ACLU Lawyer Tells Judge That Trump’s Travel Ban ‘Could Be Constitutional’ if Enacted By Hillary – NTK
.

.
ACLU Lawyer Omar Jadwat, arguing against President Trump’s travel ban before the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals on Monday, admitted that the same exact travel ban “could be” constitutional if it were enacted by Hillary Clinton.

Jadwat argued that Trump’s campaign animus motivated the order, making it illegitimate. This claim was challenged by the Fourth Circuit’s Judge Paul Niemeyer.

“If a different candidate had won the election and then issued this order, I gather you wouldn’t have any problem with that?” Niemeyer asked.

Jadwat dodged on directly answering the question at first, but Niemeyer persisted, asking the question again…

For The First Time, You Can Track Every Dollar The Government Spends – Zero Hedge

Despite paying trillions in Federal taxes every year, Americans’ requests for a clear, detailed breakdown of where their money goes every year, have gone unanswered and been ignored by both Republican and Democrat administrations for one simple reason: transparency has an unpleasant way of mutating into accountability, which is the scariest thing imaginable for any career politician.

Not any more.

On Tuesday, the US Treasury launched a new website designed to track virtually every dollar – out of roughly $4 trillion – in federal spending. The new website, Beta.USAspending.gov, was created to put data into the hands of taxpayers by empowering them to track how their tax dollars are spent. The site is designed to follow federal agency spending and, for the first time, links spending data to awards distributed by the government.

In the statement, the Treasury said that “the new site provides taxpayers with the ability to track nearly USD in government spending from Washington, DC directly into their communities and cities,” says Treasury Secretary Mnuchin…

Shut The Chuck Up – Scott McKay
.

.
No one should have been surprised, in the aftermath of President Donald Trump’s firing of FBI director James Comey, to see Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-New York) rush to a podium and grab a microphone. And no one should have been surprised to see Schumer express alarm and outrage over the firing of someone he said he’d “lost confidence in” back in November.

Schumer’s babblings and bleatings were little different than countless other Washington Democrats, many of whom changed tunes from directly blaming Comey for Hillary Clinton losing the presidency to screaming about Comey’s firing in the space of less than an hour. It was an unmitigatedly shameful performance, and to neutral or hostile observers it highlighted just how philosophically and intellectually lost the Democratic Party and the American Left have become…

Powerful Podesta Firm Withheld Key Details Of Russia, Trump Aide Links – Daily Caller

A powerhouse Washington lobbying firm linked to influential Democrats failed to disclose lucrative work it did for Ukrainian political figures closely tied to Russia and former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort, according to CNN.

“The firm, the Podesta Group, said nothing in a 2012 lobbying report to Congress about at least 32 meetings, emails and other communications it had with the State Department, at a time when Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was scrutinizing Ukraine’s upcoming election, records show,” CNN reported Tuesday.

“The new disclosures shed light on the web of contacts between Russian-leaning Ukrainians, Washington lobbyists and U.S. policymakers during the Obama administration. The Podesta Group filed new, detailed lobbying disclosures in April to augment lobbying reports from 2012 to 2014 that had given little detail,” CNN said.

The latest revelations about the Podesta firm add to those previously reported by The Daily Caller News Foundation’s (TheDCNF) Investigative Group…

Trump Finally Fires Corrupt FBI Director Comey – Reuters
.

.
President Donald Trump on Tuesday abruptly fired FBI Director James Comey in the fallout over Comey’s probe of Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s emails last year, saying Comey was no longer able to effectively lead the agency.

“It is essential that we find new leadership for the FBI that restores public trust and confidence in its vital law enforcement mission,” Trump said in a letter to Comey released by the White House. Trump told Comey in the letter he accepted the recommendation of Attorney General Jeff Sessions that “you are not able to effectively lead the bureau.”

Comey has been embroiled in controversy surrounding his probe into whether Clinton’s use of a private email server while U.S. secretary of state during President Barack Obama’s first term compromised national security…

Teaching Racism In K-12 Classrooms – Matthew Vadum

Teachers at Highlands Elementary, a school in Edina, Minnesota, are indoctrinating five-year-olds in order to radicalize them and encourage them to become activists obsessed with race.

Public school teachers across America already saturate students with information about racial injustice in America in a nonstop barrage of historic facts and ahistorical nonsense. And in the culture at large, the media, politicians, and the entertainment industry can’t stop talking about race. The last thing any young student in America needs is to be taught about is race. Race matters only to radicals.

