Chicagoland: BLM Protesters Arrested For Conspiring To Help ISIS – American Mirror

Two suburban Chicago men and Black Lives Matter supporters were arrested by the FBI on Wednesday for conspiring to support ISIS after a 19-month investigation showed they plotted to send a recruit and cell phone detonators to the terrorist organization.

Federal officials arrested Edward Schimenti and Joseph Jones, both 35, around 5 a.m. Wednesday after an investigation that involved four federal agents and a fifth person cooperating with the bust.

According to the Chicago Sun Times:

The feds allegedly led Jones and Schimenti to believe they had gained access to an ISIS network designed to smuggle new recruits into Syria.

The men allegedly helped the cooperator obtain cellphones meant to be used as detonators, introduced him to an undercover fed they believed could get him overseas, and then drove the cooperator to O’Hare Airport to begin his journey on Friday. Once he left, the pair planned to deliver more cellphones via the cooperator’s “aunt,” records show…

Foreign reporters had earlier been warned to expect a ‘big and important’ event in the secretive state today – but it turned out to be a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the housing project.

Thousands of cheering North Koreans watched on as the dictator opened the sprawling Ryomyong Street development, which includes 5,000 flats.

The tallest of the buildings is 70 stories while North Korean Premier Pak Pong Ju insisted they ‘incorporate the latest architectural science and technology, including solar and geothermal technology, and the greening of roofs and walls’…

Muslim Rapists Who Livestreamed Attack On Facebook Will Not Be Deported From Sweden – Breitbart

Two asylum seekers who are on trial for raping a Swedish girl and streaming the ordeal live on Facebook will not face deportation back to their home countries.

The asylum seekers directly involved in the rape, aged 18 and 21, will not face deportation after the prosecution withdrew their previous claim. “The prosecutor has taken a wise decision. It is against the Aliens Act, which I pointed out here before,” said lawyer Stefan Wallin who is defending one of the men accused of the rape, 24 Uppsala reports.

Mr. Wallin, who represents the 21-year-old Afghan national, said he and his 18-year-old co-defendant arrived in Sweden when they were under the age of 15.

The third defendant in the case, a 25-year-old Iranian immigrant with Swedish citizenship, is also being tried as he is accused of filming the incident and not reporting it to the police. He also faces a charge of defamation as he broadcast the rape on Facebook. However, due to him holding Swedish citizenship, he cannot be deported…

Snowflakes At Notre Dame Feel “Unsafe” With Mike Pence As Commencement Speaker – Fox News

Vice President Mike Pence’s scheduled commencement speech at the University of Notre Dame has prompted a protest by senior students who say that Pence’s presence on campus will make them “feel unsafe.”

Students Immane Mondane and Jourdyhn Williams have started a #NotMyCommencementSpeaker campaign against Pence’s May 21 address.

The campaign consists of students holding white boards featuring quotes from Pence that are “racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, offensive, or ostracizing” to members of the Notre Dame community.

“For me personally, [Pence] represents the larger Trump administration,” Mondane told the university’s newspaper. “His administration represents something, and for many people on our campus, it makes them feel unsafe to have someone who openly is offensive but also demeaning of their humanity and of their life and of their identity.”…

Daily Mail Pays Melania Trump $2.9 Million To Settle Lawsuit Over Modeling Claims – Zero Hedge
.

.
Britain’s Daily Mail said Wednesday it agreed to pay First Lady Melania Trump $2.9 million in damages (according to the WSJ) and issue an apology after it published an article saying the U.S. First Lady had offered “services beyond simply modeling” when working as a model in the 1990s.

The Daily Mail and its Mail Online website said in a statement that it accepts the allegations it published in a 2016 article are “not true” and apologized for the distress the article caused.

Trump’s wife had sued the publisher of the Daily Mail in Britain and also filed a $150 million (120 million pound) lawsuit against it in New York, claiming the article had cost her millions of dollars in potential business…

China Buys More U.S. Coal, Sends North Korea Packing – Washington Examiner

China is banning shipments of coal from North Korea because of last week’s missile test and has made up the shortfall by importing more coal from the United States.

The news comes just days after President Trump met with Chinese President Xi Jinping at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, where the administration said North Korea’s missile tests would be a top priority in the talks.

Reuters first reported Tuesday that China’s customs department ordered all companies that receive imports from North Korea to immediately return all coal cargoes, according to three trading sources who saw the order. The order was sent by the Chinese government on April 7, soon after Trump and Xi concluded their discussions.

The decision will be a boon for U.S. coal producers as China has ramped up orders of U.S. coking coal used in making steel, Reuters reported. The increase in U.S. coal imports fits nicely with Trump’s pro-fossil fuel agenda to put miners in coal country back to work…

GOP House Candidate Ron Estes Wins Kansas Special Election – The Hill
.

.
Republican candidate Ron Estes is projected to win Kansas’s House seat, overcoming an unexpectedly tough challenge and denying Democrats a major upset – albeit by a much slimmer margin than his Republican predecessor.

Estes defeated civil rights attorney James Thompson (D) in Tuesday’s special election to fill the seat vacated by President Trump’s CIA director Mike Pompeo, with both the Associated Press and the New York Times calling the race.

With 94 percent of precincts reporting, Estes has 52 percent of the vote to Thompson’s 46 percent.

Estes, a two-term state treasurer, had been expected to cruise to the finish line in a district that Trump carried by nearly 30 points…

Freedom Caucus Chairman Revives Healthcare Negotiations, Is Confident GOP Will Pass Bill – Breitbart

House Freedom Caucus chairman Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC) tells Breitbart News exclusively that he expects House Republicans will unite around common principles and pass an Obamacare repeal and replace bill that lowers premiums for Americans soon – delivering President Donald Trump a major victory in the Congress’s lower chamber.

