Clemson Whips OSU Like A Rented Mule In Fiesta Bowl, Will Face Alabama In National Championship Game – Chicago Sun-Times

In a return trip to the desert, Clemson found redemption in utter domination.

Part I of the make-good tour is done. Now comes the really hard part: A rematch against Alabama in the College Football Playoff national championship game.

Deshaun Watson ran for two touchdowns and threw another and No. 3 Clemson crushed No. 2 Ohio State 31-0 Saturday night in the Fiesta Bowl.

Tigers coach Dabo Swinney had sold his players on getting to celebrate at the same site where they lost to Alabama in the national title game last season. This time they get the confetti shower and the trophy.

With that taken care of, it is on to Tampa, Florida, for the Tigers, where they will face the top-ranked Crimson Tide on Jan. 9. The teams that started the season ranked Nos. 1 and 2 will most certainly end it that way, too.

“If you’re going to be the best, you’ve got to beat’em,” Swinney said.

In what figures to be Watson’s final college game, he will try to lead Clemson to its first national title since 1981. The junior and Heisman Trophy runner-up passed for 259 yards and ran for 57 against the Buckeyes (11-2), who could not keep Clemson’s big and quick defensive line out of their backfield.

Freshman Clelin Ferrell had a sack among his three tackles for loss and Clemson allowed only 215 yards and nine first downs. The Buckeyes were shut out for the first time since 1993 against Michigan and Urban Meyer had one of his teams held scoreless for the first time in 194 games as a head coach…

Chicago Violence Worst In 20 Years: “Not Seen This Level Of Disrespect For Police Ever” – Zero Hedge
.

.
For months we’ve been writing about the staggering rise of violence in Chicago. As the year has worn on, the grim milestones have added up: the deadliest month in 23 years, the deadliest day in 13 years, 4,300 people shot… the list goes on and on. With five days left in 2016, official police records indicate that homicides in Chicago surged 57% YoY and shootings spiked 46%. To put those numbers into perspective, Chicago recorded over 20% more murders in 2016 than New York and Los Angeles combined, despite having a fraction of the population. Per the Chicago Tribune:

Through Dec. 26, 754 people were slain in Chicago compared with 480 during the same period last year, an increase of 57 percent, according to official Police Department statistics. The last time Chicago tallied a similar number of killings was in 1997, when 761 people were slain…

Tide Rolls Over Huskies In Peach Bowl Semifinal Game – AL

And the beat goes on. To Tampa, they go.

Alabama followed the script with bruising runs and defensive touchdowns in a 24-7 beating of Washington in the Peach Bowl semifinal.

So, it’s on to Florida for a shot at a second straight national title – the sixth of Nick Saban’s career – against Ohio State or Clemson on Jan. 9.

In the final college game played in the Georgia Dome, a sellout crowd conservatively estimated to be 75 percent Alabama-leaning, the Tide quieted Washington’s big-play offense with the defense that got them to Atlanta.

The 26th straight Alabama win saw the No. 4 Huskies gain just 194 yards. The Pac-12 champions averaged 477.2 entering the game to rank 22nd nationally. The previous low was 276 yards against USC in the only other loss of the season.

That was important since the Tide offense wasn’t quite as sharp most of the afternoon. Uncharacteristic penalties, dropped passes and general fundamental breakdowns kept the score close into the fourth quarter.

Bo Scarbrough took it from there.

The sophomore running back’s long-awaited breakout game ended any lingering doubt. His 68-yard touchdown took the tension from the dome for a 17-point lead in the final quarter. The Tuscaloosa native went for 180 yards on 19 carries as the brightest spot in Alabama’s otherwise uneven offense.

Turnovers

If Washington had an edge, it was supposed to be in the turnovers department. The Huskies led the nation in turnover margin at plus-21…

Former MI5 Intellligence Agent: Obama Russia Claims ‘Pure Propaganda’ – American Mirror
.

