It was the line from The Godfather that will never be forgotten: “I’m gonna make you an offer you can’t refuse.” The Chicago thugocracy of Barack Hussein Obama took that tactic with health insurance companies to make them swallow Obamacare in the first place, and is now quietly bribing them to “postpone” rate hikes scheduled to come out right before the midterms.
According to Forbes.com, ” Hidden in the midst of a 436-page regulatory update, and written in pure bureaucratese, the Department of Health and Human Services asked that insurance companies limit the looming premium increases for 2015 health plans. But don’t worry, HHS hinted: we’ll bail you out on the taxpayer’s dime if you lose money. No wonder there wasn’t a press release. The White House is playing politics with Americans’ health care – and they’re bribing health insurance companies to play along.”
Ok, let me clarify: the Obama administration has sneaked in a regulatory rule update asking health insurance companies not to do their job accurately if it means higher insurance premiums. After all Obama – aka Vito Corleone – stated Obamacare would bring about an average reduction of $2500 to healthcare premiums. Now, here is the offer the insurance companies can’t refuse: “even if you’re losing money, we’ll square it away for you” – with taxpayer dollars of course.
So in the long run, the hard-working American middle-income family gets screwed either way! Either they’ll have to pay higher premiums or pay the government through higher taxes – such as Obama’s desired higher gas taxes – in order to compensate the insurance companies. And here we thought Obama REALLY didn’t like those insurance companies.
Now, silly me, I thought bribery was a felony offense. Oops, there I go again using logic and common sense when assessing the Obama administration – heck, they’re having problems with computer hard drives, bribery is just par for the course.
And to think the Washington Post just gave President Obama three more “pinocchios” for lying. Nah, none of this matters – it’s certainly not “impeachable.” It’s just liberal progressive socialist politics as usual – fear, intimidation, coercion, lies and deception. Can you imagine what would be happening if this were a revelation occurring under a Republican president?
But be careful, you don’t want to be accused of racial animus because you’re questioning the president’s bribery policy. And I don’t think the U.S. Department of Justice will be investigating this, do you?
Why is all of this happening now? Why it’s simple. There’s an election coming in November 2014 and the last thing Obama, his personal consigliere Valerie Jarrett and the Democrats want is for 2015 healthcare insurance premium increases to be announced in September. And Obama accuses everyone else of playing politics.
As Forbes reports, “typically, insurance companies release their premium rates between summer and early fall – i.e., right before voters cast their ballots in November. If premiums skyrocket—which looks increasingly likely – then voters won’t look too kindly on Senators and Representatives who voted for Obamacare and created this problem. Hence the White House’s desperate damage control. It almost worked: No one noticed when the regulations were first released. In fact, it took days for any news outlet to find the language and then translate it into readable English. TownHall.com figured it out first. The Los Angeles Times then reported that “hold[ing] down premium increases for next year” is a “top priority” for President Obama since “rates will be announced ahead of this fall’s congressional elections.” Wow, give the LA Times a Scooby Snack for getting that one right!
Forbes says “even if the healthcare insurance industry doesn’t want to play along, it’s still in these companies’ best interests to assent to the administration’s “request.” Under Obamacare, insurers are so heavily regulated that they have to play nice with the bureaucrats who call the shots. The president isn’t the only government official who carries a big stick. If insurance companies don’t give in, regulators have powerful ways to make life hard for them. A shrewd CEO doesn’t need to look far to see what might happen if his company opts out. This administration already has a reputation for strong-arming dissenting businesses in other industries.”
Don’t believe how bad it could be? Just ask the coal industry and the small community banks. Of course, this will once again be dismissed and the White House may still get away with its attempted sleight of hand. Technically, the regulations don’t force health insurance companies to hold down their premium increases. But the White House isn’t asking nicely. Does it ever?
If the GOP can awake from its stupor and acknowledge the other side doesn’t play nice, perhaps they’ll start winning elections. This is the politics of Moose and Rocco, and exactly what Americans consented to when they voted to have Chicago come to Washington D.C.
P.S. Hillary is from Chicago too.
We’ve frequently addressed the mounting evidence showing the deep ties between the Obama administration and the Muslim Brotherhood. In fact, just recently we reported on Mohammed Elibiary’s tweets about America being an Islamic country – he just happens to be an Obama administration advisor on Homeland Security with ties to the Muslim Brotherhood.
As par for the course, liberal progressives prefer to put their heads in the sand and dismiss the growing evidence – like this particular story, for instance.
