Ford To Scrap Mexico Plant, Invest In Michigan; CEO Cites Trump Policies – Fox News
.

.
Before he’s even taken office, President-elect Donald Trump has proven to be quite the job creator.

Ford Motor Company announced Tuesday it will cancel a $1.6 billion plant planned for Mexico and will instead invest $700 million in a Michigan assembly plant, directly tying the decision to “pro-growth policies” championed by President-elect Donald Trump.

Trump had previously been critical of Ford’s plans to build in Mexico. After the announcement, Trump tweeted a link to a story about the Ford decision and then added in a subsequent message: “Instead of driving jobs and wealth away, AMERICA will become the world’s great magnet for INNOVATION & JOB CREATION.”

“We’re doing this decision based on what’s right for our business,” Ford CEO Mark Fields told Neil Cavuto on Fox Business Network…

Megyn Kelly Leaving Fox News For NBC – Daily Caller

Megyn Kelly is leaving Fox News to take on a broad role at NBC News.

The Fox News star will host a daytime news show and anchor a Sunday night show, as well as regularly take part in breaking news and special event coverage at the network, the network announced in a statement Tuesday. The amount she was offered to move to NBC has not been disclosed.

Kelly was reportedly offered more than $20 million by Fox to stay on when her current contract expires, an offer other networks vying for her indicated they could not match. But she has hinted in recent interviews and in her new book, “Settle for More,” that she wouldn’t decide based on the highest bid; the broad role offered at NBC appears to have sweetened the deal.

One person briefed on Kelly’s discussions with NBC told The New York Times the network chairman, Andrew Lack, won her over by starting negotiations with an open-ended question about what she was seeking rather than immediately making some kind of offer. The resulting offer was tailored accordingly, offering for example, a daytime slot that would allow her to have dinner with her husband and see her kids off to school.

“Megyn is an exceptional journalist and news anchor, who has had an extraordinary career,” Lack said in the statement. “She’s demonstrated tremendous skill and poise, and we’re lucky to have her.”…

France Bans Parents From Spanking Their Kids – WNYW
.

.
France has banned spanking children. A new law went into effect at the start of the year.

The French Parliament approved the no spanking policy last month. It came after a European human rights body warned France that it wasn’t doing enough to prevent spanking and other kinds of corporal punishment of children.

In 2015, the Council of Europe said France was violating the European social charter because French law doesn’t prohibit parents and others from corporal punishment of children in a “sufficiently clear, binding and precise manner.”

While now illegal, the new law does not dictate what any punishment would be for violators.

The Global Initiative to End All Corporal Punishment of Children has worked to promote universal prohibition and elimination of corporal punishment. It says 51 countries now prohiti spanking, up from 16 a decade ago…

Priest Accused Of Organising Orgies In Rectory, Pimping Out 15 Women – The Independent

An Italian priest is being investigated for allegedly organising orgies in his rectory and pimping out up to 15 lovers.

Catholic Father Andrea Contin, a parish priest in the northern city of Padua in Veneto, is under police investigation on suspicion of living off immoral earnings and psychological violence.

A variety of sex toys and videos, purportedly showing orgies taking place on the San Lazzaro church premises, have been seized after complaints from three female parishioners.

The 48-year-old also allegedly concealed pornographic home videos in covers bearing the names of various popes.

He is accused of farming out some of his lovers to men on wife-swapping websites, according to The Times.

The priest also allegedly took his female friends for stays at a naturist and swingers resort in Cap d’Agde on the southern French coast.

Complaints were reportedly first made to the local bishop last summer but church authorities did not police, saying they had not yet completed their own investigation.

One 49-year-old church volunteer, who says she had an affair with Father Contin and had sex with him in the rectory, told Il Mattino di Padova: “There were a lot of women hovering around him. I didn’t understand that at first, only later.”

The same news website reported that Father Contin was on holiday in Croatia, where his family visit yearly…

China Building Floating Nuclear Power Plant In Disputed Waters – Daily Caller
.

.
China officially began building an offshore floating nuclear power plant the country plans to place in the disputed South China Sea.

This plant and others like it are intended to power isolated locations in the South China Sea, according to a statement by the state-controlled China General Nuclear Power Corp. Foreign affairs experts see these nuclear plants as a way for China to cement its territorial claims.

