Your Gun Control Cultist of the Day

Did you know an evil person with an AR-15 cannot be killed by a good guy with a handgun? Jennifer Rubin thinks so

So, a person with a 9mm or .357 magnum cannot hurt a person with an AR-15. Does that rifle offer an invisible shield or something?

One Colorado school district is actually doing something that makes sense

The cries of “do something” from the left have all been about curbing rights of the law abiding. This is all too predictable because the left never wants a good crisis to go to waste do they? But one Colorado school district is going to take steps that address the need for better security

The news following the Parkland massacre has focused primarily on efforts to impede the rights of people who had nothing at all to do with Parkland. The anti-gun left wants to inhibit the rights of law-abiding citizens in some misguided effort to stop the next shooting, which will still happen no matter what you do.

However, a small school district in Colorado is addressing the situation differently. They’re expanding gun rights in an effort to combat school shootings. And not just any expansion, but one that will directly impact these kinds of shootings.

A rural Colorado school district decided Wednesday night to allow its teachers and other school staff to carry guns on campus to protect students.

The Hanover School District 28 board voted 3-2 to allow school employees to volunteer to be armed on the job after undergoing training.

The district’s two schools serve about 270 students about 30 miles southeast of Colorado Springs, and it takes law enforcement an average of 20 minutes to get there. The district currently shares an armed school resource officer with four other school districts.

Board member Michael Lawson backed the idea not only as way to protect students from a mass shooting, but also as protection against possible violence connected with nearby marijuana grows, which he believes are connected with foreign cartels, the Gazette of Colorado Springs reported.

Of course, there were those who refuse to see reality.

School board President Mark McPherson said a survey showed the community was split on the issue. While staffers would get some training, the retired Army officer said he didn’t think it would be enough to help them respond effectively to an active shooter. He worries what would happen if they fired and missed in a classroom.

“We need to leave that to the professionals,” said McPherson, who also worries about the risk posed by just having the guns in the school building and how they would be stored.

Of course, because some people are convinced that self-defense with a gun is simply impossible. Of course stats show that armed self-defense is not rare. And arming teachers not only gives teachers a tool to meet a mad man with deadly force, but, it also serves as a deterrent. Remember almost every single mass shooting has happened in a “gun-free” zone. Those intent on wreaking havoc are not stupid, they much prefer soft targets.

Also, over 15 million Americans carry firearms legally, yet, very, very, very few ever have neglgent discharges, or do anything wrong with that weapon. Also, as Tom Knighton points out in districts that do allow armed teachers, there have been no incidents.

Do something? Yes, tighten background check records. And accept the reality that self-defense is a good thing, and that being a disarmed victim is not somehow morally supperior to be armed.

What if our leaders actually thought about preventing school shootings?

WEll, if they stopped looking only at gun control, or at half-measures and accepted that some people are evil, they might come up with a common sense solution. One like Mike McDaniel has

The ultimate problem is human nature. Evil exists. Some people are simply evil, and evil people do evil things. Whether they are somehow mentally defective, their parents abused them, they are inspired by the author of evil, or even possessed by demons doesn’t matter to their victims. Thankfully, the number willing to carry out mass school attacks remains small, but they have always existed and always will, and there is nothing we can do about that. Nothing.

What does that leave us? What can we do, if anything, to deter, and if deterrence fails, to stop school shooters?

Let me say, Mike has some similar ideas to what I, and others have wished for, and yes, it starts with accepting the truth. Some people are evil, and will only be stopped by force. Either being arrested before they carry out the intended acts, or are stopped by force as they carry out such acts.

There is a simple method, one that would cost little, would effectively deter shooters, and alone, would allow school personnel to stop an attack, potentially before a single person is wounded or killed: allow willing, qualified school personnel—teacher and support staff—to carry concealed handguns.

