Judge Declares Mistrial In Cosby Sexual Assault Case After Jury Deadlocks – Variety

More than two years after his spectacular fall from grace amid dozens of sexual assault accusations, the case that accused Bill Cosby of drugging and molesting a woman at his home outside Philadelphia in early 2004 was ruled a mistrial by the judge on Saturday morning.

The jury could not come to a decision regarding alleged victim Andrea Constand, who was then manager of the women’s basketball team at Temple University – where Cosby was a major booster and member of the board of trustees.

Judge Steven O’Neill said on Saturday morning that the note from jury “indicates that we the jury are deadlocked on all counts.” Cosby, 79, looked subdued as the judge made the announcement after almost of week of deliberations in suburban Philadelphia. He remained seated in his courtroom chair and looked down for a bit and said nothing as he emerged from the courtroom.

Minutes after the mistrial was announced, the Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele announced they will retry the case…

Patriots Disrupt Left-Wing Terrorists’ Play; Yell “Goebbels Would Be Proud” – Heatstreet
.

.
Right-wing activists Jack Posobiec and Laura Loomer disrupted a Friday night showing of the controversial Shakespeare in the Park rendition of “Julius Caesar” as an act of protest against the assassination scene where a President Donald Trump lookalike is stabbed by his senate cohorts.

A video was tweeted out by Posobiec at 9:13 PM showing Loomer rushing the stage and yelling that the scene was an “act of political violence against the right.” She proceeded to scream it was “unacceptable” before a woman over a megaphone announced that the play was paused.

The crowd began booing as she was escorted off the premises by security. As Loomer is taken away, Posobiec stands up and accuses audience members of being like Joseph Goebbels, the infamous Nazi propaganda minister…

Canadians Could Face Hate Crime Charges For Using Politically Incorrect Gender Pronouns – Daily Caller

Canada passed a law Thursday making it illegal to use the wrong gender pronouns. Critics say that Canadians who do not subscribe to progressive gender theory could be accused of hate crimes, jailed, fined, and made to take anti-bias training.

Canada’s Senate passed Bill C-16, which puts “gender identity” and “gender expression” into both the country’s Human Rights Code, as well as the hate crime category of its Criminal Code by a vote of 67-11, according to LifeSiteNews. The bill now only needs royal assent from the House of Commons to pass into law.

“Great news,” announced Justin Trudeau, Canada’s prime minister. “Bill C-16 has passed the Senate – making it illegal to discriminate based on gender identity or expression. #LoveisLove.”

“Proud that Bill C-16 has passed in the Senate,” said Jody Wilson-Raybould, the country’s attorney general and minister of justice. “All Canadians should feel #FreeToBeMe.”…

Democratic Unionist Party To Spurn Tory Remainers And Back Full Brexit – Breitbart

Ulster’s Democratic Unionist Party, which is expected to prop up Theresa May’s minority government over the coming months, has spurned Tory Remainers who hoped they would force the Prime Minister to ask the EU for a so-called ‘Soft Brexit’.

According to ITV’s Robert Peston, a source within the DUP “was very keen to be quoted” as saying that his party “completely backs [May’s] vision of Brexit” – and not that of her Chancellor of the Exchequer, Philip Hammond.

While both May and Hammond campaigned for a Remain vote during the EU referendum, the Prime Minister has subsequently endorsed what supporters call a “Clean Brexit“, taking Britain out of the bloc’s Single Market and its associated Free Movement regime, as well as the Customs Union which precludes member-states from conducting an independent trade policy.

Remain diehards, who want a ‘Soft Brexit’ in which Britain would remain party to the Single Market and Customs Union in order to maintain the closest possible links to the European Union, term this a “Hard” or “Extreme” Brexit…

.

.
A Philippine politician claims that residents fleeing Marawi City have seen at least 100 bodies “scattered” in the streets following weeks of intense fighting between militants linked to the Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) and government forces.

Recounting the testimony of people who recently escaped the besieged city, Zia Alonto Adiong, the Governor of the province Lanao del Sur, said scores of bodies are in an area which saw heavy gunfire.

“Dead bodies, at least 100, scattered around the encounter area,” Adiong told reporters, according to Reuters. The army previously said that 290 people have been killed, including 206 militants, 58 soldiers and 26 civilians…

Fake News Update: CNN Says Only Democrats Prayed For Wounded Scalise – Newsbusters

Talk about fake news. At Thursday’s congressional baseball game, there were a number of touching tributes to the victims and the heroes. This included a prayer for the still-critically injured Congressman Steve Scalise. Yet, CNN’s Twitter page told viewers that only Democrats were involved in the prayer.

