Give Maher credit here for understanding the meaning of FREEDOM of speech
….Chris “Crazy Legs” Matthews. Yes, really
Matthews Takes Break from Calling Opponents Racist to Lecture America on Civility
Okay, that headline is a little misleading. MSNBC host Chris Matthews never really took a break from calling his opponents racists and paranoids while engaging on a media blitz promoting his book about civility and amity in politics.
Just for kicks, let us review some of the civility Matthews practices
They’re “almost traitors,” Matthews said of conservatives who believe that the Internal Revenue Service, an agency created in 1913 and which recently admitted to targeting conservative groups in order to limit their political efficacy, should be abolished. “First of all, the right-wing are crazy,” he said in June. “What they’re saying about getting rid of the IRS is insane.”
“It seems there’s a very interesting compelling continuing effort to delegitimize this president,” theMSNBC host added in August. His evidence: conservatives who refer to Obama as “Obama.”
They refer to him as ‘Obama.’ They don’t say the ‘the president.’ They don’t say the ‘a law.’ They don’t even speak the language we normally speak in civilized political debate.”
“When are we going to have the book we’ve been waiting for, Killing O’Reilly?” Matthews said in October, jokingly envisioning the assassination of a rival cable news host with whom he disagrees. This moment was particularly satisfying. Matthews made this statement while appearing on HBO with Bill Maher to promote his book on civility.
“I think it’s hatred,” Matthews opined while summarizing the thinking that motivates conservatives in Congress this week. “I don’t think it’s politics.” Just yesterday, perturbed with conservatives who dare refer to themselves as “the American people” while justifying their opposition to the president’s programs, “Do they still count blacks as three-fifths?”
And those are only a few of his nasty personal and partisan attacks.
Civility he says…………..
Smitty suggest Janet Napolitano might run if………
So, what happens if Hillary Clinton doesn’t run in 2016?
It is hard to imagine the presidential field without a woman contender, and here’s one to keep your eye on: Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano. Napolitano is quietly making it known that she is considering the race, and there is reason to take her seriously.
Yeah, I can see the GOP, Tea Partiers, and basically anybody else with a functioning brain being more than a little motivated to work against Big Sis if she’s on the ticket.
Now, if she brings on Bill Maher as VP, would the double negative somehow work?
Napolitano/Maher 2016? Or maybe I should say Dumber than a Tree Stump/Ultimate Douche Nozzle 2o16? And the campaign slogan would have to be If you See Something Say Something
I really find most boycotts distasteful, no matter who is calling for one. I hate it when Left-wing groups do it, I hate it when Conservatives do it. So this story, about a group of women stricken with Offendeditis, yes, conservatives can contract this malady just like Liberals can, who are demanding we boycott J.C. Penney because they had Ellen DeGeneres do a commercial for them, she is a Lesbian you know, is pathetic. Who she sleeps with is her business. I remember catching some of her show, a few years ago. She had one of George W. Bush’s daughters on, and treated her very well. She seems like a decent person to me, what skin is it off my nose if she is a spokesperson for a store I sometimes shop at?
Donald Douglas has the commercial, that has so offended a group calling themselves One Million Moms, how original.
What is offensive about this ad? Nothing, but, the mere fact that DeGeneres is playing for the other team offends this group. So it is boycott time! Give me a break! This is more like look at us time
A J. C. Penney Christmas commercial featuring openly gay talk show host Ellen DeGeneres has angered a Christian group called One Million Moms, which called for a boycott of the retailer.
“JCP has made their choice to offend a huge majority of their customers again,” the group said in a statement. “Christians must now vote with their wallets.”
“We have contacted J C Penney’s several times in the past with our concerns, and they will not listen,” the statement continued. “They have decided to ignore our complaints and so we will avoid them at all costs.”
The group — which is affiliated with the ultraconservative American Family Assn. — has criticized J. C. Penney several times this year for ads or commercials including lesbian or gay people.