Concealed carry licensees constitute a ready pool. Many teachers already have such licenses, but are not, with a few states being exceptions, allowed to carry on school property. Texas, for example, allows teachers to keep firearms in their vehicles on school property, and to carry concealed if their districts establish a policy allowing it, but thus far, few have. Most simply prohibit it.

In 2016, I posted an article with a model armed school policy. In that article, I established a fundamental principle:

Fundamental Principle: to have as many armed staff members present in every school as possible, so that when and wherever an attack takes place, there will be multiple armed and capable adults ready, then and there, at that instant, to save lives.

I recommend taking the link and reading that article, but for the moment, allowing every willing concealed carry license holder to carry concealed—the weapon must be completely concealed and always on the person—and publicizing the fact that all employees are allowed to carry, and many are, is the most effective possible deterrent. Unfortunately, this will be resisted because any school district that does not have the policy will be painting a target on the backs of their students and staff, and once nearby districts adopt the policy, they’ll have no choice. That’s right. They’d rather allow their students to be murdered than allow responsible adults to protect their lives.

The tendency to over-regulate must be avoided. To do otherwise violates the fundamental principle. Teachers must be allowed—within professional reason–to carry the handgun they can effectively conceal and shoot well. No teacher need be a police officer or trained to that standard. They need only sufficient skill with their handgun, and to know the law relating to the use of deadly force. Their handguns will only be removed from concealment if they need to save themselves or another from the imminent threat of serious bodily injury or death. Tactical training should be offered every year, but that would be the only real expense for any school district.

Even if a given school had no one carrying concealed, it would enjoy the deterrence benefit. For a school of 3200 students, and likely, 300 or so staff, it’s the only rational possibility. Multiple adults on every floor, in every hallway, in every building, ready and able to save lives, is the only policy that can save lives. To do otherwise, to do less, is to tacitly accept some number of wounded and dead. That number will always be determined by the number of officers on the street when the call is made, traffic patterns, their knowledge of the school facility, the lack of marksmanship of the killer, in other words, dumb luck.

School shootings will happen again; anywhere; anytime. We cannot prevent them, but we can deter and potentially, stop them when and where they occur.

The next time someone feigns shock at the mere idea of armed teachers, ask them this: an armed killer is walking down the hallway of the school where your eight year-old daughter attends class. It will take thirty rounds of gunfire before a phone call is made to the police, 45 seconds for the call to be dispatched, five minutes for the first officer to arrive, and five more minutes for him to enter the school and locate the shooter. Would you rather have multiple teachers armed and ready to stop the shooter, perhaps before he fires a single round, or are you comfortable waiting for that first officer, who stands a 50/50 chance of being shot and killed by the shooter?

Go read the whole thing. I doubt the sage advice given will ever be put in place. Frankly, too many of us are conditioned to not assign blame to the person seeking to do evil. And too many of us refuse to accept that our safety, and our kids safety is our responsibility.

George Soros’s Son Donated $650K To Democrat Committees And Campaigns Last Year – Washington Free Beacon
.

.
The son of liberal billionaire financier George Soros donated $650,000 to Democratic campaigns and committees last year, according to Federal Election Commission records.

Alexander Soros, Soros’s son and managing partner of Soros Brothers Investments, has quietly stepped up as a major liberal donor but has remained relatively obscure due to his father garnering much of the media attention in the family.

Alex’s generous contributions spanned across a number of liberal party committees and campaigns, including two donations totaling $203,400 to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee’s (DCCC) recount and building funds, while providing an additional $33,900 to the committee during the primary period…

Minneapolis TV Station’s Reporters Puzzled By More Guns, Less Crime In The Gopher State – NewsBusters

On Thursday, Minneapolis station WCCO reported on guns and crime in Minnesota. Anchor Frank Vascarello’s introduction: “More people are carrying guns than ever before, but the crime rate remains low.” Imagine that.