Chinese officials also say floating reactors will “power offshore oil and gas drilling, island development” and provide electricity for desalination plants, according to the China Daily, a state-run English language newspaper that is often used as a guide to government policy.

The state-run Global Times reported in April that the floating reactors “could provide reliable power for defensive weapons and airports and harbors on islands in the South China Sea.”…

Taxpayer-Funded £18 Million Tidal Energy Scheme Supposed To Power 600 Homes Stops Working After Just Three Months – Daily Mail

An £18million tidal energy scheme, which was supposed to power 600 homes, has stopped working after just three months.

The taxpayer-funded DeltaStream project in Pembrokeshire in Wales, was designed to use the flow of the ocean with a 39ft turbine installed on the seabed near Ramsey Island.

But the system developed a fault and stopped generating electricity just weeks after being turned on.

Its operator Tidal Energy Ltd has now gone into administration and is seeking a buyer.

The £18million ‘wet elephant’ received £8million funding of EU money and £500,000 from the Welsh Government.

The generator was fitted with a sonar radar to detect nearby wildlife including seals, porpoises and dolphins and would shut off if they came to close.

But the sonar developed an ‘intermittent fault’ in March 2016 – after being launched the previous December.

Development director Chris Williams of Tidal Energy Ltd said defended the massive cost of DeltaStream saying it was a ‘research’ project.

He said: ‘The project was a research and development project. It was never put in the water to generate massive amounts of electricity.

‘The purpose of the project was to provide the essential learning, new knowledge, know how and experience to progress the industry in Wales…

Trump Blasts Leftist Chicago Mayor For Record-Setting 762 Homicides And 4,331 Shooting Victims In 2016 –
.

.
Donald Trump used his Twitter bully pulpit on Monday to blast Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel for allowing his city’s murder and firearms shooting rates to spiral out of control.

2016 was one of the most violent years in Chicago history with the most homicides in two decades – more than New York and Los Angeles combined.

The nation’s third largest city also saw 1,100 more shooting incidents last year than it did in 2015, according to data released Sunday by the Chicago Police Department.

Emanuel, a former Barack Obama White House chief of staff, visited with Trump at his Trump Tower office on December 7.

The pair reportedly talked about the mayor’s concern that Trump would deport ‘dreamers,’ children brought to the U.S. illegally who have commit no crimes during their years-long unauthorized stays…

1,565 “Refugees” In U.S. Diagnosed With Active TB Since 2012, Three Times More Than Previously Reported – Breitbart

Between 2012 and 2015, 1,565 refugees were diagnosed with active tuberculosis (TB) in the United States, according to annual reports published by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).

The CDC data, which has been public but obscure until now, shows that the number of refugees diagnosed with active TB in recent years is more than three times greater than previously reported by any media outlet.

The number of refugees diagnosed with TB in the United States has increased every year since 2012, the first year the CDC began publishing data on foreign-born cases of the disease by category, when 358 were diagnosed. In 2013, 396 refugees were diagnosed with TB. The following year, 2014, 402 refugees were diagnosed with TB, and in 2015, the number of refugees diagnosed with TB rose again to 409. Data for 2016 has not yet been reported.

In October, Breitbart News reported that 476 cases of active TB among refugees have been reported in the fifteen states that made that data available. Thirty-five states did not make the data available, even though they had apparently reported it to the CDC:

At least eight cases of active TB were diagnosed among refugees upon their arrival in Minnesota in 2015, bringing the total number of cases of active TB among refugees in Minnesota over the past six years to at least 304. That also increases the number of active TB cases diagnosed among refugees over the past six years in the fifteen states in which Breitbart News has been able to obtain data to 476, broken down as follows…

DC Cops Demand Removal Of Capitol Painting Depicting Police Officers As Racist Pigs – Daily Caller
.

.
Capitol Hill Police blasted a painting that now hangs in the U.S. Capitol, which depicts police as pigs shooting up a black St. Louis neighborhood and want the piece removed immediately.

“The painting portrays a colorful landscape of symbolic characters representing social injustice, the tragic events in Ferguson and the lingering elements of inequality in modern American society,” Democratic Missouri Rep. Lacy Clay said in a statement last June of the painting created by David Pulphus and chosen by Rep. Clay as part of the annual U.S. Congressional Art Competition.