In February, One Million Moms urged shoppers to boycott Penney’s after the company first named DeGeneres as a spokeswoman, but later dropped the campaign after several critics, including Fox News host Bill O’Reilley, attacked the group’s efforts.
Oh they are afilliated with the AFA, that explains a lot. Groups like these strike me as people who like to think that everything on TV ought to be pre-approved by them. You can hit their website and check out the things that outrage them. Many of the alerts I saw were asinine frankly. Sorry, folks, but EVERYTHING on TV is not going to be for children. They are no better than the politically correct Liberals who want to shut up anyone who says things they do not like. They strike me as overly sensitive and whiny, two things that are a big part of what is wrong with America. There are many channels, many shows, many movies, many choices. If you do not like something then change the channel, it is not difficult!
So, I am sure I have now offended some Social Conservatives, and that is OK. I am more of a person that believes that in a free society, we are going to be offended sometimes. When a place of business offends me in some way, I do not call for a boycott, I simply do not go back. When I see something I do not like on TV, I change the channel. When Bill Maher, or any of the MSNBS hosts say something twisted and despicable, and that is pretty much anytime they open their mouths, I do not try to launch a campaign to get them fired. Why would I they have a right to free speech too. And I enjoy using MY free speech to go after their ideologies. And yes, the One Million Easily Offended Moms have a right to call for a boycott, no matter how distasteful it is to me. See how it works?
None other than the talent-deprived short guy, no not Bill Maher, the OTHER talent-deprived short guy, Kanye West, or as I refer to him, little bitch!
Rapper Kanye West, who has had his brushes with politics, stepped into the 2012 race with a biting comment directed toward Mitt Romney.
“I’m just trying to protect my stacks,” West raps on “To the World,” the opening track on the forthcoming album Cruel Summer. “Mitt Romney don’t pay no tax.”
What an absolute tool.
You know, I, and many others would pay money to watch that too. the Daily Caller has the audio and transcript
Maher is a little guy, with a big mouth, which can be a bad combination if the little man flaps his gums to a big guy who is less than even tempered. Recently on Conan O’Brien’s show, Maher revealed something about himself, that I have long suspected.
Appearing as a guest on Tuesday’s Conan show on TBS, HBO comedian Bill Maher absurdly suggested the recent allegations that Mitt Romney engaged in “bullying” in high school are worse than being molested by Michael Jackson, and asserted that he would be willing trade being beat up in grade school for being “gently masturbated by a pop star.”
Maher also again attacked Mormonism and religion generally, using uncensored vulgarity, and seemed to hold Romney responsible for the polygamy of his grandfather.
The Real Time host brought up Michael Jackson to suggest that Romney had behaved worse than a child molester:
But as far as this bullying, you know, this made me think of the Michael Jackson situation. Because, you know, he was accused of being a child molester. We’ll never know because he’s gone, but even his worst accuser never said that he did anything like actually have sex with them. It was grabby, grabby under the covers. Which is terribly wrong.
However, when I was 12 years old, I was beaten on the playground. Just like the Mitt Romney thing, I was held down and somebody just punched me in the face while other kids watched. And if I could go back to 1968 and trade that experience for being gently masturbated by a pop star
Yep, I know that Maher is a despicable pig, who is, in this case, making light of children being molested. Yes, I know how that enrages anyone with a shred of moral decency. He is a waste of skin. But, I have long seen something in Maher. Some deeply held bitterness, a feeling of inferiority that seems to pour out every time he speaks. Maybe it was on that playground, long ago, when little Billy got his ass kicked that such bitterness began. Maybe that helps to explain why he is such a prick? Maybe, just maybe, this also explains why he seeks to demean others? Maybe Maher the child never got over that playground beating. Maybe Maher the adult never has either?
Not that I am in any way excusing Maher, there is no defense for people like him. In fact, I would wager that Maher received his beat down for something he said. Maybe he was a punk with a big mouth way back then. And maybe I am just being mean here but, I would like to think that kid who beat up Maher, was a girl, a girl named Sarah, a pretty girl, with glasses, and who told Maher “you betcha” as she smacked him!