Reporter Pat Kessler also treated more guns and less crime as paradoxical. Reporting on crime and guns has been infested with the “Fox Butterfield effect.” It is named after a New York Times reporter, who in November 2004 was surprised that:

The number of inmates in state and federal prisons rose 2.1 percent last year, even as violent crime and property crime fell.

Later, a puzzled Butterfield referred to “the paradox of a falling crime rate but a rising prison population.” Butterfield never considered the idea that fewer bad guys on the streets might lead to less crime.

The Butterfield effect as it applies to guns is the idea journalists are similarly reluctant to accept that armed citizens can better protect themselves and others…

ICE Arrests 212 Illegals, Targets 122 Businesses In LA Sweep – Washington Times

Federal deportation officers staged one of the biggest enforcement actions in years against businesses in Los Angeles this week, arresting 212 people and serving audit notices to 122 businesses who will have to prove they aren’t hiring illegal immigrants.

Nearly all of those arrested were convicted criminals, according to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

ICE said it targeted Los Angeles because it’s a sanctuary city, meaning it refuses to fully cooperate with federal authorities on deportations from within its jails.

That means agents and officers have to go out into the community, said Thomas D. Homan, the agency’s deputy director.

“Fewer jail arrests mean more arrests on the street, and that also requires more resources, which is why we are forced to send additional resources to those areas to meet operational needs and officer safety,” Mr. Homan said…

Bloody, Drunk And Chronically Naked Man Hits Pregnant Nurse At North Georgia Hospital – WMAZ

Doctors in a north Georgia emergency room were forced to call police after one of their patients became unstable, combative – and naked more than once. According to a report filed by the Ellijay Police Department, officers were called to Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in the late night hours of Feb. 3.

Officers arrived speaking with District Attorney Office Investigator Greg Arp who was working off-duty detail at the hospital. There, they learned the initial details of what would become an odd night in the emergency room.

In room six was Roy Leon Davenport, an extremely intoxicated man who had been brought to them by ambulance. Officers walked in and found Davenport naked, bloody and cursing loudly at the off-duty investigator.

Apparently, some of that blood was from when he hit himself in the head with a beer bottle. What blood wasn’t running down his face was apparently in his mouth…

Dow Posts Best Weekly Gain Since 2016 Election, Erases Half Of Correction Losses – USA Today
.

.
The Dow posted its best weekly gain since the 2016 presidential election, a rebound that follows its biggest downturn in two years and signals that recent investor jitters over inflation have eased.

This past week’s gain of 4.3% for the Dow Jones industrial average comes after a volatile period during which the popular stock gauge suffered its first correction, or 10% drop, since February 2016. The Dow has now recouped about half of its losses suffered in the recent sell-off.

After weeks of worry on Wall Street that signs of rising inflation and a move higher in borrowing costs could impede the stock market’s rise, investment pros now believe a gradual rise in consumer prices and worker wages are not enough to offset the benefits of robust economic growth and improving corporate earnings…

Italians Aghast As Immigrants Barbecue Dog At Welcome Center – Breitbart

Animal rights activists are up in arms over attempts to barbecue a dog at an immigrant welcome center in southern Italy, with migrants insisting the practice is normal where they come from.

Members of the Carabinieri, an Italian military police force, intervened immediately after receiving a call from an employee of the center who had witnessed the scene of a 29-year-old Nigerian man intent on roasting a dog at the center in Vibo Valentia, in the Italian region of Calabria.

The man had succeeded in skinning and chopping up the canine and was in the process of grilling it for himself and some friends when he was stopped by law enforcement officers. The young woman who called the police also volunteers at a pro-animal organization in the area.

Explaining to police that such a practice is “normal where we come from,” the migrant insisted that he didn’t kill the dog but had found it dead by the side of the road and had decided to grill it. He also pleaded ignorance of Italian laws forbidding eating cats and dogs…

The left is a broken record when it comes to Islam. No matter how violent the action that is done in its name or by its people, the response is always the same: Islam is a peaceful religion. A report out Malaysia is just one more example that goes against this narrative.