Leftists believe you have to get ’em while they’re young and impressionable.

Marxist theorist Paolo Freire advocated in Pedagogy of the Oppressed, that schools be used to inculcate radical values in students so they become agents of social change. Freire held that the so-called dominant pedagogy “silences” poor and minority children and that there is no such thing as a neutral educational system…

Twin Bombings In Thailand Injure 58 – Business Standard
.

.
At least 58 people were injured on Tuesday in two successive explosions at a shopping mall in southern Thailand’s Pattani province, officials said.

The first bomb went off inside the Big C mall at 2.08 p.m. (local time), followed shortly by a second and more powerful one in the parking area, a Pattani provincial police official told EFE in a phone interview.

Photos inside the shopping mall, where the first explosion went off, showed lesser damage compared to the ones taken in the parking lot where a number of vehicles were destroyed by the second blast.

The second bomb was hidden in a car sporting a licence plate of the neighbouring Yala province…

Students Leave A Pineapple In A Museum, Everyone Mistakes It For Art- Heatstreet

A pineapple that was left in the middle of an art exhibition by two students at a Scottish university has now been “adopted” as a work of art.

Ruairi Gray, 22, and his friend Lloyd Jack, left the exotic fruit they had bought in a supermarket for £1 on a stand at the Look Again exhibition at Robert Gordon University (RGU) as a “joke.”

To their surprise, when the two friends later returned to the exhibition four days later, the pineapple had been covered by a glass case and put on show at the center of the display.

Gray, a business information technology student, told the MailOnline: “I saw an empty art display stand and decided to see how long it would stay there for or if people would believe it was art.

“I came in later and it had been put in a glass case – it’s the funniest thing that has happened all year. My honors supervisor saw it and asked an art lecturer if it was real because he could not believe it.”

It remains unclear who had the curatorial chutzpah to elevate this lonely fruit to the status of art piece…

New Tick-Borne Virus Far Deadlier Than Lyme Disease – WorldNetDaily
.

.
The Centers for Disease Control is warning of the emergence of a far deadlier tick-related virus than Lyme Disease – one that kills 10 percent of those infected and permanently disables the other 50 percent.

It’s called POW for short, or Powassan, and it, like Lyme, is carried by deer.

Recent cases have been noted in the Northeast U.S. and the Great Lakes states.

The virus can cause inflammation of the brain, leading to death in 10 percent of cases and permanent disability in 50 percent of cases.

Signs and symptoms of infection can include fever, headache, vomiting, weakness, confusion, seizures, and memory loss, according to the CDC. Long-term neurological problems may occur…

Leftist Insanity Update: College Asks Students To Contemplate ‘Pee Privilege’ – Campus Reform

The notorious Northern Arizona University now has signs outside of on-campus restrooms that ask students to consider whether they have “pee privilege.”

“Do you have pee privilege?” one sign questions, informing restroom-goers that if they “never have to think about gender identity, ability, or access when peeing,” then “[they] do.”

Another sign expands upon the definition of “pee privilege,” noting that the “ability to use a restroom without fear or concern for your own safety constitutes” such a privilege, explaining that other factors like the “gender binary,” or the “ability to undoubtedly know which bathroom to pick,” contribute to “pee privilege.”

Similar signage, pictures of which were obtained by Campus Reform, offers “a guide” for students on the “do’s and dont’s” of encountering a transgender person in a restroom.

“Feel like someone is in the ‘wrong’ restroom?” the flyer questions, deliberately placing “wrong” in scare quotes, and then advising students not to “question” someone who they think fits such a category…

Gay Mayor Of Seattle Drops Re-Election Bid Due To Multple Sexual Abuse Claims – KING
.

.
Seattle Mayor Ed Murray announced Tuesday that he will not run for re-election this year. He made the announcement to reporters and supporters during a press conference at Alki Beach Bathhouse.

Murray, once considered a strong favorite to win a second term, saw his political fortunes weakened after a Kent man filed a civil suit last month alleging Murray abused him sexually in the 1980s. At the time of the alleged abuse, the accuser was a minor.

“The scandal surrounding [the allegations] and me is hurting this city. It hurts those who have been victims of abuse. It hurts my family. It hurts Michael. For these reasons, I am announcing that I am withdrawing as a candidate for mayor,” Murray said…

University Of Mississippi Medical Center Discovers Thousands Of Unmarked Graves Of Insane Asylum Patients On Campus – Daily Mail

At least 7,000 bodies of former insane asylum patients could be unearthed on the University of Mississippi Medical Center campus, experts have reported.

