Lawsuit Exposes What Obama Used DOJ Slush Fund Money For – I Have The Truth

Well well well… there is a big ‘ol lawsuit now seeking to RIP the corruption cover RIGHT OFF an Obama administration policy that made it so that money was funneled to left-wing groups. Which is totally something that sounds like it’s straight out of the movies!

“Judicial Watch announced today that it has filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Justice for records relating to an Obama administration policy of settling agency lawsuits against corporate defendants by requiring that the corporations make ‘donations’ to left-wing interest groups La Raza, the Urban League and the National Community Reinvestment Coalition,” the group said in a statement.

So what was happening?

Apparently, when the DOJ accepted settlements in cases with corporations, Obama and his administration was making certain that the corporations make donations to left-wing groups as a part of the actual case…

Trump Gives Pentagon Unilateral Authority To Set Troop Levels In Afghanistan – Zero Hedge
.

.
President Donald Trump has has given the Pentagon unilateral authority to set troop levels in Afghanistan, the WSJ and Reuters reported overnight, clearing the way for the military to intensify its fight against the Taliban and opening the door for future troop increases requested by Defense Secretary Jim Mattis. While no immediate decision had been made about the troop levels, which are now set at about 8,400, the Pentagon is currently weighing plans to send between 3,000 and 5,000 additional troops.

The news comes after Mattis said in testimony to the Senate Armed Services Committee that “We are not winning in Afghanistan right now. And we will correct this as soon as possible.” Mattis said the Taliban were “surging” at the moment, something he said he intended to address…

After A Nearly 14-Year Ban, U.S. Beef Set To Re-Enter Chinese Market – Independent Journal Review

After being banned for more than a decade, U.S. ranchers and cattle producers are expecting to bring American beef back to the dinner tables of nearly 1.4 billion Chinese people.

The breakthrough is one of the first results of the U.S.-China 100-Day Action Plan – a bilateral agreement following President Trump’s meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping at the Mar-a-Lago Club in April.

The plan requests China “to allow imports of U.S. beef on conditions consistent with international food safety and animal health standards.” The shipments have to begin no later than July 16, 2017.

Since the agreement, the U.S. Department of Agriculture has been working with its Chinese counterpart on finalizing details of a protocol to make sure the shipments are meeting those standards. Two of its affiliating agencies – The USDA Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) and the USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) – have already posted the related instructions for potential participants to follow…

Trump Slaps Down Food Nazis – Mad World News
.

.
If you thought Michelle Obama was livid over her rejected school lunch program before, she will be downright furious now. President Donald Trump just crushed her healthy food legacy in an epic move to completely erase all traces of Michelle’s horrible healthy foods program that had tentacles everywhere in American society. Trump made sure she got a nasty surprise that is pissing her off. You don’t want to miss this.

Poor Michelle Obama, her pet project, telling all Americans how to eat, is over. President Trump has ordered the Food and Drug Administration to hold off indefinitely on Michelle’s changes to all labels on foods and on menus in restaurants. It was due to take effect in 2018, but now it’s all been scrapped and thrown in the dustbin…

Rolling Stone To Pay Fraternity $1.65M To Settle Lawsuit Over Fake Rape Story – Law Newz

Rolling Stone magazine agreed to pay $1.65 million to settle a defamation lawsuit filed by a University of Virginia fraternity over a debunked story about a rape on campus, the fraternity said Tuesday.

The settlement closes the final chapter of a lengthy legal saga sparked by the 2014 story “A Rape on Campus,” which was retracted after a police investigation found no evidence to back up the harrowing account of the woman identified in the story only as “Jackie.”

The Virginia Alpha Chapter of the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity, which had sought $25 million, said in a statement that its members are glad to be able to put the “ordeal” behind them.

“It has been nearly three years since we, and the entire University of Virginia community, were shocked by the now infamous article, and we are pleased to be able to close the book on that trying ordeal and its aftermath,” the fraternity said.