Terrorist Plot Involving Bomb Making Teacher Foiled In New York City – Daily Wire

Twin brothers in New York City were charged on Thursday after law enforcement officials executed a search warrant at their apartment and found dozens of pounds of bomb-making materials and disturbing notes.

Christian Toro, who was a teacher up until December, and his brother, Tyler Toro, both face federal bomb-making counts; Christian Toro also faces a charge of distributing explosive materials to a minor, NBC New York reported.

Christian Toro was arrested in January on rape charges stemming from an alleged inappropriate relationship he was having with a female student where he taught in Manhattan’s Harlem neighborhood.

Christian Toro resigned his job from the school in December after the student called in a threat. NBC New York notes: After he (Christian Toro) resigned, Tyler Toro returned Christian Toro’s school-issued laptop to the school…

Before Nikolas Cruz carried out his mass killing at a Florida high school this week, police responded to his home 39 times over a seven-year period, according to disturbing new documents.

Details about the calls to the Broward County Sheriff’s Office – obtained from police records by CNN – were not immediately available and it was impossible to determine if all involved Cruz.

But the nature of the emergencies at his Parkland home included “mentally ill person,” “child/elderly abuse,” “domestic disturbance” and “missing person,” KTLA reported. And a schoolmate, Brody Speno, told the network that cops were called to Cruz’s home “almost every other week.”…

CNN’s Primetime Ratings Drop 30 Percent From Same Time Last Year – Daily Caller

The ratings are in for CNN, and they don’t look great.

According to AdWeek, CNN “was – 30 percent in total prime time viewers, and – 23 percent in total day viewers from last year” for the week of February 5-11.

CNN did not even crack the top 10 for primetime viewers on cable, while its competitors’, MSNBC and Fox News, were number two and number one, respectively.

The network’s commentators and guests have often been critical of President Trump. On air, he has been compared to a communist or fascist dictator and someone with Alzheimer’s.

Recently, a CNN reporter went to Iowa to talk to Trump voters, many of whom dismantled the network’s Russia coverage, calling the Russia investigation a “political witch hunt from the get-go” and a “disgrace.”

Flu Shot 36 Percent Effective In Adults This Year – Washington Examiner
.

.
The flu shot is 36 percent effective in adults this winter, while getting young children vaccinated for the flu can make them 59 percent less likely to become infected and have to go to the doctor, federal health officials said Thursday.

The number of children who died from the flu climbed to 63 this past week, and additional deaths are expected to be announced soon. Three out of four children who died had not been vaccinated.

“We continue to recommend parents get their children vaccinated even though it’s fairly late in the season,” said Anne Schuchat, acting director at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The latest estimates come as officials say that this flu season has hosted certain virus strains that tend to cause more illness than others.

No, There Have Not Been 18 School Shootings So Far In 2018 – Siraj Hashmi

What we saw at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla., is no less shocking and horrific than every school shooting we’ve seen since Columbine in 1999. Seventeen people were killed at the hands of 19-year-old shooting suspect Nikolas Cruz, who was expelled from the school and banned from returning to campus.

It’s the type of shooting that makes you sick to your stomach.

You want to get all the facts and gather all the information that you can to ensure that a tragedy such as this never happens again. However, the media has been trying to convince you that these types of shootings where there are mass casualties are happening every day.

It all began on Wednesday when reporting on the developments at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, MSNBC host Brian Williams said that this was the 12th school shooting of 2018. Ever since then, the talking point was corrected in that there were actually 18 school shootings in 45 days…

A left-wing referendum from Gov. Jerry Brown may result in California prisons allowing more than 10,000 sex offenders to get back onto the streets.

Sacramento County Superior Court Judge Allen Sumner is being forced to adhere to Proposition 57, an arbitrary measure from Brown that orders all California prisons to consider early parole for non-violent offenders.

