….Chris “Crazy Legs” Matthews. Yes, really
Matthews Takes Break from Calling Opponents Racist to Lecture America on Civility
Okay, that headline is a little misleading. MSNBC host Chris Matthews never really took a break from calling his opponents racists and paranoids while engaging on a media blitz promoting his book about civility and amity in politics.
Just for kicks, let us review some of the civility Matthews practices
They’re “almost traitors,” Matthews said of conservatives who believe that the Internal Revenue Service, an agency created in 1913 and which recently admitted to targeting conservative groups in order to limit their political efficacy, should be abolished. “First of all, the right-wing are crazy,” he said in June. “What they’re saying about getting rid of the IRS is insane.”
“It seems there’s a very interesting compelling continuing effort to delegitimize this president,” theMSNBC host added in August. His evidence: conservatives who refer to Obama as “Obama.”
They refer to him as ‘Obama.’ They don’t say the ‘the president.’ They don’t say the ‘a law.’ They don’t even speak the language we normally speak in civilized political debate.”
“When are we going to have the book we’ve been waiting for, Killing O’Reilly?” Matthews said in October, jokingly envisioning the assassination of a rival cable news host with whom he disagrees. This moment was particularly satisfying. Matthews made this statement while appearing on HBO with Bill Maher to promote his book on civility.
“I think it’s hatred,” Matthews opined while summarizing the thinking that motivates conservatives in Congress this week. “I don’t think it’s politics.” Just yesterday, perturbed with conservatives who dare refer to themselves as “the American people” while justifying their opposition to the president’s programs, “Do they still count blacks as three-fifths?”
And those are only a few of his nasty personal and partisan attacks.
Civility he says…………..
Smitty suggest Janet Napolitano might run if………
So, what happens if Hillary Clinton doesn’t run in 2016?
It is hard to imagine the presidential field without a woman contender, and here’s one to keep your eye on: Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano. Napolitano is quietly making it known that she is considering the race, and there is reason to take her seriously.
Yeah, I can see the GOP, Tea Partiers, and basically anybody else with a functioning brain being more than a little motivated to work against Big Sis if she’s on the ticket.
Now, if she brings on Bill Maher as VP, would the double negative somehow work?
Napolitano/Maher 2016? Or maybe I should say Dumber than a Tree Stump/Ultimate Douche Nozzle 2o16? And the campaign slogan would have to be If you See Something Say Something
I really find most boycotts distasteful, no matter who is calling for one. I hate it when Left-wing groups do it, I hate it when Conservatives do it. So this story, about a group of women stricken with Offendeditis, yes, conservatives can contract this malady just like Liberals can, who are demanding we boycott J.C. Penney because they had Ellen DeGeneres do a commercial for them, she is a Lesbian you know, is pathetic. Who she sleeps with is her business. I remember catching some of her show, a few years ago. She had one of George W. Bush’s daughters on, and treated her very well. She seems like a decent person to me, what skin is it off my nose if she is a spokesperson for a store I sometimes shop at?
Donald Douglas has the commercial, that has so offended a group calling themselves One Million Moms, how original.
What is offensive about this ad? Nothing, but, the mere fact that DeGeneres is playing for the other team offends this group. So it is boycott time! Give me a break! This is more like look at us time
A J. C. Penney Christmas commercial featuring openly gay talk show host Ellen DeGeneres has angered a Christian group called One Million Moms, which called for a boycott of the retailer.
“JCP has made their choice to offend a huge majority of their customers again,” the group said in a statement. “Christians must now vote with their wallets.”
“We have contacted J C Penney’s several times in the past with our concerns, and they will not listen,” the statement continued. “They have decided to ignore our complaints and so we will avoid them at all costs.”
The group — which is affiliated with the ultraconservative American Family Assn. — has criticized J. C. Penney several times this year for ads or commercials including lesbian or gay people.
In February, One Million Moms urged shoppers to boycott Penney’s after the company first named DeGeneres as a spokeswoman, but later dropped the campaign after several critics, including Fox News host Bill O’Reilley, attacked the group’s efforts.
