Teen YouTuber Shoots, Kills Boyfriend In Video Stunt – NBC
.

.
A 19-year-old aspiring YouTube star’s boyfriend is dead after she shot him in the chest in a video stunt gone wrong, according to a criminal complaint filed on Wednesday.

Norman County Sheriff Jeremy Thornton said in a statement that Monalisa Perez of Minnesota was arrested after she shot her boyfriend Pedro Ruiz III, 22, in the chest. According to court documents, she shot him with a gold Desert Eagle .50 caliber handgun – considered one of the most powerful pistols in the world – in the grass outside their home while he held up a hardcover encyclopedia to block the bullet.

The criminal complaint added that the incident came about because Ruiz wanted to make a YouTube video in order to grow the following they had on their YouTube channel…

China’s National Petroleum Corporation Suspends Fuel Sales To North Korea – Reuters

China National Petroleum Corp has suspended sales of fuel to North Korea over concerns the state-owned oil company won’t get paid, as pressure mounts on Pyongyang to rein in its nuclear and missile programmes, three sources told Reuters.

It’s unclear how long the suspension will last. A prolonged cut would threaten critical supplies of fuel and force North Korea to find alternatives to its main supplier of diesel and gasoline, as scrutiny of China’s close commercial ties with its increasingly isolated neighbour intensifies.

CNPC and the Ministry of Commerce did not respond to requests for comment. North Korea’s embassy in Beijing declined to comment.

Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Lu Kang, asked about the sale suspension and whether the Chinese government put pressure on CNPC to make this decision, said: “I do not understand this situation you are talking about” and declined to elaborate.

A source with direct knowledge of the matter said CNPC decided to put fuel sales on hold “over the last month or two” and described it as a “commercial decision”…

Rhode Island Discovers 150,000 Voters Erroneously On Rolls – Daily Caller
.

.
Rhode Island Secretary of State Nellie Gorbea has found 150,000 people wrongly placed on the state’s voter rolls, The Providence Journal reported Wednesday.

During the 2016 election, the state held a total of 781,770 registered voters. According to The Providence Journal, almost 65,000 names were cleared away since Gorbea became R.I. Sec of State in 2015. An additional 30,000 were classified as “inactive.”

Gorbea said she would not describe it as “fraud.” She added, “It’s really just inaccuracies.”

It is a difficult process to purge voters from the rolls as a result of Rhode Island law and federal law. The Providence Journal notes that if an official election mailer is sent back as undeliverable, the voter can be simply called inactive…

John Podesta Hauled In For Closed-Door Questioning By House Intel Committee – Zero Hedge

Looks like Johnny’s got some ‘splainin to do. Former Hillary Clinton Campaign Chairman John Podesta was hauled in front of the House Intelligence Committee during a closed session on Tuesday – ostensibly to answer questions about the Obama administratio’s handling of intelligence that Russia tried to hack state voting systems – and, strangely enough, it’s Democrats who are taking the credit for bringing him in.

As Bloomberg reported, Podesta met behind closed doors with the committee to answer questions about exactly why former President Barack Obama decided to sit on intelligence reports that Russia-backed hackers tried to infiltrate voting systems in 20 states after President Donald Trump took to twitter to point out the obvious hypocrisy in how Congress has aggressively scrutinized him for “collusion” and “obstruction” when it’s becoming increasingly clear that Democrats committed these exact offenses.

And now, Democrats, including Californians Dianne Feinstein, the ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, and Adam Schiff, ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee, are apparently turning on their own…

Prior to ramming the monument, Reed shared another video on his Facebook page where he said his intent to start a GoFundMe to buy a new car afterwards…

Sarah Palin Sues New York Times After Editorial Blames Her For 2011 Gabby Giffords Shooting – NewsBusters

After Republican Rep. Steve Scalise was shot by a Bernie Sanders supporter June 14, Democrats came out in droves to repeatedly blame Republicans and President Trump for the “rhetoric” that supposedly caused the attack. That’s right; a left-wing Bernie supporter tried to assassinate a Republican politician and the media’s reaction was to blame the victim. The New York Times took the same approach but also used the opportunity to smear Sarah Palin in an editorial that reminded readers of the Gabby Giffords shooting in 2011.

The original New York Times editorial that appeared online the day of the attack and the following morning in the paper’s print edition, had this troubling paragraph:

In 2011, when Jared Lee Loughner opened fire in a supermarket parking lot, grievously wounding Representative Gabby Giffords and killing six people, including a 9-year-old girl, the link to political incitement was clear. Before the shooting, Sarah Palin’s political action committee circulated a map of targeted electoral districts that put Ms. Giffords and 19 other Democrats under stylized cross hairs…

.