Meadows, a pro-Trump conservative leader in the House who stuck with the president throughout the entire campaign, is confident that renewed negotiations – with the help of senior White House officials – with House GOP leaders and House Republican moderates is likely to produce real results in the House.

Meadows told Breitbart News on Tuesday afternoon:

I’m optimistic that we’ve at least found some potential common ground. Conservative requests and those from those that represent districts that may have a more moderate constituency don’t want to suggest anything other than the discussions have been extremely good over the last 72 hours…

Trump: ‘We’re Not Going Into Syria’ – New York Post
.

.
Amid complaints that his aides are saying different things about Syria and his policy is confusing, President Trump emphatically cleared the air.

“We’re not going into Syria,” he told me yesterday in an exclusive interview. “Our policy is the same – it hasn’t changed. We’re not going into Syria.”

The president, speaking by phone Tuesday, called Syrian President Bashar al-Assad a “butcher” and a “barbarian” for using sarin gas on his own people, but said last week’s successful missile strike was not the start of a campaign to oust the dictator.

“Our big mission is getting rid of ISIS,” Trump said. “That’s where it’s always been. But when you see kids choking to death, you watch their lungs burning out, we had to hit him and hit him hard.”…

Russia Says It Won’t Try To Shoot Down U.S. Missiles If Trump Bombs Assad Regime Again – Daily Mail

Russia says it will not shoot down US missiles if Donald Trump orders another Syrian airstrike because they are ‘there to fight terrorism, not external threats’.

America unleashed a wave of 59 Tomahawk strikes on one of Bashar al-Assad’s airbases in the wake of a horrifying chemical attack on 87 Syrian civilians last week.

Russia – which has backed the Syrian dictator military – as well as Iran and its allies said the US had crossed a ‘red line’ and warned they ‘will respond to any aggression’ in the future.

But today the head of the Russian Federation Council’s Defense and Security Committee insisted Kremlin forces stationed in Syria will not try to intercept US missiles should Washington order further strikes.

Viktor Ozerov told the news agency Interfax: ‘Our armed forces are in Syria to fight terrorism – not to defend against external threats. That’s not our mandate, and we’re not going to intercept anything.’…

Putin Flinches, Agrees To Meet With Secretary Tillerson After All – Western Journalism
.

.
Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet with Secretary of State Rex Tillerson after all, a Russian television station reported, citing two sources close to Russia’s foreign ministry.

Putin’s decision Tuesday to meet with President Donald Trump’s top diplomat is a stark reversal from his position from just one day prior.

Putin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters Monday the Russian president had no intentions of meeting Tillerson during his stay in Moscow. “We have not announced any such meetings and right now there is no meeting with Tillerson in the president’s diary,” Peskov said.

Following Trump’s missile strike against Syria last week, Russia suspended a critical communications channel with the U.S. after condemning the action as a “clear act of aggression against a sovereign Syria.”…

Muslim Chechnya Opens First Concentration Camp For Gays Since Hitler – Jihad Watch

They’re not killing them outright: they must be moderates. The Qur’an contains numerous condemnations of homosexual activity:

“And [We had sent] Lot when he said to his people, ‘Do you commit such immorality as no one has preceded you with from among the worlds? Indeed, you approach men with desire, instead of women. Rather, you are a transgressing people.’ …And We rained upon them a rain [of stones]. Then see how was the end of the criminals.” (Qur’an 7:80-84)

Muhammad specifies the punishment for this in a hadith: “The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, ‘Whoever you find doing the action of the people of Loot, execute the one who does it and the one to whom it is done.’” (Sunan Abu Dawud 4462)

More on this story. “Chechnya opens world’s first concentration camp for homosexuals since Hitler’s in the 1930s where campaigners say gay men are being tortured with electric shocks and beaten to death,” by Thomas Burrows, MailOnline, April 10, 2017…

China Threatens To Bomb North Korea’s Nuclear Facilities If It Crosses Beijing’s “Bottom Line” – Zero Hedge
.

.
With everyone putting down new and/or revised “red lines”, be it on Syria or North Korea, it was now China’s turn to reveal its “red” or rather “bottom line”, and in a harshly worded editorial titled “The United States Must Not Choose a Wrong Direction to Break the DPRK Nuclear Deadlock on Wednesday” Beijing warned it would attack North Korea’s facilities producing nuclear bombs, effectively engaging in an act of war, if North Korea crosses China’s “bottom line.”

The editorial in the military-focused Global Times tabloid, owned and operated by the Communist Party’s People’s Daily newspaper, said that North Korea’s nuclear activities must not jeopardize northeastern China, and that if the North impacts China with its illicit nuclear tests through either “nuclear leakage or pollution”, then China will respond with force…

Reports Of 150,000 Chinese Troops Moving On The Korean Border Are ‘Pure Fiction’ – Daily Caller

There “is no evidence” at this time of any significant troop movements along the Chinese-North Korean border, despite reports suggesting otherwise, the Department of Defense told The Daily Caller News Foundation Monday.

Multiple media outlets are reporting that China has deployed 150,000 troops to the border for “unforeseen contingencies” believed to be the possibility of a U.S. pre-emptive strike on North Korea, such as the one President Donald Trump ordered on Syria last Thursday.

U.S. Pacific Command refused to comment on foreign troop movements; however, they did tell TheDCNF that the first they had heard of Chinese troop movements along the border was when a reporter called for comment.

China’s foreign ministry called such reports “pure fiction,” with Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokeswoman Hua Chunying saying, “I have no idea where these reports are coming from.”…