According to the Gulf News, cooperation between the Obama administration and the Muslim Brotherhood has been going on for quite some time. In 2010 even before the “Arab Spring,” Obama personally issued Presidential Study Directive 11 (PSD-11) to assess the Muslim Brotherhood and other “political Islamist” movements, including the ruling AKP in Turkey. The report concluded the United States should shift from its longstanding policy of supporting “stability” in the Middle East and North Africa (in other words, supporting “stable regimes” even if they were authoritarian), to a policy of backing “moderate” Islamic political movements.”
Just go back and review the speeches Obama gave in 2009 to the Turkish General Assembly and at Cairo University in Egypt and you’ll get the sense that President Obama wasn’t taking the Islamist threat seriously – or at least didn’t think there was anything wrong with it.
Gulf News says, “to this day, PSD-11 remains classified, in part because it reveals an embarrassingly naïve and uninformed view of trends in the Middle East and North Africa (Mena) region.”
If you need a little refresher about the Muslim Brotherhood’s ultimate goals – or still refuse to acknowledge it – take a quick read of their Explanatory Memorandum.
According to Gulf News, “through an ongoing Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit, thousands of pages of documentation of the US State Department’s dealings with the Muslim Brotherhood are in the process of being declassified and released to the public. US State Department documents obtained under the FOIA confirm that the Obama administration maintained frequent contact and ties with the Libyan Muslim Brotherhood. At one point, in April 2012, US officials arranged for the public relations director of the Libyan Muslim Brotherhood, Mohammad Gaair, to come to Washington to speak at a conference on “Islamists in Power” hosted by the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.”
Don’t you find it interesting that the Obama administration unilaterally made the decision to engage in military operations in Libya? And don’t give me the NATO line because the U.S. is NATO. President Obama violated the War Powers Act – something where Dennis Kucinich and I stood together – and committed U.S. military resources in support of Islamist militia. It was also the same Obama who praised the rise of Mohammed Morsi – formerly an imprisoned Muslim Brotherhood member – as the President of Egypt but did not recognize the more than 30 million Egyptians who took to the streets for the ouster of Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood. And the Obama administration is still wound up about Egypt cracking down on the Brotherhood, as Kerry’s spokesman clarified.
Gulf News reveals the contents of a State Department Cable classified “Confidential” report saying in April 2012, Mission Benghazi met with a senior member of the Muslim Brotherhood steering committee to discuss the Muslim Brotherhood’s decision to form a political party as both an opportunity and an obligation in post-revolution Libya after years of operating underground.”
“Another State Department paper marked “Sensitive But Unclassified (SBU)” contained talking points for Deputy Secretary of State William Burns’ scheduled July 14, 2012 meeting with Mohammad Sawan, the Muslim Brotherhood leader who was also head of the Brotherhood’s Justice and Construction Party. The document is heavily redacted, but nevertheless provides clear indication of Washington’s sympathies for the emergence of the Muslim Brotherhood as a major political force in the post-Gaddafi Libya.”
And just for coincidental posterity, the July 14 meeting was attended by both Secretary Burns and Ambassador Christopher Stevens. Barely two months later, Ambassador Stevens and three other American diplomats were dead.
I know Speaker of the House, John Boehner, is pursuing a lawsuit against President Obama for constitutional power usurpation. I think we need to be looking under another rock – the one of aiding and abetting the enemy that leads to high crimes and misdemeanors. The Obama administration’s collusion with the Muslim Brotherhood is just that – and could easily be seen as treasonous.

Allen West nails it, and yes I have said this months ago. These knockout games, and other Black on White violent attacks do not fit the narrative of the Left, but the first time someone with a concealed weapon fights back, the race pimps will leap with both feet! Video at the link,
GRETA VAN SUSTEREN, FOX NEWS HOST: ON THE RECORD has been reporting on these violent attacks all week but few community leaders and few in the media are willing to talk about it. As we talk about this spreading crime, take a look of a few of the attacks caught on camera so you know what to look out for.
Congressman West, this horrible game, you know, first of all, it’s a group of people — a gang might not be the right word. And after it’s done, everybody laughs at doing it as the victim is lying there suffering. In some instances, even murder. But the question of race. Frankly, so far, it’s been African-Americans, as far as I can see, on whites. I don’t know if it’s completely that way but that’s what we have seen.