.
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced Tuesday, to the delight of rural America, that the Trump administration is moving to rescind the Obama era’s “Waters of the United States” (WOTUS) regulatory rule.

WOTUS gave the federal government effective authority over water use on 247 million acres of American farmland.

EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt, together with Secretary of the Army for Civil Works Douglas Lamont, signed a proposed regulatory rescission of WOTUS. As soon as the proposed rule change can be published in the Federal Register, under Docket ID No. EPA-HQ-OW-2017-0203, the public will have a 30-day comment period to “review and revise” the definition of “waters of the United States.”…

Yazidi Sex Slave Tricked Into Eating Her Infant Son After ISIS Butchered Him – New York Post

A sex slave captured by ISIS was forced to eat her 1-year-old son with a side of rice, according to a gut-wrenching report.

The unnamed Yazidi woman – who was starved for three days in an Iraq basement – unwittingly ate the boy after barbaric guards cooked and served him to her, an Iraqi politician said in a TV interview Monday.

“One of the women whom we managed to retrieve from ISIS said that she was held in a cellar for three days without food or water,” Iraqi MP Vian Dakhill told the Egyptian TV channel Extra News.

“Afterwards, they brought her a plate of rice and meat. She ate the food because she was very hungry,” he said, according to a translation by the Middle East Media Research Institute.

“When she was finished they said to her: ‘We cooked your 1-year-old son that we took from you, and this is what you just ate.’”

The brutal jihadists believed the woman was a devil worshiper because she practices the Yazidi religion, according to the report…

CNN has hit a new low by deciding to use popular Sesame Street television puppet Elmo as a propaganda tool against President Trump’s temporary travel ban.

Here is the script from CNN, which directly attacks President Trump and his policies:

Popular “Sesame Street” character Elmo sympathized with refugee kids in an interview Monday with CNN, remarking that they are just like kids in America.

Elmo was part of a panel including CNN reporter Clarissa Ward, Sherrie Westin from Sesame Workshop, and David Miliband from the International Rescue Committee.

“Did you find that the Syrian little girls and little boys were a lot like your friends here in America?” Ward asked Elmo…

‘Concerning’ Amounts Of Fecal Bacteria Found In Drinks Sold At UK’s Top Three Coffee Chains – RT

Traces of fecal bacteria have been found in drinks sold by Britain’s three major coffee chains, a BBC investigation has found.

It found that ice drinks from Starbucks, Caffe Nero, and Costa all had traces of the fecal-derived pathogen.

Seven out of 10 samples from Costa, which has been voted the nation’s favorite coffee shop for the third year in a row, were found to contain the bacteria.

Three out of 10 samples from Starbucks and Caffe Nero were found to contain the bacteria, known as fecal coliform.

Tony Lewis of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health said the results are “concerning.”

“These should not be present at any level – never mind the significant numbers found,” he said.

Lewis warned that such “opportunistic pathogens” are the cause of “human disease.”

All three chains said they are now investigating the issue.

Costa, where customers can choose their iced drink from a range of six different flavors, said it had updated its ice-producing guidelines and sought out new equipment…

Snopes Carries Water For Muhammad – Robert Spencer
.

.
The self-proclaimed fact-checker Snopes.com has been harshly criticized for its Leftist bias, and as is so often the case, a tilt to the Left also means a willingness to foster ignorance and complacency about the nature and magnitude of the jihad threat.

After a billboard went up in Indiana pointing out six unsavory aspects of the life of Muhammad, the prophet of Islam, Snopes labeled the billboard’s charges “Mostly False” – but that label applies far more accurately to the Snopes report than to the billboard.

Snopes’ falsehoods begin with its initial assertion that the billboard’s title, “the perfect man,” “is poor translation from an Arabic phrase in the Koran, which describes the Prophet as an excellent example.”…

Florida Woman Strangles Pet Chihuahua To Death After It Bites Her Hand – Daily Mail

A woman in Florida has been arrested on animal cruelty charges for allegedly choking to death her pet chihuahua.

Alice Evans is accused of strangling the animal, which was called Big John Evans, at her home in Marathon on Saturday.

She was arrested after allegedly confessing her crime to medical staff at a local hospital where she went after being bitten by the animal.

Evans told police at her home that it was the third time the animal had bitten her this year, NBC Miami reported on Tuesday.

She used its leash to strangle it and then buried its body in her back yard, police say.

After her confession, they dug the animal’s body up and took it to a veterinary hospital where the cause of its death was given as strangulation.