.
So what makes America look worse on the world stage: the assertion that a foreign government “hacked” our presidential election, or the lie that one did?

Annie Machon, former intelligence agent for the British MI5, tells RT that the latter is what happened.

“This is very much a case of fake news, shall we say. It seems to serve two ends as well,” Machon says.

“On the day when the ceasefire is announced, which has been brokered by Russia and Turkey – this is a story that will run and run in America, not the ceasefire in Syria. It’s all going to be about these Russians, and hacking the election and things like that. I think this is the first stage – this is why it was announced that the Russian diplomats were going to be expelled,” she says…

California Democrats Legalize Child Prostitution – Washington Examiner

Beginning on Jan. 1, prostitution by minors will be legal in California. Yes, you read that right.

SB 1322 bars law enforcement from arresting sex workers who are under the age of 18 for soliciting or engaging in prostitution, or loitering with the intent to do so. So teenage girls (and boys) in California will soon be free to have sex in exchange for money without fear of arrest or prosecution.

This terribly destructive legislation was written and passed by the progressive Democrats who control California’s state government with a two-thirds “supermajority.” To their credit, they are sincere in their belief that decriminalizing underage prostitution is good public policy that will help victims of sex trafficking. Unfortunately, the reality is that the legalization of underage prostitution suffers from the fatal defect endemic to progressive-left policymaking: it ignores experience, common sense and most of all human nature – especially its darker side.

The unintended but predictable consequence of how the real villains – pimps and other traffickers in human misery – will respond to this new law isn’t difficult to foresee. Pimping and pandering will still be against the law whether it involves running adult women or young girls. But legalizing child prostitution will only incentivize the increased exploitation of underage girls. But legalizing child prostitution will only incentivize the increased exploitation of underage girls. Immunity from arrest means law enforcement can’t interfere with minors engaging in prostitution – which translates into bigger and better cash flow for the pimps…

Creator Of NSA’s Global Surveillance System Calls B.S. On Russian Hacking Report – Washington’s Blog
.

.
We’ve previously documented that the hacking evidence against Russia is extremely weak, and the new report on Russian hacking doesn’t say much.

Indeed – if Russia hacked the Democratic party emails (from the DNC and top Clinton aide John Podesta) – the NSA would have all of the records showing exactly who did it.

We asked Bill Binney what he thought of the new report.

Binney is the NSA executive who created the agency’s mass surveillance program for digital information, who served as the senior technical director within the agency, who managed six thousand NSA employees, the 36-year NSA veteran widely regarded as a “legend” within the agency and the NSA’s best-ever analyst and code-breaker, who mapped out the Soviet command-and-control structure before anyone else knew how, and so predicted Soviet invasions before they happened…

Illegal Alien Charged With Raping 13-Year-Old Girl Has Been Deported 10 Times – Gateway Pundit

Donald Trump has frequently criticized the “catch and release” policies our country has practiced for years as an ineffective practice which leads to more crime. This is a perfect, although horrific, example of what he meant.

ABC News reported:

Mexican Man Charged With Rape Had 19 Deportations, Removals

A Mexican man accused of raping a 13-year-old girl on a Greyhound bus that traveled through Kansas had been deported 10 times and voluntarily removed from the U.S. another nine times since 2003, records obtained by The Associated Press show.

Three U.S. Republican senators – including Kansas’ Jerry Moran and Pat Roberts – demanded this month that the Department of Homeland Security provide immigration records for 38-year-old Tomas Martinez-Maldonado, who is charged with a felony in the alleged Sept. 27 attack aboard a bus in Geary County. He is being held in the Geary County jail in Junction City, which is about 120 miles west of Kansas City.

U.S. Sen. Charles Grassley, from Iowa and chairman of the judiciary committee, co-signed a Dec. 9 letter with Moran and Roberts to Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson, calling it “an extremely disturbing case” and questioning how Martinez-Maldonado was able to re-enter and remain in the country.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement said it has placed a detainer – a request to turn Martinez-Maldonado over to ICE custody before he is released – with Geary County. ICE declined to discuss his specific case beyond its October statement regarding the 10 deportations…

Top 10 Establishment-Media Cover-Ups Of 2016 – WorldNetDaily
.

