Donald Trump’s rally in Chicago has been postponed amid huge protests against him.
A Trump campaign staffer took the stage, about 30 minutes after the rally was supposed to start at 7 p.m., and said that Trump had just arrived to Chicago.
He said the rally would be postponed because of security concerns.
The crowd erupted into screams and boos.
His campaign released a statement: “Mr. Trump just arrived in Chicago and after meeting with law enforcement has determined that for the safety of all of the tens of thousands of people that have gathered in and around the arena, tonight’s rally will be postponed to another date.”
Video footage from inside the venue showed many people remaining inside after the announcement, and several physical altercations broke out.
An African-American man at one point took the stage, shouting back at supporters on the floor, before being escorted out by security.
Police had the venue mostly cleared by about 8 p.m. Fox News reported that Trump is back at his hotel and will be leaving for Ohio on Saturday.
The large protests come on the heels of a Trump rally earlier this week where a man was charged with assault and battery after video surfaced showing him punching a man in the face.
Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton was quick to denounce the violence that occurs at Trump rallies, and his GOP rivals also expressed concerns at Thursday night’s GOP debate.
The real estate mogul himself on Thursday night said he doesn’t “condone” the violent behavior at his campaign events.
This is the greatest example of the true nature of socialism and liberalism!! What happens on a freezing cold night in Birmingham when Bernie Sanders needs a campaign space and a bunch of homeless losers are in the way? Let’s just say our future socialist dictator always gets his way!!
From Alabama Media Group:
With temperatures in Birmingham expected to dropped to 20 overnight Monday – the lowest temperature thus far in 2016 – the place where the city’s homeless usually go to seek shelter from the cold was unavailable.
Boutwell Auditorium, typically used as a warming station in such situations, was not available Monday night because presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders spoke to a crowd of thousands. Factoring in wind chill, it was expected to feel more like 15 degrees on the streets of Birmingham.
Last week, the auditorium housed about 300 people a night when it served as a warming station for three nights.
“We’ve never had a night like this where it will be in the teens and we weren’t able to open,” said Don Lupo, of the mayor’s office of citizen’s assistance.
Isn’t that just perfect? While this math-challenged commie holds a rally bashing “millionaires and billionaires” who are supposedly making everyone poor and homeless, there are literally 300 homeless people freezing out on the streets because of his rally!!!
In a Facebook post about the embarrassing episode, Lupo said he was not a “happy camper”:

to say i’m not a happy camper tonight would be one of those understatements that you hear about all the time – we couldn’t open the WARMING STATION because the building was booked – there is no one to be mad at – the SCLC had event there in the late afternoon and there was a Bernie Sanders rally there tonight – so Boutwell was not available on the coldest night we’ve had in a few years – being mad with the SCLC or Senator Sanders doesn’t get us anywhere
what gets us somewhere is doing something about our problem – we have a lack of shelter beds – plain and simple – as in the old days – there is no room in the inn – we have three (3) emergency shelters in our city – Firehouse Shelter, First Light and Birmingham Salvation Army – that’s it – that’s not enough to house all the people – people, our neighbors, our brothers and sisters – the three above shelters are full to the brim tonight – Pathways: A Woman’s Way Home is full, Brother Bryan Mission is full
my phone (both of them) have blown up tonight – PMs on here have come as fast as i could read them – i’ve gotten messages from people that i didn’t know even knew my name – so maybe instead of being mad at someone we should be thankful – not being open tonight has people concerned – not being open tonight has people talking
maybe tomorrow we’ll wake up with a fresh idea of what to do – maybe tomorrow someone or some group will call and offer space when the space at Boutwell can’t be used
i used this a few days ago but i turned to it again tonight and i am going to claim it’s promise – and i promise those angels that i talk about all the time and i will not faint – “let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” Galatians 6:9

And that’s what we can expect from socialist Bernie-in-chief: a lot of rhetoric about helping people while he makes everything worse for everyone. LOL!!
Police seized “offensive” Mohammed cartoons during a demonstration by the Dutch branch of the Patriotic European Against the Islamisation of the West (PEGIDA) movement in the city of Utrecht this weekend.
The rally, which attracted around 150 supporters, criticised the “Islamisation” of the Netherlands, with demonstrators also expressing their support for the Freedom Party of Geert Wilders, a noted critic of Islamism.
DutchNews reports that police arrested 32 people at the demonstration for a variety of offences including failing to carry IDs, not following police orders and displaying “insulting banners”.
One such banner said the “Koran is poison”, while another claimed “Islamisation is EU-thanasia”.
Video footage emerged of police removing Mohammed cartoons, although their ultimate fate is unknown.
Utrecht City Council had banned the demonstrators from marching through the city so they gathered instead in a park on the outskirts of the city.
The PEGIDA marches started in Dresden, Germany last year as “evening strolls” through the streets every Monday to protest against militant and political Islam. The marches soon grew and spread across the country, but died down again at the start of this year to point where most commentators assumed the movement had petered out.
However, as the migrant crisis intensifies in Europe, especially thanks to German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s relaxed border policies, the marches have started again and are growing.
Authorities have hit back, however, charging founder Lutz Bachmann with hate speech for comments he made in Facebook posts back in 2014. State prosecutors in Saxony claim private posts in which Mr Bachmann uses terms such as “livestock” and “scum” to refer to migrants risked causing disturbances.
This weekend in the German capital Berlin, supporters of the anti-mass migration Alternativ für Deutschland (AfD) party also held a rally criticising Mrs Merkel’s immigration policy and calling for her to resign.
The rally passed off largely peacefully, although violent scuffles broke out between police and pro-migrant counter-demonstrators.