Brown’s measure also allows for those convicted of incest, child pornography, of using minors in sex practices will be eligible for early release. Brown initially promised voters he would not allow non-violent sex offenders to get early parole, but his measure could result in tens of thousands of sex offenders getting out of jail early across the entire state…

DOJ Official Bruce Ohr Hid Wife’s Fusion GPS Payments From Ethics Officials – Daily Caller

Bruce Ohr, the Department of Justice official who brought opposition research on President Donald Trump to the FBI, did not disclose that Fusion GPS, which performed that research at the Democratic National Committee’s behest, was paying his wife, and did not obtain a conflict of interest waiver from his superiors at the Justice Department, documents obtained by The Daily Caller News Foundation show.

The omission may explain why Ohr was demoted from his post as associate deputy attorney general after the relationship between Fusion GPS and his wife emerged and Fusion founder Glenn Simpson acknowledged meeting with Ohr. Willfully falsifying government ethics forms can carry a penalty of jail time, if convicted.

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) hired Fusion GPS to gather and disseminate damning info about Trump, and they in turn paid Nellie Ohr, a former CIA employee with expertise in Russia, for an unknown role related to the “dossier.”…

Feds To Repeal 298 Tax Regulations – Washington Free Beacon

The Treasury Department plans to eliminate nearly 300 outdated tax regulations, getting tax rules off the books that in some cases have not applied since the 1940s.

The department announced its proposal to eliminate unnecessary tax regulations this week, in compliance with two executive orders signed by President Donald Trump last year to reduce regulatory burdens and simplify the tax code.

“We continue our work to ensure that our tax regulatory system promotes economic growth,” said Secretary Steven Mnuchin. “These 298 regulations serve no useful purpose to taxpayers and we have proposed eliminating them.”

“I look forward to continuing to build on our efforts to make the regulatory system more efficient and effective,” he said.

Executive Order 13789, signed last April, instructs the Treasury to “bring clarity” to the tax code and identify all tax regulations that “impose an undue financial burden on United States taxpayers,”…

Monday’s Tax Receipts Would Pay For Entire Border Wall – CNS

The $18.477 billion in tax revenues the federal government collected on Monday, according to the Daily Treasury Statement, is more than enough to cover the $18 billion that President Donald Trump is requesting in his new budget proposal for building a wall along the U.S-Mexico border.

“The budget reflects the president’s commitment to fully securing the border by providing $18 billion to fund construction of the border wall,” Mulvaney’s said. “With the Bipartisan Budget Act now the law, the administration is seeking to fully fund the border wall in FY 2018 and FY 2019.”

Fauxcahontas Makes Surprise Appearance At Native American Conference, Plays Victim – Daily Wire

On Wednesday, Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) sent some presidential smoke signals with a surprise appearance at the National Congress of American Indians. There, she attempted to rebut the accusations that she fabricated Native American heritage for personal gain – she still claims she has Cherokee ancestry, without a shred of evidence to support the contention, and she likely used that fake ancestry to win a post at Harvard Law School.

In the past, she’s defended her supposed ancestry by pointing to her “high cheekbones” and her recipe submission in Pow Wow Chow. Yes, really. So, before the NCAI, Warren decided to play victim. As usual.

This time, she suggested that President Trump’s playful label, “Pocahontas” – which is actually a botched version of the original joke about Warren, Fauxcahontas – was racism…

John Kasich another Democrat in training

Oh no, John Kasich has butthurt, and the only cure is more gun control

Kasich said the students from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla., who have been speaking out for more gun control after 17 students were killed Wednesday, are right and should be taken seriously by Congress.

Ok Governor,  two queries here. First are those kids right? Stats say no. More people in America are buying, and more are carrying firearms. Yet violent crime and homicide rates are still dropping. Millions of ARs have been sold, and the number used for evil purposes is exceedingly miniscule. The fact is, Governor, these kids are being used as propaganda tools by the left.