However, law enforcement in and around the Capitol are seething. In a statement to The Daily Caller. Andy Maybo, president of The Fraternal Order of Police District of Columbia Lodge #1 said, “This piece of art, which depicts officers as pigs, is both offensive and disgusting…

Over A Thousand Migrants Storm Border At Spain’s Ceuta, Injure 55 Officers – Breitbart

More than 1,000 migrants tried to jump a high double fence between Morocco and the Spanish enclave of Ceuta on Sunday in a violent assault that saw one officer lose an eye, local authorities said.

A group of 1,100 people from sub-Saharan Africa trying to reach Europe stormed the border fence just after 4 am (0300 GMT) on New Year’s Day in an “extremely violent and organised” way, said the central government’s representative office in Ceuta.

None however managed to get through, bar two who were badly injured and taken to hospital in Ceuta, the office said in a statement. A similar assault on December 9 saw more than 400 migrants enter the tiny enclave.

They tried “to force open some of the doors in the external fence, using iron bars, wire cutters and large stones with which they assaulted Moroccan forces and (Spanish) Guardia Civil (police) agents,” it added.

Five Spanish policemen and 50 members of the Moroccan forces were injured, including one who lost an eye, it said.

A Moroccan interior ministry statement said that of those members of the security forces who were hurt, 10 were in a serious condition.

Ceuta and Melilla, another Spanish territory in North Africa, have the European Union’s only land borders with Africa…

Leaked Audio Reveals Obama Intentionally Allowed Rise Of ISIS – Conservative Treehouse
.

.
There are moments within investigative research when your jaw can stand agape as you recognize the scope of what you are reading or hearing. A brutally down-played audio of Secretary John Kerry is just such an occasion.

♦ In August of 2014 President Obama (wearing a tan business suit) gave a press conference where he stated he “did not have a strategy” against ISIS.

♦ Two months later, in October of 2014, Josh Earnest gave a press conference where he stated: “Our ISIS strategy is dependent on something that does not yet exist”

However, on September 30th 2016 the New York Times quietly released a leaked audio recording of Secretary John Kerry meeting with multiple factions associated within Syria.

When you listen to the audio recording it becomes immediately obvious what was going on when both of those 2014 statements were made by the White House…

Judge Deals Obamacare Another Blow, Blocking Transgender And Abortion Protections – IJR

In what some may call yet another blow to the outgoing president’s legacy, just one day before the new policy was to take effect, a federal judge in Texas has blocked the “enforcement of an Obama administration policy seeking to extend anti-discrimination protections under the Affordable Care Act to transgender health and abortion-related services,” reports Reuters.

The injunction was granted due to U.S. District Judge Reed O’Connor’s belief that it was in violation of the Administrative Procedure Act.

He also ruled that it was an infringement “on the rights of private healthcare providers under the Religious Freedom Restoration Act,” writing that if enforced, the new regulation would:

“…require them to perform and provide insurance coverage for gender transitions and abortions, regardless of their contrary religious beliefs or medical judgment.”

According to The Blaze, this ruling comes on the heels of Judge O’Connor blocking a “federal directive” that forced public schools to allow students to use whatever restroom matched their gender identity.

The Transgender Legal Defense & Education Fund director of impact litigation, Ezra Young, was deeply troubled by the judge’s current ruling, stating:

“Judge O’Connor’s conclusion that transgender people and persons who have had abortions are somehow excepted from protection is deeply troubling, legally specious, and morally repugnant.”…

Stoned Sheep Go On New Year Rampage – Your News Wire

A flock of stoned sheep went on a “psychotic rampage” over the New Year after eating cannabis dumbed in a village in Wales.

According to locals from the Welsh village of Rhydypandy in Swansea, the sheep were spotted roaming around the streets and randomly breaking into people’s homes.

County councillor Ioan Richard told reporters that sheep were “getting in people’s gardens and one even entered a bungalow and left a mess in the bedroom”.

Trump Team Causes Tizzy With Personnel Inquiries To Obama Agencies – Fox News

Inquiries from Donald Trump’s transition team to federal agencies about their work on hot-button issues like climate change and ‘violent extremism’ – and about the staffers involved – have spurred questions over what the incoming administration has planned for those programs.