Rolling Stone declined to comment…

Oxford Rewrites History Exam To Make It Easier For Women To Get Top Grades – Heatstreet
.

.
Oxford University has completely redesigned one of its core history exams with the explicit aim of giving more top grades to women.

Academics at the university – often ranked top in the world for history – will now allow students to do one exam at home, rather than in an exam hall.

The move – immediately attacked as a “soft” alternative – was made because authorities felt female students were getting too few first-class degrees.

According to the Sunday Times, the change was made in response to a “gender grade gap” which sees 32% of female historians bag a First class degree, compared to 37% of men.

As such, a second-year exam which previously would have been sat under strict conditions will now be much looser in form….

American Medical Association Adopts Insane “Transgender” Policies – Washington Free Beacon

The country’s largest organization of doctors is adopting a series of transgender policies, with the goal of expanding how “gender identity is defined within medicine.”

The American Medical Association, a professional organization of over 200,000 doctors, is holding its annual meeting this week at the Hyatt Regency in Chicago.

The House of Delegates, which sets policy for the association, announced changes dealing with transgender issues on Monday, including a policy stating that gender is “incompletely understood.”

“Acknowledging that individuals’ gender and sexual identities do not always fit neatly into binary paradigms, delegates to the 2017 AMA Annual Meeting in Chicago took several actions that support broadening how gender identity is defined within medicine and how transgender patients are treated by society,” the association said.

The group said the new policies are focused on transgender individuals and the “many others who do not identify with one particular gender.”…

Houston Resorts To Selling Off City Streets To Try And Close $100 Million Budget Shortfall – Zero Hedge
.

.
With the US shale industry producing at near-record levels as oil prices languish around $50 a barrel, cities in oil-dependent states like Texas are resorting to increasingly creative means to compensate for the shortfall left by falling energy revenues, including selling off public assets, like Houston just did.

The city held what the Houston Chronicle described as “a yard sale of sorts” last week when the city council approved selling or swapping almost $2 million worth of city streets and utilities easements in a deal that will help close what’s expected to be a $100 million budget shortfall over the next five years.

Specifically, the council abandoned or sold several streets and easements on the east side of the city. The land is adjacent to an oil refinery owned by Valero Energy. The oil giant already owns the blocks immediately surrounding its facility, and the move will let the company assume the intersecting streets onto its land as part of a plan to build an office building,..

No Apologies: ICE Chief Says Illegal Aliens Should Live In Fear Of Deportation – Washington Times

Illegal immigrants should be living in fear of being deported, the chief of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement said Tuesday, pushing back against a growing sentiment among Democrats on Capitol Hill and activists across the country who have complained about agents enforcing the laws on the books.

Thomas D. Homan, acting director at ICE, said anyone in the country without authorization can be arrested and those who have been ordered deported by judges must be removed if laws are to have meaning.

His comments marked a major shift for an agency that President Obama forbade from enforcing the law when it came to more than 9 million of the country’s estimated 11 million illegal immigrants. Unshackled from Mr. Obama’s strictures, agents have dramatically increased the number of arrests.

Advocacy groups are enraged and demand leniency for “traumatized” immigrants.

Mr. Homan makes no apologies…

Ed Gillespie Barely Hangs On To Win GOP Governor Nomination In Virginia – Washington Examiner
.

.
Ed Gillespie barely hung on in his bid for the Republican nomination for Virginia governor, defeating Corey Stewart by less than 1 percentage point.

Gillespie was leading Stewart 43.53 percent to 42.86 percent with more than 94 percent of precints reporting. State Sen. Frank Wagner was in third with 13.61 percent of the vote.

