Trump on Carson: He was maybe an OK doctor

Isn’t it obvious by now that I, again, was right about Trump being a narcissist? And yes, here is more proof that Bobby Jindal is dead on about Trump too!

Trump was asked, “Ben Carson, he’s also making a lot of traction. He’s feeling good about himself, enough that he’s coming at you. He is a man of faith, everybody knows that, it’s a cornerstone of his existence, and certainly his motivation to run.” Trump then cut in, “I don’t know that. I mean, I hadn’t heard that. You know, I’ve known Ben Carson — of him, for a long time, I never heard faith was a big thing, until just recently when he started running. So, I don’t know about Ben Carson’s faith, and of all of a sudden he becomes this great religious figure. I don’t think he’s a great religious figure. And I saw him yesterday quoting something, he was quoting on humility, and it looked like he had just memorized it about two minutes before he made the quote. So, you know, don’t tell me about Ben Carson.”

Trump continued, “He’s starting to hit me, so I hit back. I only hit back when I get hit. I’m a great counter-puncher. But, Ben Carson, you’re talking about his faith, excuse me, Chris, go back and look at his past. Go back and look at his views on abortion, and see where he stands. You talk about abortion, I mean, go back and look at his views on abortion, where — now all of a sudden he gets on very low-key, I mean, frankly he looks like — he makes Bush look like the Energizer Bunny. He’s very low-key. He’s got a lot of donors, a lot of people pushing him. But, Ben Carson, you look at his faith, and I think you’re not going to find so much. And you look at his views on abortion, which were horrendous. And that’s, I think, why I’m leading with all the Evangelicals. I’m — as you know in your poll, number one, I’m leading Ben Carson by a lot. … I’m almost double his numbers.”

Trump added, “he’s questioning my faith. I happen to be a great believer in God, and great believer in the Bible. Who is he — hey Chris, who is he to question my faith, when I am — you know, I mean, he doesn’t even know me. I’ve met him a few times, but I don’t know Ben Carson. He was a doctor, perhaps, you know, an okay doctor, by the way, you can check that out, too. We’re not talking about a great — he was an okay doctor. He was just fine.” And “now, because he’s a doctor, and he hired one nurse, he’s going to end up being the president of the United States? But, for him to criticize me on my faith is absolutely — and for him to read from the Bible, in his memory, it looked like he memorized it about two minutes before he went on stage. But, Ben Carson is not going to be your next president, that I can tell you.”

The sad fact is Trump cannot discuss any issue without tooting his own horn, and trying to demean anyone who does not suck up to him? He is simply is about as self-absorbed as they come. He whines about being attacked, when all he does is attack. He attacked Carly Fiorina’s looks, and no Donald spare us your flimsy excuses that you meant her “persona”. He attacks Carson’s record as a neurosurgeon. He attacks Rick Perry’s IQ. Because being a successful governor is something a “total loser” can do.  He whines anytime a media person asks him a tough, or even semi-tough question. THIS is the savior of America? He is more like a petulant brat who will take his ball and go home. And of course “his ball” would be the greatest ball ever! What an absolute douche nozzle!

Unfit For Office (Dr. Ben Carson)

Unfit For Office – Dr. Ben Carson

The recent escalating arguments over whether there should be further congressional hearings on Benghazi are troubling. The fact that there are substantial numbers of people who feel that there is nothing more to investigate when four American lives were lost and no one has answered for this crime provides an indication of how far our sense of justice has slipped.

This should not be a partisan issue, because the implications of ignoring or prevaricating about the underlying mistakes will have far-reaching consequences. The United States has diplomatic establishments throughout the world, and if they can be attacked without consequences, it greatly diminishes our influence despite any protestations to the contrary.

What does it say about our judgment if we have diplomatic establishments for which we make inadequate provisions for protection? This is especially disturbing because it was revealed that requests by the diplomatic facility in Benghazi for more protection were refused. There had been attacks on the facility not long before the fatal attack, and hostile actions had been taken against the British, which they were wise enough to react to appropriately.

Even more confounding was the decision to abandon our personnel at the facility because someone decided that our military forces could not reach them in time to effect a rescue. How could such a decision be made when no one knew how long the hostile action would last?

When our top officials make decisions to abandon our own people because they feel the situation is hopeless, they also abandon the concept of American exceptionalism and create doubt in the minds of all future military participants about the intention of their superiors to expend maximum effort to preserve their lives when they have sacrificed everything for our nation.

Making mistakes is part of being human, but the ever-increasing deception that is necessary to cover those mistakes when honesty is abandoned is evil. Those willing to ignore evil for political reasons should question their fitness for leadership of our nation. In this case, a blatant falsehood was promoted – namely that the Obama administration had international terrorist activity directed at America under control and that the Benghazi incident was a spontaneous action resulting from the outrage of locals who had viewed an offensive anti-Islamic video. Undue importance was placed on promoting an image of U.S. strength during the weeks immediately preceding the presidential election of 2012.

