Wasserman-Schultz IT Aide Arrested While Attempting To Flee Country, Charged With Bank Fraud – Zero Hedge
.

.
Just a day after reports emerged that the FBI had seized a number of “smashed hard drives” and other computer equipment from the residence Imran Awan, the IT aide of Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, we learn that Awan has been captured at the Dulles airport while attempted to flee the country. According to Fox News, Awan has been charged with bank fraud.

Inexplicably, or perhaps not, Awan has been kept on the payroll of former DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman-Schultz despite a rapidly escalating scandal that potentially involves multiple federal crimes.

Meanwhile, here is a list of the 30 other Democrats that had the Awans on their taxpayer-funded payrolls…

Man Charged With Impregnating 11-Year-Old Claims She May Have Raped Him – Law Newz

A Massachusetts man accused of raping a child by force and impregnating her had a surprising defense. Justin J. Armstrong, 38, claimed he didn’t commit the abuse, according to local newspaper The Republican – Instead, he claims she may have raped him in his sleep.

Prosecutors claim that the 11-year-old girl told them Armstrong sexually abused her for approximately 18 months. He allegedly told her he’d be arrested if she came out with the truth, but she eventually told one of her mother’s friends.

Armstrong, who was arrested Friday, denied the allegations. He told cops that according to the victim, a relative sexually abused her. As Assistant District Attorney Jill O’Connor laid it out in court Monday, he eventually learned the victim was pregnant, and suggested she raped him in his sleep.

The victim had an abortion, but the pregnancy will still play a role in this case. O’Connor said they’re still waiting for the results of a DNA test on the fetal tissue…

Mizzou Has Officially Fired Both Employees Who Bullied Students During Mob Protests – Daily Caller
.

.
Officials at the University of Missouri’s flagship campus in Columbia have finally rid themselves of the administrator and the professor who physically and verbally attacked student journalists during the eruption of Black Lives Matter protests that rocked the school’s campus in November 2015.

The firing of both taxpayer-funded employees – mass communication professor Melissa Click and senior associate director for Greek life Janna Basler – took 20 months. Basler, the Greek life director, shoved up against a lone student photographer Tim Tai as he attempted to capture images for a local newspaper.

Scuttlebutt about Basler’s employment status began earlier this month when Mizzou officials announced approximately 400 layoffs in the face of massive state budget cuts and a huge plunge in student enrollment…

GOP Health Care Bill Clears First Huge Hurdle In Senate – Business Insider

The Senate narrowly voted on Tuesday to open debate on the Republican effort to overhaul healthcare, kicking off a furious voting process after tumultuous arguments within the GOP.

A procedural vote to begin debate on the House’s healthcare bill passed, 51-50, as Vice President Mike Pence cast the tiebreaking vote. It came amid the dramatic return of Sen. John McCain, who cast a crucial vote in favor of the legislation, a week after announcing he had brain cancer.

Even with this step, it is unclear whether Republicans will have the votes to eventually repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act, the healthcare law known as Obamacare.

Every Democrat voted against the motion on Tuesday, as well as Republican Sens. Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski. GOP leadership could not have afforded another defection.

Several Republican members who were on the fence about the motion voted for the measure after significant pressure from Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and the White House. Sen. Ron Johnson came to the floor and talked privately with McConnell before finally casting a “yes” vote…

Politico’s Tara Palmeri was the first to report the news.

“Newly appointed White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci said on Tuesday that he plans to dismiss assistant press secretary Michael Short,” Palmeri wrote on Tuesday morning…

Al Gore Can’t Save The Global Warming Cult – Bruce Thornton

Following Donald Trump’s withdrawal of the U.S. from the Paris Climate Accord, Al Gore is releasing an update of his 2006 documentary An Inconvenient Truth. It’s called An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power, in which no doubt we will hear the same apocalyptic hysteria of its predecessor, and the same lurid predictions that will never come true. The difference between the 2006 Academy Award winner and the updated version is that now volumes of counter-evidence and exposure of the manipulation of climate data make it obvious that catastrophic anthropogenic global warming (AGW) is a progressive cult-belief and alternative energy boondoggle, not real science.

Earlier this month PJMedia covered a new report that seriously challenges the data all warmists rely on to buttress their case that the planet has been steadily warming to disastrous levels. This peer-reviewed paper examines how the raw data from weather stations are manipulated and altered by the three main purveyors of temperature data known as Global Average Surface Temperature (GAST) – The National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration, NASA, and the Hadley Center for Climate Prediction and Research – before being used by other researchers…

Obama’s IRS Paid Out As Mush As $24 Billion In Bogus Refunds – Washington Times
.