.
At the end of each year, many news organizations typically present their retrospective replays of what they consider to have been the top news stories of the previous 12 months.

WND’s editors, however, long have considered it more newsworthy to publicize the most underreported or unreported news events of the year.

WND Editor and CEO Joseph Farah has sponsored “Operation Spike” every year since 1988, and since founding WND in May 1997, has continued the annual tradition.

Here, with the contribution of WND readers, are the 2016 picks:

1. The contents of the Podesta emails:

The hacking of emails belonging to Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman, John Podesta, certainly drew attention, with President Obama punishing Russia for the alleged act this week, without any hard evidence…

Iran Got $1.4 Billion In Cash And Gold From Obama Regime Before Nuclear Deal Even Took Effect – Washington Examiner

Iran has received roughly $10 billion in shipments of cash and gold since 2013 thanks to the sanctions relief that was included in the nuclear deal struck last year.

Those payments included a previously-unreported payment of $1.4 billion that was shipped to Iran in the period between when the agreement was finalized and when it took effect, the Wall Street Journal reported Friday.

Critics have questioned the wisdom of giving Iran such enormous sums of liquid funds, arguing that Tehran, a state sponsor of terrorism and financial backer of Syrian President Bashar Assad’s regime, could easily funnel the money earned from sanctions relief into unsavory causes.

But the Obama administration has repeatedly defended the controversial elements of the nuclear deal it championed as necessary to the prevention of a nuclear Iran.

The agreement, finalized in July 2015, permitted Iran to collect more than $100 billion in financial relief from the sanctions imposed by the U.S. and others. Because the Middle Eastern nation is barred from accessing revenue from the sale of its oil through traditional banks, Iran has secured much of its $10 billion through currency or gold bars.

The complicated process occurs when the U.S. signs a waiver for countries where Iranian oil is sold that allows them to wire the profits to a second country in the Middle East, such as Oman. There, the oil money is converted into gold or hard cash.

The White House mandated that the currency shipped to Iran can never be U.S. dollars, the Journal reported…

‘It’s A Fallacy’: Cyber-Security Expert John McAfee Shuts Down ‘Manipulative’ FBI Claims Of Russian Hacking – Daily Express
.

.
He called the FBI’s claims of the Kremlin hacking the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman John Podesta a “fallacy”.

Speaking to host Larry King on RT America, he said any number of agencies could have been behind any interference.

“When the FBI or when any other agency says the Russians did it or the Chinese did something or the Iranians did something – that’s a fallacy,” said McAfee.

“Any hacker capable of breaking into something is extraordinarily capable of hiding their tracks. If I were the Chinese and I wanted to make it look like the Russians did it I would use Russian language within the code.

“I would use Russian techniques of breaking into organisations so there is simply no way to assign a source for any attack – this is a fallacy.”…

President Asshat Unleashes 3,853 Regulations, 18 For Every Law, Record 97,110 Pages Of Red Tape – Washington Examiner

President Obama’s lame duck administration poured on thousands more new regulations in 2016 at a rate of 18 for every new law passed, according to a Friday analysis of his team’s expansion of federal authority.

While Congress passed just 211 laws, Obama’s team issued an accompanying 3,852 new federal regulations, some costing billions of dollars.

The 2016 total was the highest annual number of regulations under Obama. Former President Bush issued more in the wake of 9/11.

The proof that it was an overwhelming year for rules and regulations is in the Federal Register, which ended the year Friday by printing a record-setting 97,110 pages, according to the analysis from the Competitive Enterprise Institute.

The annual “Unconstitutional Index” from Clyde Wayne Crews, CEI’s vice president for policy, said that it was much higher under Obama than under former President George W. Bush.