UMMC officials first began to discover the scores of unmarked graves in 2013 during renovations at the school. That year, 66 coffins were found during construction for a road on the sprawling 164-acre campus.

In 2014, during work on a parking garage to the east of the dental school, roughly 3,000 more coffins were discovered through underground radar.

Estimates for the number of bodies have now reached as high as 7,000, and the coffins could be spread across 20 acres of the campus, The Clarion-Ledger reported on Saturday.

The reason behind UMMC’s mass network of forgotten graves dates back to 1855, when the state’s first mental institution was built in the very same spot that university buildings now stand…

Phoenix Serial Killer Suspect Arrested In Deaths Of 9 – Washington Times
.

.
A man was arrested Monday in a string of serial killings that terrified a Phoenix neighborhood last year, a huge break in a case that involved nine deaths and a dozen separate shootings.

Aaron Juan Saucedo, 23, faces 26 felony counts of homicide, aggravated assault and drive-by-shooting, said Phoenix Police Chief Jeri Williams.

Most of the killings by a gunman dubbed the Serial Street Shooter took place in a predominantly Latino neighborhood between August 2015 and July 2016.

The investigation into the serial killings had focused what authorities said were seven fatal shootings. But police on Monday said they had tied Saucedo to nine killings in all – eight random victims and one man that he knew…

Leftist Harvard University Brings Back Segregation – Right Wing News

Martin Luther King Jr. must be rolling over in his grave right about now. Being the progressive, leftist campus that Harvard is these days, they are now segregating their graduating ceremonies. Frankly, it should not be allowed, but it will be. It’s a disgrace and does a huge disservice to black students. It’s also divisive and racist in the extreme.

The segregation will include only graduate students this year, but there are plans to expand such racial separation next year to all university students, including undergrads. Next stop, high schools. If your kids were going to Harvard, would you stand for this? Would this be okay with you? It sure as heck isn’t okay with me.

Michael Huggins, a Harvard graduate student who helped orchestrate the separate ceremonies, told The Root that the segregation “is not about segregation. This is an opportunity to celebrate Harvard’s Black excellence and Black brilliance,” said Huggins. “It’s an event where we can see each other and our parents and family can see us as a collective, whole group. A community…

Massive Brawl Breaks Out At Florida Airport After Spirit Airlines Cancels Flights – Orlando Weekly
.

.
Chaos ensued at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport Monday night after frustrated passengers were told that nine flights with Spirit Airlines were canceled.

Cellphone footage shows customers clashing with Spirit Airline employees and deputies from the Broward Sheriff’s Office trying to maintain order. According to WVSN, several passengers were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.

“All of a sudden, one particular flight got canceled, and a mob ensued up here at the front counter, in front of everyone else who had been waiting in line,” a passenger told the station.

The flight cancellations were reportedly over a labor dispute between Spirit Airlines and Air Line Pilots Association International (ALPI). In a statement Spirit blames the pilots for the chaos…

United Airlines Traps Passengers On Grounded Plane In Miami Sun For 5 Hours, “No AC, Water, Food, Toilets” – Gateway Pundit

In an already hated industry, one airline continues to work it’s hardest to maintain it’s proud spot as *most* hated airline in America. United Airlines, the company known for beating up Asian surgeons and murdering prized pet rabbits, trapped a completely full cabin of passengers on a flight that had no lights, no air conditioning, no water, and no usable restrooms for five hours in Miami, Flordia this past Sunday.

The original boarding time was 1:06PM on Flight 1614, departing the Miami airport and headed to Newark, NJ. Once passengers arrived at the airport, they were told that there was going to be a 45-minute maintenance delay; annoying, but understandable.

When passengers boarded around 2:15, the doors shut and they were told there were mechanical failures but they would be taken care of in “15 minutes.”…

Apple Becomes First $800 Billion Company – Breitbart

Apple Inc. became the first company to cross the $800 billion market value threshold after a rise in stock price early in the week.

Considered the world’s most valuable company, Apple shares on the Nasdaq exchange rose in midday trading Monday to a high of $153.70 per share. Multiplied by 5.21 billion outstanding shares, the company’s value was briefly above $800 billion.

At the close of trading, Apple stood at $153.01 per share, or a market capitalization of $797.7 billion.