.
The IRS doled out more than $24 billion in potentially bogus refunds claimed under several controversial tax credits in 2016, according to a new audit that said $118 million was even paid to people who weren’t authorized to work in the U.S. in the first place.

Some $16.8 billion in payments were made on improper claims under the Earned Income Tax Credit, signifying a 24 percent error rate. Investigators also estimated $7.2 billion in improper payments for the Additional Child Tax Credit, representing 25 percent of the total, and $1.1 billion in improper payments, or 24 percent, for a higher education tax credit.

The totals and error rates for the earned income and child credits were comparable for 2015, while the education tax credit saw improvement…

Study: 8,471 Cases Of Double Voting Uncovered In 21 States – Breitbart

As the debate over President Donald Trump’s voter fraud commission intensifies, a new study has found 8,471 instances of double voting during the 2016 elections occurring in 21 states.

The nonpartisan Government Accountability Institute (GAI), which was cofounded by Breitbart News Senior Editor-at-Large Peter Schweizer and former Breitbart Executive Chairman Stephen K. Bannon, analyzed data from 21 U.S. states and found that 7,271 ballots were cast in more than one state by individuals with the identical first and last name, middle initial, birthdate, and partial Social Security number.

Another 1,200 double votes meeting the same criteria were detected within the same state. Given the high methodological bar employed, GAI says the statistical “probability of correctly matching two records with the same name, birthdate, and Social Security number is close to 100 percent.”

The 37-page study is unique in that while most past voter fraud analyses have used statistical models to project fraud rates, the GAI report identified actual matches of real votes cast using public voter information rolls…

Kid Rock Leading In Michigan Senate Poll – Daily Wire
.

.
A new poll conducted by Delphi Analytica reveals one the most amazing results in recent polling history: among those told to choose between the two candidates, musician Robert Ritchie, aka Kid Rock, who is highly successful and famous for his hard-party image, including songs revolving around heavy drug use, sex with prostitutes and strippers as well as being featured in sex tapes, and incumbent Michigan Senator Debbie Stabenow, 54% chose Kid Rock and 46% chose Stabenow.

Among voters overall, 44% were undecided.

Kid Rock has plenty of issues that an opposing candidate might target, as Politico points out:

…the no-contest plea to charges he assaulted a DJ at a Nashville strip club, the messy divorce from Pamela Anderson… when he told Rolling Stone of his distaste for Beyoncé (“I like skinny white chicks with big tits”)…

8 Illegals Found Dead In Tractor Trailer At San Antonio Walmart, 30 Others In Bad Shape – MYSA

The driver of a tractor-trailer that was found in a Walmart parking lot with eight dead immigrants and 30 others in bad shape is in federal custody, officials said Sunday.

James M. Bradley Jr., 60, is believed to be from Florida. He was booked into a federal jail in San Antonio on human trafficking charges for his alleged role in what U.S. Attorney Richard Durbin called “an alien smuggling venture gone horribly wrong.”

“We’re working on a complaint right now,” Durbin said. “He’s in custody and he will be charged.”

The truck was parked at a back corner of the Walmart parking lot at 8538 S. Interstate 35 and Texas 16 on the Southwest Side at least since Saturday night. The eight immigrants are believed to have died as a result of heat exposure/asphyxiation, according to a San Antonio Police Department news release, but an official cause of death will be determined by the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Officials said it was a refrigerated trailer but the air conditioning wasn’t working…

The dramatic moment a heroic Starbucks customer beat down an armed robber with a chair has been caught on video.

Hero Cregg Jerri, 58, and suspect Ryan Michael Florez, 30, were both stabbed in the struggle for the suspect’s knife during a stickup at a Starbucks in Fresno, California on Thursday.

Police said that Florez fled the scene and later claimed to be a victim of the robbery, but was identified as the robber with the help of surveillance video, according to the Fresno Bee.

He was armed with a large knife and replica handgun, according to police.

The video shows the suspect wearing a blue mask from the Transformers franchise approaching the Starbucks counter wielding a realistic-looking handgun…

At Least 90 Hospitalized, 50 Charged With Underage Drinking At Hartford ‘Hot Jam’ Concert – Hartford Courant

At least 90 people were hospitalized and another 50 were charged with underage drinking during the Hot 93.7 Hot Jam concert at Xfinity Theatre on Friday night, police and fire officials said.