Gillespie, the establishment favorite who was better funded and better organized, was expected to cruise to victory over Stewart, Prince William County Council chairman. Instead, Gillespie, the 2014 GOP Senate nominee who nearly pulled off a shocker of his own in that race, spent Tuesday evening sweating as his small but consistent lead dwindled as the votes came in. At one point, Gillespie led by less than 1,000 votes…

Macron Is About To Effectively Put France In A Permanent State Of Emergency – Daily Caller

French President Emmanuel Macron wants to end France’s 19-month state of emergency by effectively turning it into a permanent reality.

France has been in a state of emergency since the Nov. 13, 2015 terror attack in Paris, which killed 130 people. Lawyers and activists now warn that a proposed bill would essentially make all the state of emergency measures law of the land.

Macron’s bill would turn warrantless property searches and house arrests into common police practice. Banning protest marches, shutting down places of worship suspected of sharing extremist views and electronic tagging for surveillance purposes are other powers police would be granted under the proposed law.

“They tell us we’re ending the state of emergency, but they are actually making it eternal. It’s an intellectual scam,” Marie-Jane Ody, vice president of a union representing judges, told French newspaper Le Figaro in a June 8 article…

Six Dead As Blaze ‘Sparked By Faulty Fridge’ Engulfs 27-Storey London Tower Block – Daily Mail
.

.
Six people have been confirmed dead today after an inferno believed to have started when a fridge exploded ripped through a 27-storey west London tower block in just 15 minutes.

Scotland Yard says it expects the death toll to rise amid claims dozens including children and the elderly are still missing after fire engulfed Grenfell Tower in White City at 1am today.

Residents were seen throwing themselves and their children out of windows to avoid being burned to death – others made makeshift ropes by tying sheets together.

But a baby tossed from the ‘ninth or 10th floor’ of the building housing 600 people was caught by a member of the public and survived with only broken bones and bruises, a witness has said…

President Trump Should Bypass Courts On The Travel Ban – Daniel Greenfield

Forget all the nervous gasps.

When President Trump tweeted that his measure to protect Americans from Islamic terror was a “travel ban” and that it should never have been watered down, he was right.

Calling it a pause hasn’t appeased a single of the radical judges abusing their authority. It doesn’t matter what the lawyers call it, when courts insist on referencing President Trump’s campaign rhetoric instead. Watering down the ban achieved nothing. The judicial coup can’t be appeased with a “moderate” ban.

Stripping Iraq from the list of countries undermined the effectiveness of the measure considering that the vast majority of refugees being investigated for terror links in this country are Iraqis.

Most of the rest are from the other countries listed on the travel ban.

And the failure to protect Middle Eastern Christians by prioritizing them as refugees is a left-wing war crime. The lawyers, activists, media bosses and judges responsible for it have blood on their hands…

Hungarian PM: EU ‘Openly On The Side Of Terrorists’ – PoliZette
.

.
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbلn lashed out at the European Union on Monday, just one day before the supranational bloc is set to begin legal proceedings against his country for noncompliance with its migrant resettlement scheme.

“Brussels is openly on the side of terrorists,” said Orbلn while addressing parliament on Monday afternoon. Orbلn’s comments, some of his harshest yet for EU officials in Brussels, referred to criticism of Hungary’s detention of a migrant, Ahmed H., under terror charges for illegally attempting to cross the Hungarian border.

“As long as I am the Prime Minister of Hungary and stand here, so will the border fence stand on the southern border,” Orbلn declared defiantly…

Fake News Update: Useless Senators Ask Jeff Sessions The Same Question About Russians 12 Times – Breitbart

Despite the fact that Attorney General Jeff Sessions repeatedly outlined the conversations he said he had with Russian diplomats during the course of the 2016 presidential campaign, Senators at Tuesday’s Senate Intelligence Committee repeatedly peppered Sessions with various forms of the same question – whether he had met with Russian officials during the course of the campaign.

It was not clear whether those inquiring senators – mostly Democrats and some Republicans – expected a different answer to the same question. Sessions previously acknowledged that he met twice with Russian Ambassador Sergei Kislyak in his capacity as a senator and chairman of the Senate’s Subcommittee on Strategic Forces.