“The multiple did tend to be higher during Obama administration. Bush’s eight years averaged 20, while Obama’s almost-eight have averaged 29,” said his report, first provided to Secrets.

His index is meant to show that it is the federal bureaucracy, not Congress, that levies the most rules. “There’s no pattern to any of this, since the numerators and denominators can vary widely; there had been 114 laws in 2015, and a multiple of 39. The multiple can be higher with fewer laws, or with more regulations, holding the other constant. The point is that agencies do the bulk of lawmaking, no matter the party in power,” he wrote…

Five Afghan Teens Convicted Of Gang-Raping Boy In Sweden, Yet None Will Be Deported Because Their Homeland Is Deened ‘Too Dangerous’ – Daily Mail
.

.
Five Afghan teenagers have been convicted of gang-raping a boy in Sweden – but none of them will be deported because their homeland is ‘too dangerous’, it has emerged.

The victim, who is under 15, was filmed during the attack, which happened in woodland in Uppsala, south east Sweden.

He was beaten and dragged out to the forest at knife-point before being subjected to an ordeal lasting more than an hour, prosecutors say.

After a trial, the teenagers were found guilty of aggravated rape – but despite requests by prosecutors, they will not be expelled from Sweden because of their age and the dangers they would face in their homeland.

The court said that the boys would have been ‘hit very hard’ by deportation because of the security situation in Afghanistan…

Obama’s DOJ Refuses To Prosecute VA Employees Who Defrauded $400,000 And Still Have Jobs – American Thinker

The mainstream media have been ignoring a story of outrageous abuse by federal employees that has just been rubber-stamped by Loretta Lynch’s prosecutors at the D.C. U.S. attorney’s office. The first report was carried by the Houston Chronicle on Tuesday and picked up by the Washington Examiner yesterday. It is enough to make any taxpayer’s blood boil and has great potential as a news story. Yet for the moment, it exists in one Texas city and the conservative blogosphere only. Sarah Westwood reports for the Examiner:

A pair of Department of Veterans Affairs officials who defrauded the VA for $400,000 will not face any criminal charges, despite an inspector general’s request that they both face a criminal investigation.

In an inspector general report made public in September, Diana Rubens and Kimberly Graves were both accused of manipulating a VA program meant to ease the strain of moving agency employees between cities. The watchdog referred the matter to the Department of Justice for a criminal inquiry.

But prosecutors in the U.S. attorney’s office for the District of Columbia ruled against pursuing charges late last week, the Houston Chronicle reported Tuesday, effectively eliminating any possibility that the two officials will face consequences for their actions.

The VA declined to fire Rubens and Graves in November. Although the agency planned instead to demote the embattled officials, a paperwork mistake spared the two from even that minimal punishment…

Trump Officials: Obama Will Face Sweeping Investigations If He Continues Scorched Earth Policy On Way Out Door – True Pundit
.

.
Donald Trump just drew a line in the proverbial sand. And President Barack Obama better simmer down very quickly, or face brutal consequences.

Trump officials made it clear late Thursday that if Obama continues to scorch America’s already-fragile foreign policy on his way out of the White House door, he will face sweeping federal probes when Trump assumes the presidency and control of the nation’s law enforcement apparatus.

True Pundit spoke with well-placed sources who have accepted new positions with the Trump administration. They agreed Trump and key members of his transition team are increasingly frustrated by the recent actions of Obama who just this week picked unwarranted international fights with Israel and Russia.

“At this rate the feeling is Obama will have to face consequences for what he is doing right now,” the Trump insider said. “We can take a very close look at him, (Valerie) Jarrett, (John) Kerry and his inner circle to see what they have really been doing, especially in the Middle East. And where the billions (of U.S. dollars) went.”…

President Asshat Expels 35 Russian Diplomats – WorldNetDaily

President Obama made the extraordinary decision to expel 35 Russian diplomats in retaliation for what he claims were cyber hacking attempts by their government aimed at the U.S. presidential election, even though he has presented no evidence that it happened.