WEST: That’s true. That’s exactly what you are seeing. This talks of the state of depravity that is in the black community right now. Again, where are these black leaders that should be talking about this breakdown? Where are the parents? Where are the guardians of the black community to say this is unacceptable behavior?
Now, this is what is going to end up happening. At some point in time, one of the people that’s going to be attacked is going to have a concealed weapons license. They are going to draw down and, unfortunately, someone is going to get shot. Then what is going to happen? You will hear all of the rhetoric coming out from the Al Sharptons and Jesse Jacksons that this unarmed black teenager was shot and killed and assaulted, when right now they should be out there stopping this so we don’t get to this point.
VAN SUSTEREN: They have been silent. And the president, attorney general also role models in the African-American community, but one —
WEST: This doesn’t fit their political narrative.
VAN SUSTEREN: Obviously, the ones who do it, they’re criminals, arrest them, process them or whatever. Those who laugh may be aiders and abettors, has encouraging them, deal with them, too.
The thing that concerns me, a lot of these communities have 12 and 13- year-olds who look up to older people in the community. There is always the peer pressure. If we don’t stop this now — sort of immaturity of a 13-year-old — is a 13-year-old going to follow suit and do something really stupid, have the person die or end up in prison, and no one is speaking out to try to stop this now.
WEST: Well, you have already seen this happen. Think about down in Brunswick, Georgia, where the two black teenagers shot the white baby in the face. And so now that’s, again, a life that has been lost because no one intervened and no one tried to get in those communities. You have got a breakdown. It’s not just the family. It’s the education opportunities, job opportunities. We should not have these roving gangs out there saying, we are going to knock someone out just for fun. They should be studying.
VAN SUSTEREN: One attacker, I should tell you, in Michigan, was shot. So we are seeing a little bit of that already.
What should President Obama do, if anything? I mean, is there anything? Would making a statement or putting this out as public dialogue, would that help?
WEST: It would help. You can’t just cherry-pick when you go in to intervene. You can’t look at the Skip Gates issue and say the police officers up there —
VAN SUSTEREN: Harvard.
WEST: Absolutely. Acted stupidly. You can’t jump in and say Trayvon Martin, or it could have been me or it could have been my son. Then you have these instances where you just complete (INAUDIBLE). I think this is an opportunity for him to show some leadership. But once again, it doesn’t fit that political narrative.
VAN SUSTEREN: How about Jesse Jackson and Reverend Sharpton? They can certainly draw attention. They can draw attention toward important issues. Why are they silent?
WEST: There’s no profit in it for them. There’s no political gain or political advantage for them. So why —
VAN SUSTEREN: How about helping these neighborhoods? This is terrorizing some of the inner-city neighborhoods.
WEST: They don’t care. They live off victimization. Therefore, as long as you have black communities that see themselves as victims, that helps to perpetuate their existence. Now, all of a sudden, if you jump in — why aren’t they saying anything in Chicago about the black-on-black crime? They don’t have a point in that. It doesn’t elevate them whatsoever. That’s why these guys should be totally irrelevant and should not be listened to whatsoever
West also makes a great point about the victim mentality that is helping destroy the Black community. It is truly despicable what the Left has done, and is still doing to Blacks in America. Jackson, Sharpton and much of the NAACP leadership give not the first damn about Black Americans. They care about getting richer, and that is it. In short these “leaders” are about the lowest form of life I can imagine. Talk about racists!
Former Rep. Allen West took to the media Thursday to give an assessment on the progression of the government shutdown, and President Obama’s leadership skills: He’s throwing a tantrum, acting like a “spoiled brat,” he said.
“I can put it in very basic Southern terms: a spoiled brat child,” Mr. West said, during an interview with Newsmax. “We have been giving Barack Obama everything that he has wanted. We gave him a state senator position in Chicago, we gave him a U.S. Senate position out of the state of Illinois, unproven, untested, no resume, we gave him the presidency twice.”
Former Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) said Wednesday that he may mount a primary challenge to Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) in their state’s 2016 U.S. Senate primary.
West told station WMAL that he could run for Senate “if I see people that are not taking our country down the right path, if I see people that are not standing up for the right type of principles, and putting their own party politics before what is best for the United States of America.”
Asked directly in he would rule out challenging Rubio, West responded, “Chirping… chirping… chirping.”
“We’ll see what happens down the pike,” he added. “God will set my feet on the right path.”
The one-term congressman, who narrowly lost re-election last year, acknowledged he would face an uphill battle.