“If you’re a strong Second Amendment person, you need to slow down and take a look at reasonable things that can be done to answer these young people, and frankly, my hope is in the next generation,” he said.

OK, again name even one “responsible thing” Governor. If you want responsible things then why not call for better armed security? Perhaps urge local school districts to look into hiring retired military, police, or Secret Service personnel? Perhaps start a foundation that helps pay those who would be glad to protect kids? Maybe call for some of the wasteful spending to be rerouted to help offset the cost? Arming teachers who have carry permits and undergo active shooter training? No, nothing except “reasonable gun laws”? OK tell us the law that will actually do anything to stop the next schools hooting.

Kasich called on politicians to take a tough vote on gun control and possibly pay for it with their jobs. He said it’s politically risky, especially for Republicans who represent districts where gun rights are important.

“In life, when you have a set of values, which are loving our children or somebody else’s children, sometimes you have to put yourself at risk,” he said. “You put yourself at risk that you may not get re-elected. If you can move things forward in the name of peace in our country and you lose an election, we’ll give you a badge and a crown.”

To hell with crowns Governor. How about more politicians that actually seek something more than tired, useless rhetoric and talking points? How about this Governor, just sit down and shut up until you have an original idea? We have had enough bluster and political BS from grandstanding politicians.

Sheriff calls for common sense

He speaks the truth. Much better armed security is needed in schools

Snotty MSNBS contributor mocks the idea of self-defense

I write a lot about how collectivists hate the right to self-defense above all other liberties. Observe a perfect example

See, Americans dare to take self-defense seriously and view it as their responsibility. This guy, being a devoted collectivist is offended by individualism. Liberty? Not for him, and, if he had his way, not for you either. It matters not that hundreds of thousands of Americans use firearms in self-defense. Not to the guy who thinks toxic masculinity is is an actual thing. He hates any act, or ideal, that is rooted in individualism. Again, the divide between left and right boils down to collectivism vs individualism

FBI could have prevented Florida shooting, but…………

Wow, just wow

However, it looks like they’re now admitting they dropped the ball even worse than we initially thought (emphasis mine).

The FBI in January received a tip to a public reporting line that Nikolas Cruz might carry out a school shooting, but failed to pass the information to its Miami field office or investigate any further, authorities said Friday.

The bureau acknowledged the startling lapse in a statement, saying a person close to Cruz had contacted the bureau’s public access tip line on January 5 and “provided information about Cruz’s gun ownership, desire to kill people, erratic behavior, and disturbing social media posts, as well as the potential of him conducting a school shooting.” On Wednesday, Cruz killed 17 people at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla.

The bureau said the information “should have been assessed as a potential threat to life” and passed to the Miami field office, but was not, and “no further investigation was conducted at that time.”

In other words, the FBI was handed every single red flag possible, and they still didn’t do a blasted thing.

Why? What was so important that someone with the means, opportunity, and stated intention to launch a school shooting couldn’t be investigated?

FBI Director Christopher Wray said in a statement that the facts are still being investigated.

“I am committed to getting to the bottom of what happened in this particular matter, as well as reviewing our processes for responding to information that we receive from the public,” Wray said. “It’s up to all Americans to be vigilant, and when members of the public contact us with concerns, we must act properly and quickly.”

Blah, blah, blah. Wray sound like another politician here. Someone, screwed up, and badly. There is no excuse Tom Knighton at Bearing Arms sums up his feelings, and mine

Hell, I think I’d have an easier time swallowing this if they’d looked into it and just found the tip wasn’t credible. I could probably accept that. I’d still be upset about it, but people make mistakes like that far more often than I suspect we’d like to believe. At least the steps were followed in that case.

Here, they weren’t.

The FBI isn’t having a very good 2018, but at this point, I can’t really muster any ability to give a damn. I know there are good people who work for the FBI, and I know most agents are hard-working, dedicated public servants. But this is unconscionable. There is no way this should be allowed to slide.