A senior U.S. official said on Thursday afternoon that the Russian diplomats have been given 72 hours to leave the United States.

The official also said the U.S. has closed two Russian compounds in New York and Maryland.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov promised to retaliate by expelling 35 American diplomats, saying “we cannot leave such acts unanswered. Reciprocity is part of diplomatic law.”

But Russian President Vladimir Putin shocked the world on Friday morning by essentially shrugging off the incident, issuing a statement that announced he will not respond in kind and will not expel any American diplomats.

The statement explained, “Although we have the right to retaliate, we will not resort to irresponsible ‘kitchen’ diplomacy but will plan our further steps to restore Russian-US relations based on the policies of the Trump Administration.”

The statement took aim at the Obama administration: “We regard the recent unfriendly steps taken by the outgoing US administration as provocative and aimed at further weakening the Russia-US relationship. This runs contrary to the fundamental interests of both the Russian and American people.”…

Milo Rockets To Number 2 Spot On Amazon Bestsellers List One Day After Announcing Book – Breitbart
.

.
MILO’s upcoming book DANGEROUS has jumped to the number one bestseller spot on Amazon, months before the book is even released.

The $250,000 book deal with publisher Simon & Schuster led to a Twitter storm yesterday that saw “Milo” become the number one trending topic on the site as leftists expressed their outrage over MILO’s success.

Figures such as comedienne Sarah Silverman, ThinkProgress editor Judd Legum, and various other left-wing commentariat condemned the deal, accusing Simon & Schuster of giving a platform to someone they don’t agree with, even falsely describing Milo as a “white nationalist.”

News of the deal even led the Chicago Review of Books to announce they would not be reviewing a single book published by Simon & Schuster in 2017, describing the deal as a “disgusting validation of hate.”…

Man Of The Year: Chief Trump Strategist Stephen K. Bannon – Front Page

Time magazine named Donald Trump “Person of the Year” for 2016, and we could have done the same. But this would have been to over-simplify a victory that millions of Americans believe has brought this nation back from the brink of destruction, and has done so against what seemed impossible odds. In the just completed election campaign, a vicious partisan press substituted character assassination for reporting and joined malicious Democrats in demonizing Trump and his supporters as racists, sexists, Islamophobes, xenophobes and religious bigots, while dismissing the candidate as “unfit to sit in the White House.”

From the outset Trump distinguished himself as a self-confident warrior who refused to be “politically correct.” Trump won the primaries and eventually the election because, unlike Republicans before him, he refused to be intimidated by leftist witch-hunters and their reputation-burning attacks.

But Trump’s very fearlessness, self-confidence and disregard for progressive bigotry – his indisputable strengths – came with a downside that threatened to undo him. Even as he responded to the defamation from whatever quarter it came, his campaign message was pushed into the background until it was in danger of being altogether lost. Questions began to be raised and not only by opponents. Could Trump be presidential? Could he stick to a winning message? Lackluster polling numbers sparked a panic among feckless Republicans who began demanding that Trump be replaced as the nominee. Even in the camp of the faithful, supporters began to wonder if their candidate was too thin-skinned and undisciplined to win, and – equally important – whether such a strong-willed individual could listen to a voice that was not his own…

President Asshat Seizes Area Near Bundy Ranch In Massive, Last-Minute Land Grab – Zero Hedge
.

.
With a stroke of the pen President Obama has unilaterally declared vast swaths of land in Utah and Nevada as two new national monuments, thus putting them under control of the federal government.

Startlingly, the area in Nevada includes the site of the infamous Bundy Ranch standoff as well as land very close to the Bundy Ranch itself. With this move Obama has possibly triggered another armed standoff while also heading off any moves set to be made by incoming president Donald Trump.

A “fact sheet” put out by the White House reads:

Today, President Obama will designate two new national monuments, protecting sacred sites, spectacular scenery, and important natural and cultural resources in the desert landscapes of southeastern Utah and southern Nevada…