“That’s a pretty heavy lift, because you’re talking about running against a sitting senator, and then, of course, that creates that schism that the other side would love to see happen,” said West.
But the former congressman said he had a “lot of concerns” over the comprehensive immigration reform proposal crafted by a bipartisan group – including Rubio – in the Senate.
“This whole ‘comprehensive’ thing – I think the bill now is up to 1,075 pages – Once again, the American people don’t trust that,” West said.

This is a very interesting interview between Allen West and Lee Kaplan on why our colleges have become so anti-Semitic and what we can do to fight it:
Allen West interviews investigative journalist and Israeli activist Lee Kaplan about anti-Semitism at American universities. Why is this happening? What can be done about it? And is the political left uniting with the Islamists on campus? Find out in this interesting conversation.
One of the last Election Day questions has been answered after two weeks of fumbling by official in St. Lucie County, Florida. The recanvasses and recount of the vote has left Rep. Allen West over 1900 votes short of victory, and early this morning West conceded the race to Patrick Murphy:
Florida Rep. Allen West – the tea party pugilist and face of the class of House Republicans that stormed to power two years ago – conceded Tuesday to 29-year-old construction executive Patrick Murphy in one of the nation’s highest-profile congressional races.
After two weeks of battle with St. Lucie County elections officials – and a recount of early votes that wound up extending Murphy’s lead – West acknowledged that he couldn’t surmount his 1,904-vote, or 0.58 percent, deficit. That difference was just outside the 0.5 percent threshold to automatically trigger a recount of all votes.
The West campaign sent out a lengthy statement by e-mail to the media this morning:
For two weeks since Election Day, we have been working to ensure every vote is counted accurately and fairly. We have made progress towards that goal, thanks to the dedication of our supporters and their unrelenting efforts to protect the integrity of the democratic process. While many questions remain unanswered, today I am announcing that I will take no further action to contest the outcome of this election.
While there are certainly still inaccuracies in the results, and the actions of the St. Lucie County and Palm Beach County Supervisors of Elections rightly raise questions in my mind and for many voters, after much analysis and this past weekend’s recount in St. Lucie County, our legal team does not believe there are enough over-counted, undercounted or fraudulent votes to change the outcome of the election.
While a contest of the election results might have changed the vote totals, we do not have evidence that the outcome would change. Given the extremely high evidentiary hurdles involved in a successful challenge, I will not ask my generous supporters to help fund a drawn-out, expensive legal effort with little chance of success. Therefore, we will not contest the certification or challenge the seating of Congressman-elect Murphy.
West also hinted that Florida voters haven’t seen the last of him:
Only God knows what is in store for each of us. I have dedicated my life to serving this nation, and the results of this election will not change my purpose. Just as I did in the deserts of Iraq and Afghanistan, just as I did on Capitol Hill, I will continue to fight for our Republic.
At the very least, West will have more time now to work with grassroots conservatives in organizing opposition to Democratic policies. West has been a star at events like CPAC and Tea Party rallies and conventions, and that will only increase after this tough loss. Don’t be too surprised if West challenges Murphy in 2014, when Barack Obama’s campaign isn’t around to drive turnout and the incumbent President typically loses seats in Congress. This race was narrow enough that even just a little buyer’s remorse could make the difference in two years.
UPDATE 4: The SOE has closed down for the night with the hand count of the 304 found ballots unfinished. Hawkes relays that everyone on site except for SOE staff and law enforcement have been forced out of the building, and the count is scheduled to resume tomorrow at 8 AM. No vote totals have been given to the public yet. The early vote ballots have been sealed. No word on the hand-counted ballots.
The reason given for the early closure is that the building where the recount is taking place has an alarm system that automatically arms at 11 PM. Pro-West advocates claim that the same facility has been used in the past weeks as late as 2 AM. Hawkes and her contacts find it hard to believe that over 37,000 ballots were counted in twelve hours, but 304 more could not be completed in two.
West supporters on the ground describe their experience through the entire recount process as an emotional roller coaster. The county originally granted a recount of only the last three days of early voting. On Friday, Judge Dan Vaughn denied West’s request for a recount of the previous five days; the SOE superseded the decision the same day.
UPDATE 3: A witness at the scene told Hawkes “as each machine is emptied, all ballots are placed in a new box, taped, secured, and signed off by two police officers who stand right there and watch.” The votes will then be undisputably recorded in the case of a district-wide recount.
Around 40 West supporters are on site waiting for the results and six Murphy supporters. Though it will not affect the outcome, the West camp remains confident, because “in every recount that has happened West has gained votes.”