Evans was held on $25,000 bond and remains in custody awaiting a court date…

Venezuela: Police Helicopter Attacks Supreme Court With Grenades – The Guardian

A police helicopter launched grenades at Venezuela’s supreme court building on Tuesday evening following months of protests against the country’s president, Nicolلs Maduro.

Maduro said “terrorists” had lobbed two grenades that failed to detonate. Some reports put the number of grenades higher. Local media suggested a former police intelligence officer had carried out the attack.

Videos circulated on social media showed a man piloting the helicopter while holding a banner that read “Liberty. Article 350”, in reference to the part of the Venezuelan constitution that allows citizens to declare themselves in civil disobedience in front of “any regime that runs counter to democratic guarantees or undermines human rights”…

Senate Judiciary Committee Targets Obama ‘Unmasking’ Operatives – Washington Times

The Senate Judiciary Committee will attempt during a closed-door hearing Wednesday to get to the bottom of the alleged “unmasking” of Trump campaign and transition officials by the Obama White House – furthering a potentially explosive counter-narrative coursing beneath the various congressional probes into alleged Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election.

Former National Security Adviser Susan E. Rice, in addition to other top officials from the Obama administration, have come under suspicion during recent months amid accusations that they inappropriately “unmasked” requests to identify Trump associates caught up in clandestine surveillance of Russian operatives prior to and during the immediate aftermath of the November election.

While Republican lawmakers have during recent months led the charge for a deeper investigation into the unmasking allegations, it was a key Democrat on the Judiciary Committee who raised the issue during a public committee hearing on Tuesday, asserting that lawmakers hope to explore it more deeply with FBI officials during a secret hearing slated for Wednesday…

Economists Hilariously Over-Predicted Economic Growth Under Obama – Daily Caller
.

.
White house economists overestimated annual economic growth by about 80 percent on average for a six year stretch during Barack Obama’s presidency, according to Freedom Works economic consultant Stephen Moore.

Economists predicted growth between 3.2 to 4.6 percent for the years 2010 through 2015. Actual economic growth never hit above 2.6 percent.

“Why does anyone bother to listen to economists anymore?” Moore writes in The Washington Times. “Almost all of the economics profession… bought into the Keynesian idea that what would revive the economy after the Great Recession of 2008-09 was massive government spending ‘stimulus.’ The trillions of dollars of government borrowing here and abroad created a decade-long anemic recovery.”…

Senate Republicans Delay Vote On Craptastic Healthcare Bill Until After July 4th Recess – Daily Caller

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell announced Tuesday that the Senate will delay the vote on its version of Obamacare repeal until after the July 4 recess.

The Senate released a revised healthcare bill Monday that takes out the individual mandate and replaces it with a penalty for people who go without insurance. If the Senate passes the bill, people who choose to go without insurance for over 63 days will have a six-month waiting period imposed upon them before they can reenroll in the individual insurance market.

The Congressional Budget Office expected that some 22 million people would lose insurance by 2026.

The House bill, passed in early May, was originally expected to leave 24 million people without insurance, but was later amended to 23 million. The Senate’s version, after weeks of debate, is only anticipated to save an additional 1 million of the expected loss in the insurance market.

The revised Senate bill keeps many of the provisions of the June 22 draft…

The Office of U.S. Special Counsel, the government’s main whistleblower agency, is investigating whether FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe’s activities supporting his wife Jill’s Democratic campaign for Virginia state senate in 2015 violated the Hatch Act’s prohibition against FBI agents campaigning in partisan races.

The agency’s probe was prompted by a complaint in April from a former FBI agent who forwarded social media photos showing McCabe wearing a T-shirt supporting his wife’s campaign during a public event and then posting a photo on social media urging voters to join him in voting for his wife.

“I am voting for Jill because she is the best wife ever,” McCabe put on a sign that he photographed himself holding…

19th Obamacare Co-Op Folds, Leaving Only 4 Operating In 2018 – Washington Free Beacon

Minuteman Health of Massachusetts and New Hampshire announced it is withdrawing from the Affordable Care Act exchanges in 2018, leaving only four co-ops in operation. The co-op will stop writing business on January 1 and organize a new company, Minuteman Insurance Company, instead.

The company cited issues with Obamacare’s risk-adjustment program, which is the program that shifts money away from those with healthier customers to those with sicker enrollees. Minuteman Health said that the negative impact of this program had been “substantial.”

“Unfortunately, the program has not worked as intended,” the company said. “It has been difficult for insurers to predict their risk-adjustment obligations, which has led some to withdraw from the ACA market.”