Dan Savage, who apparently has not one ounce of class is an odd person to be lecturing anyone on bullying, unless, of course he is teaching a how to course. Breitbart has more
Dan Savage has personally insulted virtually every Republican candidate for higher office. Last year, Savage said on Bill Maher’s show, “I wish the Republicans were all f***ing dead.”
But he saved some special vitriol for Herman Cain. When Cain stated that he thought that homosexual activity was a choice in October 2011, Savage responded by telling Cain to “show us how a man can choose to be gay. Suck my dick, Herman.”
During 2009, Savage tried to coin the term “Saddlebacking” in order to target pro-Proposition 8 Saddleback Church Pastor Rick Warren; he defined the term as “the phenomenon of Christian teens engaging in unprotected anal sex in order to preserve their virginities.” Savage also said, “F— you, Utah,” since Mormons largely backed Proposition 8.
In 2006, Savage said that Green Party Senate candidate Carl Romanelli, who was running against Democrat Bob Casey (the eventual winner), “should be dragged behind a pickup truck until there’s nothing left but the rope.” Casey was so offended he refused Savage’s campaign donations.
This guy sounds like mommy and daddy never corrected him, or made him respect others. He acts like the classic bully, and he will continue to do so, and the Left will salivate over him. But one day, Dan Savage will over step his luck, and he will have his face punched in. And, then, he will cry about being a victim, and blame Homophobia.
No, not that ugly little men who are not funny can make it as comedians. No, not that no matter how many times Maher calls Mormonism a “cult” it is his audience that exemplifies brainwashed dolts.
In this clip, Maher says what so many Leftists love to say. America is so racist they say, it is part of our DNA, it is inherent in America, and so on. Yet if this nation were truly racist, we would never have elected a Black president. In fact, many people, of all races, voted for Obama strictly because he is Black.
The fact is that America IS the most tolerant and diverse nation on earth. Yet, to Leftists like Maher America is a bad, evil, and yes, racist country. And to these intellectual midgets, it always will be because, for the most part, people like Maher are far less “inclusive” than they claim. The Left tends to isolate themselves in their own world of pessimism, victim hood, class warfare, and bigotry.
The Left, loathes those that are not like them. Sure they claim tolerance and diversity as their own, but try finding an ounce of ideological diversity among the Left. The Left does not believe in diversity, not in the least. The Left believes in complete and utter ideological and political conformity to Leftist doctrine. And ask any “minority” that dares stray from that conformity how they are treated by the tolerant likes of Bill Maher.
Just kidding, blogging is good, although not ALL blogs, or bloggers are good, or worth your time. But, in general, I welcome new bloggers. And so, Bristol Palin is now blogging, as Smitty and Bob Belvedere note today. Smitty also notes that Palin is now more relevant than a certain other “blogger” you know, the one with the Massive Melons
And, instantly, becomes more important than “warmly conformly” Meghan McCain. See, Meghan: if you show some moral courage, despite life’s adversities, you too could eventually be worthy of respect.
Meghan McCain, of course might grow up enough one day to realize that she is not as “hip”as she thinks. Sure, the media fawns over her now.She says what the media wants her to say about Republicans. In other words, Meghan bashes Republicans while claiming to be one. Naturally, if Meghan ever dares to praise Conservatives, the media will turn on her. But, she is simply too naive to understand that.
As to Bristol Palin, one of her first posts covered the Left’s Selective Outrage Syndrome over women’s issues.
Dear President Obama,
You don’t know my telephone number, but I hope your staff is busy trying to find it. Ever since you called Sandra Fluke after Rush Limbaugh called her a slut, I figured I might be next. You explained to reporters you called her because you were thinking of your two daughters, Malia and Sasha. After all, you didn’t want them to think it was okay for men to treat them that way:
“One of the things I want them to do as they get older is engage in issues they care about, even ones I may not agree with them on,” you said. “I want them to be able to speak their mind in a civil and thoughtful way. And I don’t want them attacked or called horrible names because they’re being good citizens.”