Oh they are afilliated with the AFA, that explains a lot. Groups like these strike me as people who like to think that everything on TV ought to be pre-approved by them. You can hit their website and check out the things that outrage them. Many of the alerts I saw were asinine frankly. Sorry, folks, but EVERYTHING on TV is not going to be for children. They are no better than the politically correct Liberals who want to shut up anyone who says things they do not like. They strike me as overly sensitive and whiny, two things that are a big part of what is wrong with America. There are many channels, many shows, many movies, many choices. If you do not like something then change the channel, it is not difficult!
So, I am sure I have now offended some Social Conservatives, and that is OK. I am more of a person that believes that in a free society, we are going to be offended sometimes. When a place of business offends me in some way, I do not call for a boycott, I simply do not go back. When I see something I do not like on TV, I change the channel. When Bill Maher, or any of the MSNBS hosts say something twisted and despicable, and that is pretty much anytime they open their mouths, I do not try to launch a campaign to get them fired. Why would I they have a right to free speech too. And I enjoy using MY free speech to go after their ideologies. And yes, the One Million Easily Offended Moms have a right to call for a boycott, no matter how distasteful it is to me. See how it works?
None other than the talent-deprived short guy, no not Bill Maher, the OTHER talent-deprived short guy, Kanye West, or as I refer to him, little bitch!
Rapper Kanye West, who has had his brushes with politics, stepped into the 2012 race with a biting comment directed toward Mitt Romney.
“I’m just trying to protect my stacks,” West raps on “To the World,” the opening track on the forthcoming album Cruel Summer. “Mitt Romney don’t pay no tax.”
What an absolute tool.
You know, I, and many others would pay money to watch that too. the Daily Caller has the audio and transcript
Maher is a little guy, with a big mouth, which can be a bad combination if the little man flaps his gums to a big guy who is less than even tempered. Recently on Conan O’Brien’s show, Maher revealed something about himself, that I have long suspected.
Appearing as a guest on Tuesday’s Conan show on TBS, HBO comedian Bill Maher absurdly suggested the recent allegations that Mitt Romney engaged in “bullying” in high school are worse than being molested by Michael Jackson, and asserted that he would be willing trade being beat up in grade school for being “gently masturbated by a pop star.”
Maher also again attacked Mormonism and religion generally, using uncensored vulgarity, and seemed to hold Romney responsible for the polygamy of his grandfather.
The Real Time host brought up Michael Jackson to suggest that Romney had behaved worse than a child molester:
But as far as this bullying, you know, this made me think of the Michael Jackson situation. Because, you know, he was accused of being a child molester. We’ll never know because he’s gone, but even his worst accuser never said that he did anything like actually have sex with them. It was grabby, grabby under the covers. Which is terribly wrong.
However, when I was 12 years old, I was beaten on the playground. Just like the Mitt Romney thing, I was held down and somebody just punched me in the face while other kids watched. And if I could go back to 1968 and trade that experience for being gently masturbated by a pop star
Yep, I know that Maher is a despicable pig, who is, in this case, making light of children being molested. Yes, I know how that enrages anyone with a shred of moral decency. He is a waste of skin. But, I have long seen something in Maher. Some deeply held bitterness, a feeling of inferiority that seems to pour out every time he speaks. Maybe it was on that playground, long ago, when little Billy got his ass kicked that such bitterness began. Maybe that helps to explain why he is such a prick? Maybe, just maybe, this also explains why he seeks to demean others? Maybe Maher the child never got over that playground beating. Maybe Maher the adult never has either?
Not that I am in any way excusing Maher, there is no defense for people like him. In fact, I would wager that Maher received his beat down for something he said. Maybe he was a punk with a big mouth way back then. And maybe I am just being mean here but, I would like to think that kid who beat up Maher, was a girl, a girl named Sarah, a pretty girl, with glasses, and who told Maher “you betcha” as she smacked him!