California State Assemply Passes Bill Lifting Ban On Communists In Government – Fox News

Being a communist would no longer be a fireable offense for California government employees under a bill passed Monday by the state Assembly.

Lawmakers narrowly approved the bill to repeal part of a law enacted during the Red Scare of the 1940s and ’50s when fear that communists were trying to infiltrate and overthrow the U.S. government was rampant. The bill now goes to the Senate.

It would eliminate part of the law that allows public employees to be fired for being a member of the Communist Party.

Employees could still be fired for being members of organizations they know advocate for overthrowing the government by force or violence.

The bill updates an outdated provision in state law, said Assemblyman Rob Bonta, the San Francisco Bay Area Democrat who authored the measure.

Some Assembly Republicans said the Cold War-era law should not be changed….

And So It Begins, Trump’s Great Climate Purge – James Delingpole

Finally the Trump administration is starting to get serious about taking on the Green Blob.

EPA administrator Scott Pruitt – perhaps stung by criticisms that he was turning into a squish – today reaffirmed, in an interview with CNBC, that he is not a believer in catastrophic man-made global warming.

“I think that measuring with precision human activity on the climate is something very challenging to do and there’s tremendous disagreement about the degree of impact. So no, I would not agree that it’s a primary contributor to the global warming that we see. But we don’t know that yet…”

This new boldness coincides with a purge of warmist scientific advisers at both the EPA and the Interior Department.

EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt has chosen to replace half of the members on one of its key scientific review boards, while Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke is “reviewing the charter and charge” of more than 200 advisory boards, committees, and other entities both within and outside of his department. EPA and Interior officials began informing outside advisers of the move on Friday, and notifications continued over the weekend…

Oklahoma Governor Signs Anti-Protest Law Imposing Huge Fines On “Conspirator” Organizations – The Intercept
.

.
A statute aimed at suppressing protests against oil and gas pipelines has been signed into law in Oklahoma, as a related bill advances through the state legislature. The two bills are part of a nationwide trend in anti-protest laws meant to significantly increase legal penalties for civil disobedience. The Oklahoma law signed this week is unique, however, in its broad targeting of groups “conspiring” with protesters accused of trespassing. It takes aim at environmental organizations Republicans have blamed for anti-pipeline protests that have become costly for local governments.

The statute Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin approved Wednesday was rushed into immediate effect under a provision that declared the situation “an emergency.” It will dramatically increase penalties against protesters who trespass on property containing a “critical infrastructure facility.”…

10 Shot, 2 Killed, At Memorial For Shooting Victim In Chicago – News Max

The Brighton Park neighborhood of Chicago suffered 10 people shot on Sunday during a memorial for a man killed by gunfire in the neighborhood earlier that day.

The attack on those attending the memorial happened about 5:20 p.m. and killed a 25-year-old man at the scene. A 29-year-old woman died of her wounds at a hospital, officials told the Chicago Tribune.

The memorial was for Daniel Cordova, who was killed by rifle fire from a nearby alleyway, said Chicago Police first deputy superintendent Kevin Navarro.

“This evening at approximately 5:15 p.m., we had another brazen act of gang violence on the streets of Chicago,” Navarro said at a news conference, per the Chicago Sun-Times. “The people shot were participating in a memorial for a subject that was murdered earlier in the day and during this memorial, two subjects came out of an alley east of the location on 46th Place and opened fire with rifles.”

Deputy Chief Kevin Ryan said officers connected with the gang and tactical teams searched late Sunday for suspects and witnesses, said the Tribune…

Head Of ISIS In Afghanistan Confirmed Killed In Special Forces Operation – Reuters

The head of Islamic State in Afghanistan, Abdul Hasib, was killed in an operation on April 27 conducted jointly by Afghan and U.S. Special Forces in the eastern province of Nangarhar, U.S. and Afghan officials said on Sunday.

Hasib, appointed last year after his predecessor Hafiz Saeed Khan died in a U.S. drone strike, is believed to have ordered a series of high profile attacks including one in March 8 on the main military hospital in Kabul, a statement said.

Last month, a Pentagon spokesman said Hasib had probably been killed during the raid by U.S. and Afghan special forces in Nangarhar during which two U.S. army Rangers were killed, but prior to Sunday’s announcement there had been no confirmation.

“This successful joint operation is another important step in our relentless campaign to defeat ISIS-K in 2017,” the top U.S. commander in Afghanistan, Gen. John Nicholson said in a statement from U.S. military headquarters in Kabul…