His team, in the roughly seven weeks since the election, has posed such questions to the departments of Energy, State and Homeland Security.

Critics of President-elect Trump have suggested the inquiries are a sign his administration intends to gut key programs and punish the staffers involved. Republican defenders, though, say these concerns are overblown.

“The Democrats are trying to talk about anything other than their own problems, and currently they include stoking faux outrage about President-elect Trump rolling back women’s rights and firing bureaucrats who don’t agree with his environmental policy,” Republican strategist Joe Desilets said Wednesday.

The inquiries began earlier this month when transition team members submitted 74 questions to the Energy Department regarding climate change and other policy issues, including two about staffers who worked on President Obama’s climate agenda.

Energy officials have pledged to cooperate with the incoming Republican administration but didn’t provide the staffers’ names. The transition team hastily struck the questions, but not before a storm of criticism…

How George Soros Destroyed The Democratic Party – Daniel Greenfield
.

.
It was the end of the big year with three zeroes. The first X-Men movie had broken box office records. You couldn’t set foot in a supermarket without listening to Brittney Spears caterwauling, “Oops, I Did It Again.” And Republicans and Democrats had total control of both chambers of legislatures in the same amount of states. That was the way it was back in the distant days of the year 2000.

In 2016, Republicans control both legislative chambers in 32 states. That’s up from 16 in 2000.

What happened to the big donkey? Among other things, the Democrats decided to sell their base and their soul to a very bad billionaire and they got a very bad deal for both.

It was 2004. The poncho was the hottest fashion trend, there were 5 million new cases of AIDS and a former Nazi collaborator had bought the Democrat Party using the spare change in his sofa cushions…

Muslim Migrant In Austria Stabs Woman For Reading Bible – Breitbart

An Afghan migrant attacked a woman at an asylum centre in Austria because she was reading a bible.

The attack took place in the town on Timelkam in the state of Upper Austria. The attacker was a 22-year-old migrant from Afghanistan who became annoyed that the 50-year-old woman had been invited by Christian residents to read the bible.

Austrian paper Kronen Zeitung says he ran into the kitchen where the woman was talking and attempted to stab her in her upper body. Her thick winter coat protected from serious harm, however she fell and injured her ear due the force of the blow.

Police arrived at the scene and arrested the migrant. He admitted he had overreacted, although he told police this was due to “personal problems”. He also stated that he had never seen the woman before the attack.

There have been numerous incidents of Christians coming under attack in migrant centres across Europe.

One charity said that over 700 Christians have been attacked in German asylums homes since May 2016, with the majority of perpetrators being Muslim.

Christian charity Open Doors said that 83 per cent of the cases reported included multiple assaults, while almost half of victims claim they have received death threats from fellow migrants. Another 44 said they had been sexually assaulted.

Over 90 per cent of the attackers were Muslim, and in 205 cases the attackers were not only Muslim but also guards at the centres…

Washington Post Runs Fake News Story About Russia Hacking U.S. Electrical Grid – The Intercept
.

The Washington Post on Friday reported a genuinely alarming event: Russian hackers have penetrated the U.S. power system through an electrical grid in Vermont. The Post headline conveyed the seriousness of the threat:

“Russian Hackers Penetrated U.S. Electricity Grid Through A Utility In Vermont, Officials Say”

The first sentence of the article directly linked this cyberattack to alleged Russian hacking of the email accounts of the DNC and John Podesta – what is now routinely referred to as “Russian hacking of our election” – by referencing the code name revealed on Wednesday by the Obama administration when it announced sanctions on Russian officials: “A code associated with the Russian hacking operation dubbed Grizzly Steppe by the Obama administration has been detected within the system of a Vermont utility, according to U.S. officials.”…

5 Blood-Boiling Cases Of Government Overreach – Zero Hedge

Every year the number of regulations, dictates, rules, decrees, guidelines, statutes, laws, and bylaws in the United States grows by leaps and bounds.

Now it seems we can’t go a week without hearing a new story about someone being punished, with fines or even jail time, for activities that would be encouraged in a free society. I’ve taken the liberty (pun intended) of compiling some of the more egregious examples of this trend for your reading pleasure (or displeasure).