There are 17 dead kids. There are 17 families mourning right now, and the FBI was given the information that might have stopped the murders, and they didn’t even make a phone call, apparently.

Amen. It is one thing to try and fail. But to not even try?

Feelings vs thinking the war on critical thinkers

Have you noticed how many people cannot think these days? Prioritizing? Forget about it. Thinking rather than reacting emotionally? No way! Common sense? Bah! Why is this? I would wager that there are so many more people like that today for one reason. More people go to college today. And college is being used by the left to educate, illuminate, indoctrinate students.

Via Moonbattery

Social justice warriors cannot fight white supremacy by making white people uncomfortable with information, because factual knowledge is racist. Good thing they have a weapon easier to wield — “emotion as knowledge”:

Writing in the journal Whiteness and Education, [University of New Mexico] Research Assistant Professor Hope Kitts argues that “valuing emotion as knowledge” is a key way professors can promote social justice, especially if and when students are made to feel “uncomfortable.”

Making students uncomfortable is a key strategy during the process of “interrogating whiteness” and “deconstructing hegemonic white identity,” she writes, asserting that the approach could be carried out in any class, regardless of subject matter.

Math, physics, foreign languages, you name it. The issue is never the issue; the issue is always the revolution. Woke professors only teach one subject: moonbattery.

By encouraging discomfort in white students, Kitts hopes they will eventually develop “a white identity that itself is critical of whiteness,” which she considers necessary for the eventual dismantling of white supremacy.

In short she supports brainwashing and indoctrinating students to educating them. Thinkers? They must be brow-beaten, shamed and re-educated into emotionalistic robots. Thinking is very dangerous to the radical tenets of leftism. So, for leftism to move forward thinking and contemplation, not to mention knowledge must be replaced by guilt, bitterness, and self-hatred.

In short emotion must be the first reaction. Questioning what you hear? Who needs that? Someone calls Republicans racists? Just react emotionally, become outraged Don’t consider any ideological position or policies just put your mob mentality social justice warrior cape on and rant baby! Someone starts telling you we need “common sense gun laws” don’t question what laws they would support. Do not consider constitutional rights. Don’t you dare do any research about the issue. No, no, just emote baby! We don’t need no stinking facts, research, or thinking!

Your Bat Shit Crazy Moment of the Day

Via Moonbattery, who has found the ultimate victim

A London makeup artist of uncertain gender named Umber Ghauri whimpers that he/she/it has piteously crawled to the top of the P.C. caste system by declaring himself/herself/itself to be a “Pakistani Muslim, queer, disabled person”:

I’m not a lesbian, I’m pansexual. I’m not trans in a traditional sense but I have a complex relationship with gender. I’m not disabled visibly or disabled all the time, but I experience disability. I’m not an immigrant but I’m brown.

All this ambiguity positions Umber as even more oppressed than other Persons of Oppressedness. This gives Umber the authority to crybully fellow members of the weirdo community for being ableist:

LGBTQ+ initiatives often have little funding, so step free access can seem like a luxury. But for people who require step free access, it is a necessity. Even if a space has step free access, there may not be accessible transport available – and it doesn’t stop there. LGBTQ+ communities have been built around nightlife and activism, and if you’re disabled, protests, marches, and club nights are not usually accessible. These spaces therefore become, more often than not, disappointingly exclusive.

Then Umber gripes that “women are often excluded from LGBTQ+” spaces. Between that and the remark about not being a lesbian, it appears we can start using female pronouns, despite her “complex relationship with gender.”

Umber says she is also marginalized because she suffers from mental illness. Anyone surprised?

Then she complains that “being disabled means many of us choose to do sex work,” which is insensitively stigmatized. Whether Umber is actually a prostitute or merely identifies with prostitutes for the purpose of whining is unclear.

Good Freaking Grief!