“The program also unfairly penalizes issuers like MHI that are small, low cost, and experience high growth,” the company said. “The significant relative impact from risk adjustment has been the principal driver of a reduction in MHI’s surplus and capital over 2 [sic] time.”…

Did The FBI Retaliate Against Michael Flynn By Launching Russia Probe? – Circa

The FBI launched a criminal probe against former Trump National Security Adviser Michael Flynn two years after the retired Army general roiled the bureau’s leadership by intervening on behalf of a decorated counterterrorism agent who accused now-Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe and other top officials of sexual discrimination, according to documents and interviews.

Flynn’s intervention on behalf of Supervisory Special Agent Robyn Gritz was highly unusual, and included a letter in 2014 on his official Pentagon stationary, a public interview in 2015 supporting Gritz’s case and an offer to testify on her behalf. His offer put him as a hostile witness in a case against McCabe, who was soaring through the bureau’s leadership ranks.

The FBI sought to block Flynn’s support for the agent, asking a federal administrative law judge in May 2014 to keep Flynn and others from becoming a witness in her Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) case, memos obtained by Circa show. Two years later, the FBI opened its inquiry of Flynn…

Study: Seattle’s Minimum Wage Increase Goes Horribly Wrong – Washington Examiner

Seattle’s hotly-disputed $15-an-hour minimum wage law is reportedly hurting the exact people it was supposed to help.

Low-wage workers in Seattle have seen their earnings decline by an estimated $125 per month, according to a National Bureau of Economic Research working paper titled, “Minimum Wage Increases, Wages, and Low-Wage Employment: Evidence from Seattle.”

That’s an earnings decline of $1,500 per year.

Several employers have reduced their payrolls, the study reported, adding that others have cut employee hours or the size of their staff.

The city enacted the first phase of the Seattle Minimum Wage Ordinance in 2015, raising the minimum wage from $9.47 to $11 per hour. It enacted the second phase in 2016, which boosted the minimum to $13 per hour for larger employers. Its eventual plan is to see that amount boosted all the way to $15 per hour…

Student Headed To Prison For Registering Dead Voters For Democrats – WTVR

A man paid to register Virginia voters prior to the 2016 Presidential Election will spend at least 100 days in prison for submitting the names of deceased individuals to the Registrar’s Office.

James Madison University student Andrew J. Spieles, 21, of Harrisonburg, pled guilty Monday in the United States District Court for the Western District of Virginia. As part of the plea agreement, Spieles agreed to a prison sentence of 100 to 120 days.

Spieles worked for Harrisonburg Votes when he committed the crime, according to acting United States Attorney Rick A. Mountcastle.

Harrisonburg Votes is a political organization affiliated with the Democratic Party.

“In July 2016 Spieles’ job was to register as many voters as possible and reported to Democratic Campaign headquarters in Harrisonburg,” a U.S. Attorney’s Office spokesperson said. “In August 2016, Spieles was directed to combine his registration numbers with those of another individual because their respective territories overlapped…

Libtards Accidentally Fly Banner Attacking Nevada Republican Over West Virginia – Washington Free Beacon

Liberal activists in West Virginia accidentally flew an aerial message attacking a Republican senator representing a completely different state on the other side of the country.

Reporters at the Charleston Gazette-Mail on Monday noticed a plane flying around West Virginia’s capital city with a banner reading, “SEN HELLER: KEEP YOUR WORD VOTE NO ON TRUMPCARE.”

The only problem? Republican Sen. Dean Heller represents Nevada. The GOP senator representing West Virginia is Shelley Moore Capito.

The Gazette-Mail‘s executive editor, Rob Byers, identified UltraViolet, a liberal women’s advocacy group, as the organization responsible for the embarrassing mixup.

UltraViolet appeared to be using its aerial message to pressure Senate Republicans to vote against the chamber’s health care bill under consideration to replace the Affordable Care Act.

Google Fined A Record €2.4 Billion For Skewing Search Results In European Antitrust Ruling – Zero Hedge

.
Google suffered a major regulatory blow on Tuesday, when the EU’s antitrust regulator fined Alphabet’s Google a record €2.42 billion ($2.71 billion) fine for “abusing its dominance in search” and favoring its own comparison-shopping service in search results: a decision with far-reaching implications for both the tech sector and already strained transatlantic relations.

The EU further ordered the search giant to apply the same methods to rivals as its own when displaying their services in search results.

Margrethe Vestager, the EU’s competition commissioner, said Google “denied other companies the chance to compete” and left consumers without “genuine choice.”

Google’s strategy for its comparison shopping service wasn’t just about attracting customers by making its product better than those of its rivals…