In his opening remarks, Sessions stated unequivocally that he had never had any conversations with Russian officials about interference in the 2016 presidential campaign. Sessions declared: “Let me state this clearly: I have never met with or had any conversations with Russians or any foreign officials concerning any interference with any campaign or election…

Dem Followers Of Communist Bernie Sanders Aim To Found New Party By 2018 Elections – Fox News
.

.
The seemingly fractured Democratic Party may face another setback ahead of the 2018 elections, Peter Doocy reported.

Supporters of progressive Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) said they want to start their own party.

The organizers said they want to focus on the future after their current party’s last presidential nominee, Hillary Clinton, seemed to focus on the past.

Sanders called for “fundamental change” during a speech in Illinois over the weekend.

Doocy said a document calling for the organization of a “People’s Party” began circulating recently.

The 15-page document laid out a late-summer goal for organizing the new party and holding a founding convention…

3 Members Of Mueller’s Team Have Donated To Democrats – The Hill

Three members of special counsel Robert Mueller’s team on the Russia probe have donated to Democratic presidential campaigns and organizations, according to Federal Election Commission filings.

Jeannie Rhee, a member of Mueller’s team, donated $5,400 to Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign PAC Hillary for America.

Andrew Weissmann, who serves in a top post within the Justice Department’s fraud practice, is the most senior lawyer on the special counsel team, Bloomberg reported. He served as the FBI’s general counsel and the assistant director to Mueller when the special counsel was FBI director.

Before he worked at the FBI or Justice Department, Weissman worked at the law firm Jenner & Block LLP, during which he donated six times to political action committees for Obama in 2008 for a total of $4,700…

Two Million Americans Drop Out of Obamacare Since Signing Up In January – Breitbart
.

.
Two million Americans withdrew from Obamacare insurance plans since signing up on a federal exchange in January.

On Monday, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) published two reports detailing that nearly two million Americans had not paid their insurance premiums to maintain health insurance coverage.

The Effectuated Enrollment Report explains that 12.2 million Americans selected an Obamacare plan at the end of the open enrollment period. However, only 10.3 million decided to pay the required premiums to maintain health insurance coverage as of March 15th.

CMS Administrator Seema Verma explained, “Consumers are sending a clear message that cost and affordability are major factors in their decision to cancel or terminate coverage.”…

The Collapse Of Penn Station: Another Failure Of Government “Enterprise” – Gregory Bresiger

Amtrak’s Penn Station in New York City, once one of the most glorious cathedrals of commerce built by one of the most successful transportation companies in history, is collapsing. Tracks are in disrepair. That’s because they have not been properly maintained over decades since Amtrak, despite promises to the contrary at its founding in the 1970s, has consistently lost tons of money.

After Decades of Government Disaster, Isn’t it Time for Something New?

Trains are jumping the tracks at Penn Station. Trains for the national passenger railroad – the disastrous, deficit ridden Amtrak with its pathetic so-called high-speed Acela trains, which are anything but high speed in many places – have been delayed as have the commuter railroads also using Penn Station, New Jersey Transit, and the Long Island Railroad. The latter, in true government enterprise fashion, both lose tons of money. They seem to be run for the benefit of anyone but the long-suffering passengers and taxpayers who pay for this government engineered mess…

Obama Program Made $729 Million In Erroneous Payments To Doctors – Washington Free Beacon
.

.
An Obama administration program to encourage the use of electronic health records made over $729 million in erroneous payments, according to a new audit.

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services also paid dead doctors for enrolling in its program, the audit, released by the agency’s inspector general Monday, revealed.

“From May 2011 through June 2014, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services paid an estimated $729 million in Medicare electronic health record incentive payments to eligible professionals who did not comply with Federal requirements,” the inspector general said. “In addition, it paid $2.3 million in inappropriate electronic health record incentive payments to eligible professionals who switched incentive programs.”…
