Technically, it’s the mandate requiring that employers provide their workers with health insurance that’s taking a hit, but since that’s really the heart of ObamaCare — and the Supreme Court ruled as well that individuals who don’t buy insurance on their own must pay a tax — we’re really seeing the entire 2009 healthcare cluster-k being repudiated by the Obama White House. This gives Democrats a lifeline to save their sinking asses in the 2014 election, but since the Democrats are in effect admitting their own incompetence (and deception) the Republicans will have an even more powerful hammer to crush the idiot Democrat-Socialists a year from November.
It’s even worse than we previously thought. A retired four-star admiral is now claiming that Barack Obama intentionally conspired with America’s enemies to stage a bogus attack and the kidnapping of an American ambassador so he could “negotiate” the release of a “hostage” and bolster his mediocre approval ratings just prior to the election!
The Washington Examiner, quoting retired Four-Star Admiral James Lyons, writes: “the attack on the American Consulate in Benghazi… was the result of a bungled abduction attempt…. the first stage of an international prisoner exchange… that would have ensured the release of Omar Abdel Rahman, the ‘Blind Sheik’…”
But something went horribly wrong with Obama’s “October Surprise.” Although the Obama Administration intentionally gutted security at the consulate prior to the staged kidnapping, former Navy SEALs Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty disobeyed direct orders to stand down, saved American lives, single-handedly killed scores of attackers…and the attackers, believing that Obama had betrayed them, tortured Ambassador Chris Stevens and dragged his body through the streets.
Some will say that Admiral Lyons’ accusation is not a smoking gun. We agree; that’s exactly why Congress must investigate Benghazi-gate.
We will see how this accusation, and that is all it is at this point shakes out. I recall early on hearing rumors about this being a failed “October Surprise” was it? Hopefully we will find out.
Obama CARES, he cares so much about American workers, and hates outsourcing right? WRONGG!
According to World City America Inc., the Finnish government has agreed to finance a third Royal Caribbean cruise ship while the Obama Administration dictates that the American economy and American jobs will be preempted from competing in this US-driven market. World City advises that the U.S. Maritime Administration has arbitrarily dictated that the nation’s ship financing program cannot be used to build cruise ships despite the fact that the cruise sector is the only segment of the international shipping industry that has consistently done well, year after year, for decades.
Stephanie Gallagher, President of World City America Inc., whose company has spent decades and over $60 million trying to capture a fair share of this U.S.-passenger-dependent industry, claims that the Obama Administration has not only “missed the boat” of American opportunity to create and sustain thousands of new jobs and billions in new tax revenues, at no cost to the taxpayer, and with only managed risk, but that President Obama has gone further and dictated that the nations’ ship financing program will not be used to access this huge market.
“It’s a shot in the head,” claims Gallagher. “The Obama Administration, not unlike prior administrations, has enjoyed the foreign-flag cruise lobby largesse and largely ignored the fact that this U.S.-passenger-dependent industry competes with U.S. hotels, resorts, casinos, and other hospitality organizations without having to pay taxes or hire Americans.”
“It’s amazing to me,” said Gallagher, “that the President bragged just last week that he ‘walks the talk’ when it comes to a level playing field and giving Americans a fair shot in the global economy.”
“In reality,” said Gallagher, “American passengers support a $40 billion-a-year industry that found a way to beat the system — to avoid hiring Americans or paying taxes on their multi-billion-dollar revenues.”
Of course, to be fair past administrations deserve scorn for allowing this too! It does seem that politicians are our worst enemies at times.
The Obama Administration today announced a virtual amnesty-by-decree for hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens, whose deportations will be “indefinitely delayed”. In addition, Obama finally announced a jobs program — but for ILLEGAL ALIENS, not citizens — as those 300,000 illegals will also become eligible for “work permits.”
This action represents an administrative end-run around Congress, which twice rejected the ‘DREAM Act’ in 2010.

The Obama administration has floated a transportation authorization bill that would require the study and implementation of a plan to tax automobile drivers based on how many miles they drive.
The plan is a part of the administration’s Transportation Opportunities Act, an undated draft of which was obtained this week by Transportation Weekly.
The White House, however, said the bill is only an earlydraft that was not formally circulated within the administration.
I love that last line. Oh, it’s only “an early draft” and hasn’t been “formally circulated.” I take that transparent sidestep as admission that they intend to push for this as hard as they can.
Recall, this is administration that has launched an all out war on energy which, of course, is the lifeblood of American freedom and prosperity. Obama’s energy plan, in his own words, is one where prices “would necessarily skyrocket.“
Wolf is quite correct, the Left’s agenda, every last aspect of it, is nothing more than an all-out assault on American ideals. To the Left, this is their one aim, to “fundamentally change America”. Rest assured they will never stop seeking to bring some form Marxism here. Therefore, we must resolve to fight them every day!
An update it looks as if the White House is backing away from this, for now, but they will try again, they always do.
The White House on Thursday walked back a proposal to tax people based on how many miles they drive.
The proposal was included in a draft of the administration’s Transportation Opportunities Act, but a White House spokesman said it “was not an administration proposal.”
“This is not a bill supported by the administration,” White House spokeswoman Jennifer Psaki said. “This was an early working draft proposal that was never formally circulated within the administration, does not take into account the advice of the president’s senior advisers, economic team or Cabinet officials, and does not represent the views of the president.”
The legislation the White House is distancing itself from calls for creating a Surface Transportation Revenue Alternatives Office within the Federal Highway Administration. It would be tasked with creating a “study framework that defines the functionality of a mileage-based user fee system and other systems.”
Whatever they say now, the fact is they simply decided this was too much too soon, so look for some “softer” proposals that start us down the same road. Look for something more “palatable”, in other words, something that is easier to sneak by the people.
House Transportation Chairman John Mica (R-Fla.) has indicated that he did not think a tax-per-mile proposal was politically palatable, but said Congress would have to look for ways to supplement declining gas tax revenues.
“Even an increase in gas taxes now will not solve the problem,” Mica said. “Every day, the fleet is getting more efficient. They’re literally driving further and paying less, so the system will collapse.”But even before Republicans took control of the House in 2010 on an anti-government wave, Mica said the tax-per-mile proposal would be a tough sell to voters.
“They’ll be coming with pitchforks up the Capitol steps,” Mica told the newspaper.