The number of people taken to the hospital on Friday night far exceeds what is typical for a concert in the city, Deputy Police Chief Brian Foley said.

“A ‘typical’ concert is around 20-30 transports. 60 would be very bad. We had 70 once and 90 last night,” Foley said. “It depends on the act that is in town and the fan base age.”

Hartford Fire Capt. Raul Ortiz said the “constant cycling of transports” overwhelmed the department.

Hartford’s ambulance provider had to call in additional resources and some patients had to be taken to hospitals in Farmington, Manchester and New Britain, Ortiz said.

“When it’s at this level, you’re tapping into all your resources in the area,” he said.

A large number of the patients were underage concertgoers experiencing “severe intoxication,” Foley said…

ICE Chief: We’re Coming For Sanctuary Cities, And We’re Not Sorry – Daily Wire

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Acting Director Thomas D. Homan says his team, unshackled by President Donald Trump, is “open for business” and planning to target sanctuary cities with additional resources and 10,000 new agents. And he’s not sorry about it.

Homan told The Washington Examiner on Tuesday that deportation targets have surged now that President Trump has “taken the handcuffs off of law enforcement.” The top ICE official explained that illegal border crossings have plummeted by nearly 70% since Trump took office, “arrests inside the country have jumped 40% and that demands for illegal criminals in local jails has skyrocketed 80%.”

Now that illegal crossing have dropped to “a historic low,” according to Homan, border officers can turn their attention to illegal immigrants settled in the country…

Whistleblower: Obama Labor Officials Denied Or Delayed Pay-Outs To Nuclear Workers In Hopes They Would Die – Washington Free Beacon

A senior attorney at the Labor Department is accusing agency officials of writing and manipulating regulations to intentionally delay and deny congressionally mandated compensation to nuclear-weapons workers who suffered from sicknesses – and in some cases died – as a result of their work building the nation’s Cold War nuclear arsenal.

The attorney, Stephen Silbiger, says Labor Department leadership under former Labor Secretary Tom Perez ignored years of his complaints about the “open hostility” he said some officials exhibited toward claimants, many of whom are too poor and sick to fight the agency’s denials and red tape in federal court.

When Congress passed the law creating the compensation program in 2000, a bipartisan group of lawmakers promised these nuclear workers a claimant-friendly path to compensating them or their families for illnesses related to the country’s nuclear build-up and their exposure to toxins at bomb-making facilities…

To Shrink Mosquito Population, Scientists Are Releasing 20 Million Mosquitoes – NPR
.

.
This summer, scientists in California are releasing 20 million mosquitoes in an effort to shrink the population of mosquitoes that can carry diseases.

It sounds counterintuitive. But the plan is to release millions of sterile male mosquitoes, which will then mate with wild female mosquitoes. The eggs the females lay won’t hatch, researchers say.

The project is called Debug Fresno and it’s being undertaken by Verily, a subsidiary of Alphabet, Google’s holding company. It’s the company’s first field study involving sterile mosquitoes in the U.S.

Scientists say the goal is to cut the population of Aedes aegypti mosquitoes – the species responsible for spreading Zika, dengue and chikungunya…

Desperate Libs Try New Strategy To Keep Voter Fraud Secret – Truthfeed

The Democrats are in a full-blown panic over President Trump’s Election Integrity Commission.

They are investigating the integrity of elections in the U.S., by determining exactly how many illegals are voting in our elections.

And by the looks of things, there’s a lot, because Democrats are in a tizzy. So much so, that liberal organizations are SUING the commission to prevent exposure.

Say what? The people who are supposedly OUTRAGED over possible “Russian interference” in our presidential election, suddenly don’t care about local integrity?

That doesn’t jive, does it?

From Breitbart

Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach, who serves as vice chairman of the Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity, talked with Breitbart News Daily on Friday about efforts by groups like the ACLU and NAACP to prevent his commission from doing its work…

.

.
The Democratic National Committee is struggling to win elections – and it’s also $3.3 million in debt.

The DNC raised just $5.5 million over the June fundraising period and outspent themselves by about $200k, finishing the month with $3.3 million in debt, according to the most recent FEC filings

The RNC has $44.7 million cash on hand compared to the DNC’s $7.5 million.