And I totally agree your kids should be able to speak their minds and engage the culture. I look forward to seeing what good things Malia and Sasha end up doing with their lives.
But here’s why I’m a little surprised my phone hasn’t rung. Your $1,000,000 donor Bill Maher has said reprehensible things about my family. He’s made fun of my brother because of his Down’s Syndrome. He’s said I was “f—-d so hard a baby fell out.” (In a classy move, he did this while his producers put up the cover of my book, which tells about the forgiveness and redemption I’ve found in God after my past – very public — mistakes.)
If Maher talked about Malia and Sasha that way, you’d return his dirty money and the Secret Service would probably have to restrain you. After all, I’ve always felt you understood my plight more than most because your mom was a teenager. That’s why you stood up for me when you were campaigning against Sen. McCain and my mom — you said vicious attacks on me should be off limits.
Yet I wonder if the Presidency has changed you. Now that you’re in office, it seems you’re only willing to defend certain women. You’re only willing to take a moral stand when you know your liberal supporters will stand behind you.
Of course, that was the 2008 campaigning Obama. Trying to paint himself as a uniter, and non-partisan. That,of course, was all a facade, as I am sure Bristol Palin knows.
Good job, Bristol, and welcome
No, Rush really should not have called Fluke a slut, he should have called her a liar, but that is a different story. The point is,that Obama called Fluke to offer his support, Liberals all rushed to defend Fluke, yet,Obama accepted 1,000,000 dollars from Bill Maher. Hmmm, anyone want to take a stab at the incredibly offensive things Maher has said about many women, including Sarah Palin? Do I detect a bit of a double standard here? Of course I do,because Liberals suffer from Selective Outrage Syndrome. They express outrage when it suits them, and ONLY when it suits them. Just another example that illustrates that Liberalism is an ideology of convenience.
A liberal will feign outrage over Rush calling a woman a slut, but laugh when Maher calls Palin a Cunt over and over and over,or when Keith Olbermann calls Michelle Malkin a “mashed up bag of meat”, or when Ed Schultz calls Laura Ingraham terrible names.
The latest inanity from the mental midget that IS Bill Maher
Appearing on ABC’s “Good Morning America” to shill for his latest book, Bill Maher told George Stephanopoulos he’s rooting for Mitt Romney to win the Republican nomination. “At least he eats with a knife and fork. He is all that stands between us and the rise of the apes.”
What do you call a self-proclaimed funny man that is not funny? YEP!
Donald Douglas has the latest from Bill Maher, who, rather than debating Michelle Malkin, uses the crude sexual insult the Left is so well versed in. Stacy McCain offers up the obvious question. Is anyone slimier than Bill Maher?
“If you just presented the Republicans with Obama’s resume and didn’t say who it was, they would erect statues to this guy. He killed bin Laden, he killed Gaddafi, he saved us from a depression. I mean all, just, just the killing alone, Michelle Malkin would name her vibrator ‘Obama.’”
Why do Leftists like Maher always go back to crude sexual references? For ratings? Because they think it is cool, or makes them relevant? Maybe it is just because they are nasty cretins with the mental maturity of a mentally challenged 12-year-old? as I have said before Leftism is an ideology for the immature, and Bill Maher is certainly that! Maybe it is an ideology for the sexually dysfunctional as well?
Ah yes, the Green warrior himself, Bill Maher, is astounded when someone asks him if he is willing to “share the sacrifice” and walk the walk. Here is the transcript from Real Time
BILL MAHER, HOST: It seems like, you know, the idea of socialism and sacrifice and we’re all in it together, which is socialism is a very bad word in this country, but we had last weekend out here in something called Carmageddon where they closed the 405 and we thought it was going be horrible. But you know what? They educated the public, they asked them to help and participate, and they did, and it made me think maybe this could, crazy idea, maybe the idea of asking people to sacrifice and actually, you know, bringing them into the situation they would respond.