1. Single mom faces possible jail time for selling $12 worth of ceviche to an undercover police officer.

Mariza Ruelas had her day in court in early November. Her crime? She sold a $12 plate of ceviche, an authentic Mexican dish, to an undercover cop on Facebook.

I know what you’re thinking: Why are police setting up stings to catch people selling food to willing customers over Facebook? Don’t they have actual crimes to investigate – like ones with actual victims? I wish I knew the answers to those questions.

2. Federal prosecutors threaten Aaron Swartz with a life-crushing sentence for downloading academic articles.

On January 11th 2013, Aaron Swartz ended his own life, concluding one of the biggest miscarriages of justice in contemporary history.

In the months leading up to his suicide, Swartz had been embroiled in a legal battle with the federal government after prosecutors charged Swartz under the draconian Computer Fraud and Abuse Act. His crime? Downloading thousands of academic articles from the JSTOR database…

Terrorist Dressed Like Santa Claus Murders Dozens In Turkish Nightclub – New York Daily News
.

.
At least 39 people were killed and dozens wounded when a gunman dressed as Santa Claus opened fire in a crowded Istanbul nightclub during a New Year’s Eve party, according to officials and reports.

As many as 600 people were partying at the packed Reina nightclub, celebrating the start of 2017, when the assailant began firing at police outside about 1:45 a.m., Turkish officials said.

The shooter then began randomly firing inside the building, which overlooks the banks of the Bosphorus Strait that divides the Turkish city.

Witnesses described a gunman spraying the crowds of panicked partygoers with bullets. Thumping music initially masked the mayhem.

People scrambled for cover – with some revelers reportedly jumping from the venue into the water to escape the carnage…

John Kerry’s Practiced Betrayal Of Friends – Wesley Pruden

John Kerry doesn’t come late to the betrayal of friends. He has had considerable practice.

In 1971, when he was a young lieutenant just back from Vietnam, where he was a decorated skipper of a Swift Boat patrolling the Mekong River, he appeared before the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee to pay his “respects” to the American soldiers, sailors and Marines he fought a war with.

Representing all those veterans, he told the senators, he wanted to talk about war crimes he said “were committed on a day-to-day basis with the full awareness of officers at all levels of command.”

Mr. Kerry proceeded to slander and defame hundreds of thousands of young Americans who were serving at their country’s call in a distant place where none wanted to be, doing their best at achieving the impossible.

Most of us who were there as observers and witnesses – I spent the better part of three years in Vietnam and Southeast Asia as a newspaper correspondent – saw ugly anger at work, the brutal way of war since Cain picked up a stone to slay his brother Abel. Occasional violence verged on atrocity, but we saw kindness and mercy in the midst of the noisy clangor of killing.

Mr. Kerry testified that he saw his country only at the work of atrocity, young men, many of them highly decorated, merciless in pursuit of barbarism. He told of swapping war stories with men who “personally raped, cut off ears, cut off heads, taped wires from portable telephones to human genitals and turned up the power, cut off limbs, blown up bodies, randomly shot at civilians, razed villages in fashion reminiscent of Genghis Khan, shot cattle and dogs for fun, poisoned food stocks, and generally ravaged the countryside of South Vietnam in addition to the ravage of war, and the normal and very particular ravaging which is done by the applied bombing power of this country.”…

The Mysterious Disappearance Of Former Clinton Foundation CEO Eric Braverman – Tom Fernandez
.

.
Eric Braverman, the Clinton Foundation CEO from 2013 until 2015, has apparently been missing since October. His absence has fueled speculations in the blogosphere but so far has been ignored by the media.

Some speculate, with good reason, that Braverman may have gone into hiding after an email mentioning his name was released by Wikileaks on October 22 of this year. In the March 2015 email exchange, Center for American Progress President Neera Tanden told Clinton campaign manager and confidant John Podesta there was a mole within the Clinton Foundation. Podesta in his reply told Tanden the mole was Braverman.

Braverman had abruptly resigned from the Clinton Foundation shortly before this email exchange took place. And then, after the email exchange was made public by Wikileaks, Braverman vanished from the public eye…
