TAMPA — Jason Garrison’s power-play goal midway through the third period gave the Tampa Bay Lightning a 4-3 win against the Chicago Blackhawks in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final at Amalie Arena on Saturday.
The best-of-7 series is tied 1-1 with Game 3 at United Center on Monday (8 p.m. ET; NBC, CBC, TVA Sports).
Garrison’s shot from the top of the zone glanced off the stick of Chicago forward Andrew Desjardins into the net at 8:49 of the period.
Lightning goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy replaced starter Ben Bishop when the power play started. Bishop went back to the net during the celebration of Garrison’s goal but then left the game again at 12:19.
Vasilevskiy didn’t touch the puck during his first brief appearance but made five saves in the final 7:41 for the win