DONNA BRAZILE, DEMOCRAT STRATEGIST: Shared sacrifice.
NICK GILLESPIE, REASON TV: But what’s the sacrifice? I mean, just don’t use the 405 for a weekend.
MAHER: That’s true. It wasn’t a big sacrifice.
DONNA BRAZILE: But really, stay off the roads, walk, talk to your neighbor, you know, get around.
MAHER: Some of these things are not that difficult. I read in USA TODAY this week that if every American just gave up eating meat and cheese one day of the week, it would be the equivalent of saving 91 billion driving miles in a year.
GILLESPIE: It’s always great when somebody else is going to sacrifice because how many cars do you own?
MAHER: I own two.
GILLESPIE: Okay, so would you give up both of them?
MAHER: Both cars?
MAHER: Why would I have to give up both cars?
GILLESPIE: Would you give up your TV show? What’s the carbon footprint of this show? Maybe, can the world do without it?
Noel Sheppard offers a classic commentary on hypocrites like Maher, who, by the way NEVER answered that question.
Indeed. The carbon footprint associated with powering and producing a weekly television show must be huge.
It’s a metaphysical certitude that between Maher’s cars, his show, his air travel, and his palatial home in Los Angeles, he has a far greater carbon footprint than the overwhelming majority of people on this planet.
Yet, when asked to “sacrifice” for the greater good, he looked at Gillespie like the Libertarian was trying to steal his wallet.
This of course was the point of Peter Schweizer’s 2005 book “Do As I Say (Not As I Do)”: liberals like Maher are all for “shared sacrifice” as long as it doesn’t include them.
How inconvenient for the holier-than-thou “Real Time” host to have it so marvelously demonstrated on his own program for all the world to see.
Yes, the guy who got his butt whipped by the girls, and the janitors, and who acted like he was the smartest guy in school. Well, he is all grown up now, and his name is Bill Maher. And yes, he is till saying stupid things to get attention. And he has found an audience who are actually assbackwards enough to buy the BS Maher spews. Head over to Weasel Zippers to watch Maher’s latest escapade into ass hattery.
“The scariest thing, a guy of limited mental power, George W. Bush, talked this country [into the war in Iraq] . . . that’s the scariest part,” Chris Matthews said on HBO’s “Real Time” with host Bill Maher.
“This wasn’t Winston Churchill. This was a guy, about a little bit below average in ability and he talked this country into war.”
It always amazes me when people like Crazy Legs Matthews question anyone’s brain power. Matthews cannot think his way out of wet paper bag frankly. His ideological leanings prevent him from opening his mind and seeing anything except his LEFT-WING IDEALS. of course, Matthews also seems to believe that taking childish pot shots at Michelle Bachman, Sarah Palin, or other Conservatives proves his intellectual superiority. It does not prove anything, except that Matthews is a man incapable of critical thought.
Is at Brutally Honest, where no truer words than these were ever spoken about Bill Maher.
Class act eh?
There was a time, long since past, where peckerheads like this were dealt with by men with spines, men with class, men who treated ladies like ladies and a**hole misogynists like the scum that they are.
Bill Maher needs to have his butt kicked. I’ve got to believe that many women out there could do it. But there ought to be a man out there, a real man, who’ll stand up for ladies and punch this guy straight in his kisser.
AMEN! That is precisely what Bil Maher, and several other Leftist douchebags I could name need. And no, I am not saying we ought to pop anyone who disagrees with us, but those that say things like Maher says, about women, SHOULD receive a smack upside his head. So should the union bullies we have seen recently trying to intimidate anyone who dares disagree with them.
And, if you disagree with me, fine, I can dig it. But, you call my sister, or any woman I care about a name like those Maher used? Well, then, you better be out of arms length from me when you do.