The DNC’s fundraising woes may be tied to their inability to communicate an effective message. According to a recent poll, 52 percent of Americans believe the Democratic Party doesn’t stand for anything – rather, they only stand against Trump…

Trump To Order Major Review Of Defense Industrial Base, Improved Military Readiness – Washington Times

President Trump plans to sign an executive order Friday for the first government-wide assessment of the industrial base and supply chains supporting the U.S. military, White House officials said.

The study includes agencies ranging from the Pentagon and Homeland Security to Labor and Energy and is part of Mr. Trump’s strategy address lost U.S. manufacturing capability and preserve military readiness, said the officials.

“America’s defense industrial base is now facing increasing gaps in its capabilities,” said Peter Navarro, director of the White House Office of Trade and Manufacturing Policy.

As an example off-known gaps, he noted that only one U.S. company current can repair propellers for Navy submarine and that some military-grade semiconductors had become “endangered species.”

The executive order caps a week in which Mr. Trump focused on Made-in-America policies…

“Everything Will Collapse” German Judge Warns As Refugees Flood System With Appeals – Zero Hedge

Hundreds of thousands of migrants who’ve appealed decisions by Germany’s immigration courts have brought the country’s legal system to the brink of collapse, a German judge warned on Friday.

More than 1.3 million migrants have arrived in Germany since the beginning of 2015. Since then, the sheer number of cases filed has overwhelmed the civil courts of the country, said Robert Seegmuller, chairman of the Association of German Administrative Law Judges, speaking to the publishing house Redaktionsnetzwerk Deutschland.

“The situation is dramatic for administrative courts,” Seegmuller told RND. “We are now completely stretched to our limits.”

Seegmuller had been complaining since spring about the number of lawsuits being filed against the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees. Thousands of applicants have challenged decisions delivered on their cases by the office, including deportation orders back to potentially unsafe countries such as Afghanistan…

Reuters reported Thursday:

The White House said Thursday it had withdrawn or removed from active consideration more than 800 proposed regulations that were never finalized during the Obama administration as it works to shrink the federal government’s regulatory footprint.

Rep. Tom Garrett Announces Intent To File Discharge Petition On Obamacare Repeal – Breitbart

Rep. Tom Garrett (R-VA), along with a dozen Freedom Caucus members, announced his intent to file a discharge petition that would put a clean repeal of Obamacare before the House.

The House Freedom Caucus repeatedly argued that the best path to repealing Obamacare revolves around a simple repeal of Obamacare and then replacing the Affordable Care Act with a free-market alternative.

Congress passed a clean repeal bill of Obamacare in 2015 only to have it vetoed by President Obama. Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), a former chairman of the Freedom Caucus, reintroduced the same legislation in 2017. However, Congress has not taken up that legislation.

Rep. Tom Garrett announced his intent to file a discharge petition that would put that clean Obamacare repeal bill before the House. Garrett said, “I commend both the President and Republican leadership for working to replace the monstrosity that is Obamacare…

O.J. Simpson Granted Parole After 9 Years In Prison – Washington Times

O.J. Simpson will be paroled after serving nine years in prison for a botched bid to retrieve sports memorabilia in Las Vegas, a Nevada parole board decided on Thursday.

The board decided that Simpson, the 70-year-old former football, TV and movie star, will be released in October after serving his minimum term for armed robbery and assault with a weapon.

Simpson responded emotionally, saying, “Thank you, thank you, thank you.”

Four parole commissioners in Carson City questioned Simpson by videoconference from the Lovelock Correctional Center in rural Nevada. He has been held there since he was convicted in 2008.

The conviction came 13 years to the day after he was acquitted of murder in 1995 in the deaths of his ex-wife and her friend in Los Angeles…

Rats Fall From Ceiling At Dallas Chipotle – Zero Hedge

A day after Chipotle Mexican Grill faced an outbreak of norovirus at a Chipotle restaurant in Virginia, the company’s PR team is dealing with yet another embarrassing public-health incident. A Dallas TV station reported that, at one local Chipotle restaurant, customers’ lunch was ruined when several rodents reportedly fell from the ceiling and landed inside the dining area.

Customers said the rats appeared to materialize from out of nowhere:

“If we would have been sitting at the table next to that it definitely would have fell on top of our food because it was literally right there,” Daniela Ornelas, of Dallas, told NBC DFW, adding that she and her boyfriend were eating during the lunch rush at the restaurant.

“I just kept wondering what it was, and I kept looking around until I looked at the floor, and I saw three rats, and I ran,” Ornelas said.