In a now-deleted tweet, the CNNPolitics page tweeted, “Members of a Democratic team gather on the field for a prayer before the congressional baseball game.”

CBS This Morning’s Gayle King on Friday reported the news and got the story right: “Before the game, players from both teams gathered at second base for a prayer in honor of Congressman Scalise. That’s the position he played.”

CNN eventually offered a corrected tweet.

The cable network’s tweets have been a source of bad information this week. On Thursday, reporter Jim Acosta tweeted that Donald Trump did not visit the wounded Scalise when he traveled to Washington MedStar Hospital. Except, the President DID see the Congressman…

Trauma Doctor Gives Update On Steve Scalise’s Condition – KELO
.

.
Doctors say Rep. Steve Scalise remains in critical condition at a Washington hospital but is improving.

Scalise was shot Wednesday morning as a gunman sprayed bullets into a GOP congressional baseball practice. The bullet entered his left hip and tore through his pelvis, breaking bones, injuring organs and causing severe bleeding.

Dr. Jack Sava, trauma director at MedStar Washington Hospital Center, says several operations have controlled the bleeding and Scalise’s vital signs have stabilized. While he’s still under sedation, Sava says Scalise has responded to family members. But he will remain in the hospital for “a considerable period of time” and faces additional operations…

Impeach Trump’s Impeachers – Daniel Greenfield

The rush to impeach President Trump is on by an opposition party that lacks the votes, evidence or legal basis for such a move. But since when did an illegal left-wing coup need any of those things?

No Dem has been more honest about the real motive for impeachment than Congressman Ted Lieu.

“We should not give him a chance to govern,” Lieu had declared after Trump had been in office for ten days. And he predicted that, “I do believe that if we win back the House of Representatives, impeachment proceedings will be started.”

What was the basis for impeaching President Trump after ten days in office? Lieu made it clear that if the Democrats won, they would try to impeach Trump no matter what.

That’s not how things work in the United States. But the left is running America like a banana republic.

More recently Lieu had mused that, “A recent poll came out saying that 46 percent of Americans want the president impeached, and certainly members of Congress take notice.”…

Trump Dismantles Obama’s Cuba Policy – New York Post
.

.
President Trump on Friday announced his tough new policy on Cuba – and demanded that the Communist country return the American fugitives it harbors, including cop killer Joanne Chesimard.

“Return the fugitives from American justice including the return of the cop-killer Joanne Chesimard,” Trump thundered to applause and shouts of “Viva Trump.”

“To the Castro regime, I repeat, the harboring of criminals and fugitives will end. You have no choice. It will end,” he said at an event in Miami’s Little Havana.

Chisimard, a Queens-born black activist who changed her name to Assata Shakur, was a Black Liberation Army member who was convicted of killing a police officer in 1977.

She escaped from prison with the help of other BLA terrorists and fled to Cuba in 1984, where the Castro regime granted her political asylum…

Escaped Georgia Convicts Captured By Armed Citizen – WCTV

Officials say the two escaped inmates wanted in the slayings of two Georgia correctional officers were captured in Tennessee after a homeowner held the inmates at gunpoint until authorities could arrive.

Tennessee Highway Patrol spokesman Lt. Bill Miller said the homeowner caught Donnie Rowe and Ricky Dubose trying to steal his vehicle. Miller says the homeowner held the two at gunpoint with a neighbor until the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Department could arrive to arrest them.

Miller says the escaped Georgia inmates had crashed a car earlier that day while being chased by law enforcement, and fled on foot into the woods along Interstate 24 near the rural community of Christiana.

Georgia Bureau of Investigation spokeswoman Nelly Miles says police in Shelbyville, Tennessee, got a call about a home invasion Thursday. She says Rowe and Dubose held an elderly couple captive and then fled in the couple’s vehicle…

Poll: 7% Of Adults Believe Chocolate Milk Comes From Brown Cows – American Mirror
.

.
A real survey conducted by the Innovation Center for U.S. Dairy finds a startling amount of U.S. adults believe chocolate milk comes brown brown cows. The poll of 1,000 adults aged 18 and older taken in April finds 7% of respondents “still think that chocolate milk only comes from brown cows,” Food & Wine reports.

Perhaps more jolting: 48% of respondents “said that they aren’t sure where chocolate milk comes from.”