Again, I must emphasize that if we, the American people, the American press, and the American political class, participate in the cover-up or ignore such an important story, we contribute to the demise of honesty and truth as pillars of our governing structure. In the book of Proverbs, King Solomon put it this way: “If a ruler listens to lies, those who serve him will be wicked.”

We also should be concerned about the attempt by some to ignore or downgrade the significance of the Internal Revenue Service scandal. The fact that something this contrary to the concept of freedom can happen in a country based on constitutional values and be characterized as a “phony scandal” by people who supposedly have the best interests of this country at heart again points to the danger of placing partisan politics above truth and honesty.

When politicians huddle and try to figure out ways to defend their leader or their party and ignore the well-being of their nation, the people must take notice and do everything within their power to make sure they are represented by those who share their beliefs, and not by those who are simply party loyalists.

Obviously, the IRS was used in inappropriate ways, or Lois Lerner would not have pleaded the Fifth Amendment. It is more than disturbing that the president of the United States and many in his party feigned outrage when the inappropriate actions of the IRS initially were exposed but now cannot lend support to a full and unfettered investigation of activities that threaten the very liberty of the American people.

A bipartisan group should investigate both Benghazi and the IRS scandal in a transparent manner. If wrongdoing is discovered, those responsible must face consequences, and procedures must be established to ensure that such abuses never occur again.

Most important, the people must awaken and look objectively at the actions of both Democrats and Republicans and not simply accept what party leaders say. Freedom is not free, and vigilance in responsible voting is necessary to preserve it.

Dr. Ben Carson Doubles-Down… “Obamacare Worst Thing Since Slavery” (Audio)

Dr. Ben Carson Doubles-Down… “Obamacare Worst Thing Since Slavery” – Gateway Pundit

On his NewsOne radio show Friday morning, Roland Martin confronted Dr. Ben Carson over his recent comments that Obamacare is “the worst thing that has happened in this nation since slavery.”

Dr. Carson doubled-down.

“This nation was founded on the principle that it would be a new type of nation, that was ‘for, of and by the people.’ A Constitution was put in place that would assure that the people would remain at the pinnacle of power and that the central government would never reach the point that it had control of the people. This fundamentally changes the relationship. It places the government at the pinnacle now that it is placed on a road that will give it control of everyone’s health.”

Dr. Carson left Martin speechless.

Why yes, Obama Care IS like slavery

Dr. Ben Carson points out what i have pointed out numerous times

“I have to tell you, you know, “Obamacare” is really, I think, the worst thing that has happened in this nation since slavery,” Carson said. “In a way, it is slavery, in a way because it is making all of us subservient to the government.”

The statement prompted a strong standing ovation.

“It was never about health care,” Carson continued. “It was about control and that’s why – that’s why when this administration took office it didn’t matter that the country was going off the cliff economically. All forces were directed toward getting this legislation passed.”

He is right, and it is tragic that so many either do not know the truth, or are afraid to bring it up

“Vladimir Lenin, one of the fathers of socialism, said that socialized medicine is the keystone to the establishment of a socialist state,” Carson said. “Some people say, oh come on, you’re being paranoid. Why would you bring up something like that. I would say if you know anything about history, how could you not bring that up.”

How not indeed!

Dr. Ben Carson To Speak At CPAC 2013

Ben Carson To Speak At CPAC 2013 – Human Events

Exciting news about CPAC 2013 from the American Conservative Union: Dr. Ben Carson has joined the list of featured speakers for the event, to be held March 14-16. From the official press release:

“Dr. Ben Carson represents the optimism and hope of the future of the conservative movement, while at the same time he articulates the deep fiscal and social challenges that our Nation faces,” said ACU Chairman Al Cardenas. “We look forward to welcoming Dr. Carson to the CPAC stage in March.”

Dr. Benjamin Carson is the Director of Pediatric Neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. An internationally renowned physician, Dr. Carson has authored over 100 neurosurgical publications, along with five best-selling books, including the New York Times bestseller, America the Beautiful, and has been awarded 60 honorary doctorate degrees and dozens of national merit citations. He is a recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom and delivered the keynote address at the 2013 National Prayer Breakfast earlier this month.

This will add much fuel to the speculation that Carson might be considering a run for office. He turned a lot of heads with his speech at the National Prayer Breakfast earlier this month. Speaking of which, The Hill has an interesting tidbit about that speech: according to Carson, the White House asked to review it before he delivered it. Even though President Obama was speaking at the same event, that seems a bit odd, if not creepy.

Carson’s reply: “I told them that I don’t have an advance copy because I don’t write out my speeches and I don’t use teleprompters… they asked more than once… I gave them the [Biblical] texts around which the remarks would be framed… I said read those texts, the remarks will be framed around those… that should have told them something.”

The speech that rocked the world was more-or-less extemporaneous?