UPDATE 2: BNN’s source Hawkes reports the early vote retabulation has been completed.
County operatives have begun to count the 304 lost ballots by hand, and the Supervisor of Elections (SOE) has begun uploading data from the voting machines’ memory cards – a process that takes roughly an hour to complete. Representatives from both sides are monitoring the process. The final vote count is expected at midnight eastern time.
Original story continues below:
Congressman Allen West may gain enough votes to trigger a full recount of the Nov. 6 election results, which initially went for Democrat Patrick Murphy, sources monitoring the race in Florida’s Congressional District 18 have told Breitbart News.
The St. Lucie County Canvassing Board voted 2-1 Friday to grant West a recount of early votes cast within the county from October 27th to November 3rd. The county rejected an injunction from Murphy’s campaign to stop the recount Saturday afternoon, reports Elizabeth Hawkes, CEO of Youth for Palin, Inc. The recount will be completed at 8 PM EST Saturday.
John Swetland, a spokesperson for Allen West Republic, a group not affiliated with the official West campaign, claimed a number of lost ballots would be included in the recount of early votes.
“Last night they found 304 more missing ballots – that is, in addition to all the other errors throughout the week, but of that I do not have an accurate number that I’d be comfortable quoting,” Swetland stated. “Also, while awaiting the verdict by the canvassing board the public in attendance was informed that the box of uncounted missing ballots had been found, the location was reported to us as being in the corner of a school gymnasium.”
The official count of the results in St. Lucie County were 52,672 votes for West and 65,567 for Murphy – a difference of 12,895. If the partial recount decreases Murphy’s lead by just 254 votes, to a lead below 12,641, that will trigger an automatic recount across the entire district – Martin, Palm Beach, and St. Lucie counties.
This is a breaking news update. Breitbart News will announce the results of the partial recount as soon as they are available.
UPDATE: TCPalm confirms the Murphy injunction’s rejection.
The Allen West for Congress campaign has now filed suit in St. Lucie County to have all early votes recounted and to hold of certification of the election results until the recount is completed:
FOX NEWS – Florida Rep. Allen West said Tuesday he filed a circuit court complaint challenging the official result of his race, which ended with him losing re-election by 2,442 votes.
The lawsuit asks the St. Lucie County court for a preliminary injunction that would order election officials to recount early votes in the state’s 18th Congressional District and refrain from certifying the results until the process in complete.
He was also on with Mark Levin tonight where not only mentioned the above lawsuit, but made clear this election isn’t about a West victory, but about a fair electoral process that the people in his district can trust:
This is about us asking questions. This is about us making sure that the 22 years I spent in uniform to serve this great nation – I took an oath to the Constitution to support and defend it. And I want to make sure that that oath that I continue to serve under means something. It is about, like I said, the honor and the integrity of our electoral process.
And I know that there are people out there that are Democrats or liberals that are listening and their whooping and hollering. You know, if you want me gone that’s fine. But do not do it at the expense of the voters in Congressional district 18. All I am asking for is a fair and equitable elections process and let the results come out where they may.
Listen to the full interview below:
Gary Jackson asks about these boxes of military ballots in Allen West’s district down in Florida
As you know, the democrat party is working feverishly to steal the election in Florida. Specifically Allen West’s seat. It just doesn’t do for a powerful black Conservative to have a voice in Washington. He might convince those enslaved by the democrat party to join him!
Tanya Grimsley tweeted a photo of military ballots just sitting in boxes, that have never been counted. We know the military votes heavily Republican, which explains why the Florida democrats don’t want them counted.
On Tuesday only one precinct had less than 113% turnout. “The Unofficial vote count is 175,554 registered voters 247,713 vote cards cast (141.10%). The National SEAL Museum, a St. Lucie county polling place, had 158.85% voter turn out, the highest in the county.”
The Supervisor of Elections, Gertrude Walker, had this to say concerning the 141% voter turnout: “They may have had something like that in Palm Beach County, but we’ve never seen that here.”
So maybe Allen West wasn’t crazy to ask for a lock-down on the ballot boxes and machines in this county. According to the report given the day after elections, Allen B. West garnered 52,625 votes in St.Lucie county and Patrick Murphy 65,896 votes.
This is a problem that must be addressed right away. There is no reason that there should ever be more than 100% turnout. This county alone could have cost Allen West his election. Voter fraud is real, and it is time that this be solved.