Mlive provides more less surprising stats from the poll:

* 9 in 10 people say they consume dairy at least once per week.
* 42 percent of all milk consumption comes during the most important meal of the day – breakfast.
* 95 percent have at least one variation of cheese in their refrigerators right now…

Trump Administration Rescinds DAPA Amnesty Program – Daily Caller

The Trump administration has fulfilled another one of Donald Trump’s campaign promises by rescinding the Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents (DAPA) program implemented under Barack Obama that could have allowed as many as five million illegal aliens with children who are citizens or lawful permanent residents to remain in the country if they met certain criteria.

DAPA was blocked by the courts from implementation, which the Department of Homeland Security cited as a reason for rescinding the program. A DHS press released said Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly signed a memorandum rescinding DAPA on Thursday because “there is no credible path forward to litigate the currently enjoined policy.”

The program had been challenged by 26 states after Obama issued it in November 2014. The Supreme Court deadlocked when ruling on the constitutionality of the program in June 2016, splitting the vote 4-4 due to the empty seat at the time left by late Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia…

Alex Jones Gets Jump On Megyn Kelly; Leaks Recordings “To Set The Record Straight” – Zero Hedge

After NBC’s Megyn Kelly lied to Alex Jones about the scope and purpose of an upcoming Father’s Day airing of his sit-down interview for Sunday Night With Megyn Kelly, the Infowars host set the record straight on Thursday night – preempting Kelly’s segment with ‘leaked’ recordings of their conversations before she could smear Jones on Sunday.

The Setup

As Jones and Kelly began to discuss the details of the NBC interview, Kelly played the part of earnest lawyer turned plucky journalist – batting her eyelashes and insisting her new show was about profiling ‘interesting people’ so the public can get to know them better.

I’m trying to create a different kind of program. I’ll ask you about some of the controversies, of course, and you’ll say what you want to say…

Amazon Is Buying Whole Foods For $13.7 Billion – Forbes

Amazon said on Friday it has agreed to buy Whole Foods in a deal valued at $13.7 billion, as the e-commerce juggernaut makes its boldest push yet into the grocery business.

Under the terms of the deal, Amazon would pay $42 per share in cash for the company, which represents a 27% premium to Thursday’s closing price.

“Whole Foods Market has been satisfying, delighting and nourishing customers for nearly four decades – they’re doing an amazing job and we want that to continue,” said Amazon’s billionaire founder and CEO Jeff Bezos in a statement.

Whole Foods will continue to operate its stores under its brand and John Mackey will remain as CEO. Its headquarters will remain in Austin, Texas.

The organic grocer, which was founded in 1978 and now has more than 460 stores, has come under pressure from investors lately due to sliding sales. It has struggled to attract shoppers as giants like Kroger and Wal-Mart expand their healthy grocery offerings. Its stock has lost a fifth of its value in the last three years…

Budget Director Mulvaney Releases Phase 1 Of Plan To Slash Government Waste – Zero Hedge
.

.
The White House Office of Management and Budget Director Mick Mulvaney announced earlier today ‘Phase 1’ of the Trump administration’s plans for a massive government reorganization, a move meant to increase the efficiency and productivity of the federal government.

In a memo published here, Mulvaney detailed plans to rescind or modify many of the requirements placed on federal agencies by the OMB. The office’s logic is rather straightforward: far too often agencies are required to spend more time and energy complying with menial tasks, rather than spending time allocating taxpayer dollars to effectively and efficiently carry out their missions…

A neighborhood resident posted a picture of the contents of the envelope. She told the Washington Free Beacon that several letters were distributed and that they contained white powder. The content of the threatening letter, posted below, contains graphic language.

“Your neighbor Karen Handel is a dirty fascist cunt but I’m sure you already knew that,” the letter says, according to a picture. “Take a whiff of the powder and join her in the hospital you Bourgeoisie motherfuckers.”

DOJ Moves To Seize Leonardo DiCaprio’s Picasso, ‘Stolen’ Funds In 1MDB Case – Reuters
.

.
U.S. authorities moved on Thursday to seize a Picasso painting given to American movie star Leonardo DiCaprio and the rights to two Hollywood comedies, as they filed complaints to recover about $540 million they say was stolen from the 1Malaysia Development Berhad sovereign wealth fund.

The U.S. Justice Department filing was the latest legal action tied to alleged money laundering at the fund set up by Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak in 2009 to promote economic development. In the complaints, the department alleges more than $4.5 billion was taken from 1MDB by high-level fund officials and their associates.

“This money financed the lavish lifestyles of the alleged co-conspirators at the expense and detriment of the Malaysian people,” Kenneth Blanco, acting assistant attorney general, said in a statement. 1MDB could not be immediately reached for comment…

20 Times Violence Threatened, Used, In Wake Of Dems’ Political Collapse – WorldNetDaily

There is no doubt that politics in the United States now include a level of violence not seen in recent memory.

