollars to fund election-related sit-ins and grief counseling above and beyond what is normally available to students…

Meet California’s 218,667 Public Employees Making Over $100,000 A Year – Zero Hedge

Open the Books is back with another important government transparency report. This time, the organization looked closely at California payrolls, and found that 218,667 public sector employees earn six-figure salaries (in many cases far above that threshold), at a cost of $35 billion.

If Californians are fine with this sort of thing, more power to them, but it’s important to be knowledgable about where and how tax dollars are spent.

Below are a few highlight’s from Adam Andrzejewski’s (founder of Open the Books) recent article published at Forbes titled, ‘$100K Minimum Wage’ For 220,000 Highly-Compensated California Public Employees Costs Taxpayers $35B:

In many states, public service has little to do with serving the public and everything to do with using the public’s money to serve politicians. Whenever we open the books, California is consistently among the worst offenders. Recently, we found ‘animal collection curators’ making $110,290; city librarians earning $222,320; public utility commission bosses at $550,028; and county hospital doctors making $1.274 million.

This spring, at Forbes, we exposed 50,000 Illinois public employees earning six-figure salaries who cost taxpayers $8 billion. In California the numbers are exponentially larger: 218,667 employees making six-figures who cost $35 billion. For example, Illinois has 72 ‘city managers’ out-earning every governor of the 50 states. But, in California, the salaries of 171 assistant city managers average $201,550!

Using our interactive mapping tool, quickly review (by ZIP code) the 220,000 California public employees who earn more than $100,000…

Leftists Upset After Trump Ditches Scumbag Reporters Who Hate His Guts To Go Eat Dinner – Hot Air
.

.
Because I frequently wake up at a depressingly early hour I sometimes wind up catching the replays of late night cable news hosts. That was the case today, and when I first tuned in I became concerned that some sort of constitutional crisis was engulfing the nation. Something had happened involving Donald Trump and he had disappeared. Oh no! What could it be?

As it turns out, Trump’s traveling press corps had been given the full lid signal last night as the President Elect settled in at Trump Tower. After they cleared out, the First Family in waiting decided to go out for a steak dinner at a nearby eatery. Yes, this was the crisis of the day. (The Hill)

Donald Trump left Trump Tower without his press pool on Tuesday to have dinner with his family, according to reporters.

The president-elect reportedly received a standing ovation and cheers upon arriving at 21 Club, a New York City restaurant, an hour after his spokeswoman had called a “lid,” signaling to the reporters following him that he was in for the night…

Draining The Swamp: Mike Pence Purges Lobbyists From Trump Transition Team – Breitbart

Vice President-elect Mike Pence has banished all lobbyists from Donald Trump’s transition team, reassuring critics who question the president-elect’s promise to “drain the swamp” of Washington, D.C.

“[W]e’re not going to have any lobbyists involved with the transition efforts,” Trump spokesman Jason Miller explained to reporters at Trump Tower on Wednesday, in response to a report from the Wall Street Journal that one of Pence’s first acts as the head of the transition team was to banish all lobbyists.

“When we talk about draining the swamp, this is one of the first steps,” Miller said.

Pence took over the transitioning job from New Jersey Governor Christie after they won the presidential election. Many of the people on the transitional team under Christie featured “a litany of lobbyists”, according to a report from Fox News.

“I think folks will be reassured that that campaign promise is going to be fulfilled,” Miller added.

During an interview with CBS News’ 60 Minutes, Trump said that Washington, D.C. was full of lobbyists, but suggested he might need a few in his administration.

“Everybody’s a lobbyist down there,” he said. “We’re doing a lot of things to clean up the system. But everybody that works for government, they then leave government and they become a lobbyist, essentially. I mean, the whole place is one big lobbyist.”

Trump promised to “drain the swamp” of the federal government during his campaign, vowing to institute a five year ban on White House and Congressional officials from becoming lobbyists after leaving government service…

Leftist Drunk Driver Blames Car Crash On Trump – Breitbart

A drunk driver with a BAC of .33 crashed into two vehicles at a traffic stop in Minnesota Wednesday and told police officers she was drinking to drown her sorrows about President-elect Donald Trump’s victory, authorities said.

Elizabeth L. Lundberg, 33, is charged with gross-misdemeanor counts of criminal vehicular operation and third-degree driving while intoxicated in connection with the motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Main Street and Lake Drive, the Star Tribune reported.

A breathalyzer measured the St. Paul woman’s BAC just a few hours after the crash at .33 percent, more than four times the legal limit for driving in Minnesota.

“We heard a new excuse for driving over 4 times the legal limit and hitting two vehicles at a stop light Wednesday afternoon,” read the posting on the Lino Lakes Police Department’s Facebook page.

According to police, Lundberg could not spell her name and slurred her speech, but she was able to say why she was intoxicated.

“I am upset over the outcome of the election and you should let me go home,” the department’s Facebook post quoted the driver as saying.

Blaming the Trump victory came “well after I asked if everyone was OK, and I said it sarcastically. It was such a fleeing comment,” Lundberg told the Star Tribune after she left jail Monday.

She said she did not feel strongly about politics either way and admitted she was drinking heavily that day…