It comes as factions of the Democratic Party have proven unable to accept the fact their candidate for president, now twice-failed Hillary Clinton, lost a decisive election to the GOP candidate, Donald Trump, in 2016.

It means they are not able to continue pushing the nation in a far-left progressive direction, as they did over and over again under Barack Obama.

Even during the campaign, Trump supporters faced physical beatings. They continue to face violence at “resist” protests around the country even now, as those Democrats have moved over and over to deny Trump the rights of the office.

Wednesday, Republican Rep. Steve Scalise and several congressional aides were shot during baseball practice in Alexandria, Virginia, as they prepared to participate in a charity game…

Putin Likens Comey To Snowden, Jokingly Offers Him Asylum – Daily Caller
.

.
Russian President Vladimir Putin likened former FBI Director James Comey to NSA leaker Edward Snowden and offered him political asylum at an annual televised Q&A in Russia.

Putin said Comey’s reported practice of taking detailed notes of his conversations with President Donald Trump was behavior like that of a civil rights activists rather than the head of a security bureau. He highlighted Russia’s grant of asylum to Snowden, who the Kremlin maintains is being persecuted for political purposes.

“If he continues to be persecuted in this connection, we will be ready to provide political asylum to him, he should know about that,” Putin said of Comey in his remarks.

Putin’s remarks come after Comey’s June 8 testimony, when he divulged he kept detailed notes of several conversations between himself and Trump…

Trump’s New Order Will Revive Apprenticeships In America – Red Alert Politics

President Trump took steps on Thursday to move forward with his populist agenda, including getting Americans back to work and finding alternatives to an expensive four-year college degree.

The President signed an executive order during an event on Apprenticeship and Workforce of Tomorrow initiatives to expand skill-based job training programs. “We want to make sure that we have the workforce development programs we need to ensure these jobs are being filled by American workers,” Trump said during the signing ceremony.

Taxpayers spend billions on education and workforce development programs, but they still fail to teach the required skills for Americans to get full-time jobs. Trump’s reforms would allow more people to get a skill-based apprentice job for a fraction of the expense.

The Executive Order creates more flexible apprenticeship programs and allows companies, trade associations, and unions to create their own “industry-recognized apprenticeship,” approved by the Department of Labor (DOL)…

Trump was reportedly joined by first lady Melania Trump, according to a pool report. Reporters accompanying the president were asked to wait in vans outside the hospital.

Upon entering the hospital, Trump spoke with the congressman’s family and sat by his bedside, White House press secretary Sean Spicer said. Also accompanying Trump to the hospital was his personal physician, Dr. Ronny Jackson, who had reportedly visited the hospital earlier to discuss Scalise’s condition. The first lady gave Scalise’s family a bouquet of flowers.

The Trumps also paid a visit to Capitol Police officer Crystal Griner, who was shot in the ankle Wednesday morning in the same attack. Griner and her wife were also presented with flowers.

Trump To Rewrite Obama Rules On Student Loan Foregiveness – Zero Hedge
.

.
A few months ago we noted that 31% of college students in the U.S., or roughly 2.4 million kids, literally admitted to using student loan money to fund their binge drinking trips to Cancun and Daytona Beach for spring break.

Now, while most of us who’ve had the opportunity to live in the real world, outside the comfort of mom and dad’s basement, would consider it a bad idea to borrow 10-20 year debt to take a vacation we couldn’t afford, many college students seem to think it’s a perfectly acceptable practice.

Now, to be clear, we have no problem with making bad decisions, sometimes those are the most fun (see pic below for evidence). We only ask that the people who make the bad decisions are also the same people who get to deal with the consequences of those bad decisions…

University Of Wisconsin-Madison Offers Course On The Evils Of Capitalism – Truth Revolt

UW Madison students will see a new class option on their syllabus. “Class, State, and Ideology: An Introduction to Social Science in the Marxist Tradition” will be taught by Dr. Erik Olin Wright. The professor, who was born in Berkeley, will teach students how to effectively push back against the “oppressive” system of capitalism.

The College Fix reports:

A class at University of Wisconsin-Madison studies how capitalism “generates harms” and “is irrational in ways that hurt nearly everyone,” according to a copy of the syllabus recently obtained through a public records act request by the MacIver Institute…

The course explores the “full range of harms and forms of injustice associated with capitalism. These critiques can be broadly grouped under three rubrics: exploitation, domination, and irrationality,” it states.

It would be one thing to teach about capitalism and its potential problems, but that’s not what this professor will be doing….
