Hey Conservatives, is that a knife in your back, or is Sarah Palin just happy to get some publicity?

Sarah, Sarah, Sarah. I am going to allow Greg Gutfeld to express my views

Fox News Channel host Greg Gutfeld stated he was “glad that we were suckered” into covering former Alaska Governor and GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin’s endorsement of GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump over “Hillary Rodham Clinton having top-secret classified information on her email” and the endorsement “shows in a way the opportunism of a lot of top conservative leaders” on Tuesday’s broadcast of “The Five.”

Gutfeld said, “Palin’s endorsement is massive, because it will definitely get Palin’s vote. And I think that’s really important, and I think it is bigger than Hillary Rodham Clinton having top-secret classified information on her email. So I’m glad that we were suckered into leading with this huge, huge announcement. But the rub here is you have a staunch religious conservative tossing aside a staunch religious conservative for a Rockefeller Republican. And it shows in a way the opportunism of a lot of top conservative leaders, when they see the bandwagon, they jump on the bandwagon.”

He later stated, “I do see a lot of religious conservatives and hard-right conservatives going to Trump, because they sense he might be a winner and Cruz isn’t. Why would you be sacrificing your ideological beliefs otherwise?”

After the discussion turned to the feud between Trump and fellow candidate Texas SenatorTed Cruz (R-TX)

Cruz, Gutfeld stated, “Well, it’s interesting because you were talking — you talked about how important is pro-life. Well, you have seen some conservative commentators just totally abandon that. There was one famous one, who saidshe didn’t care if Donald Trump would perform abortions in the White House. She said that. We know who that is.
It is fascinating isn’t it? Conservatives like Palin have been clamoring for a genuine Conservative like Cruz. They have been clamoring for a fighter who will take on the RINOs, Cruz has done that. They have been begging for a candidate who will stand up for their principles. Cruz has done that, and yet. Well again allow Greg Gutfeld to sum up my feelings
“It’s the people who are religious, who are suddenly abandoning their religion for him.”
Amen to that, and by the way, I must point out that I completely disagree with Gutfeld when he says Trump stands a better chance to beat Hillary than Cruz does. I find that simply wrong. But, who knows right? Now on to S.E. Cupp who is floored by Palin’s endorsement of the Carnival Barker

S.E. Cupp writing in the New York Daily News:

Back in December, I was at a small event in a Las Vegas bar; CNN’s Jake Tapper was interviewing Sarah Palin. He asked which candidate she’d most like to grab a beer with. Her answer? Donald Trump.

Trump, of course, has been sober his whole life. But the moment perfectly encapsulates the Palin-Trump romance. Because in addition to endorsing a beer run with a man who doesn’t drink, she also just endorsed for the presidency a man who is neither a committed conservative nor an anti-establishment rogue.

Trump’s long history of liberalism is well known. He was once a registered Democrat who supported Democratic candidates, from Bill de Blasio to Hillary Clinton. He has said publicly that the economy usually does better under Democrats. At times he’s supported legalizing drugs, raising taxes on the wealthy and embracing isolationist foreign policies.

But what’s most jarring is the positions he’s held on a number of issues that are particularly important to Palin.

In the past, he called himself “very pro-choice.” Yet Palin — who made the very courageous and compassionate decision to have a baby she knew would be disabled — is unbothered.

On guns, he once supported a ban on so-called assault weapons and longer waiting periods to purchase a firearm. That should be deeply disconcerting to Palin, a Second Amendment firebrand who once said, “If you control arms, you control the people.”

And Trump has supported universal health care — expressing admiration for Scotland’s single-payer system as recently as last year. Palin spent years denouncing Obamacare, which is many steps short of a single-payer plan, as “socialized medicine.” These aren’t minor policy differences. The beliefs long embraced by Palin and long eschewed by Trump are fundamental to conservatism. That Trump has suddenly gotten religion — on issue after issue — should be met by Palin with suspicion.

Yep, Cupp is right. I fear that Palin is simply going for the maximum benefit for herself on this. Damn I hate saying that but…………

Sarah Palin Wants To Be The Donald’s Energy Secretary… So She Can Get Rid Of Department Of Energy

Sarah Palin Wants To Be Trump’s Energy Secretary – Daily Caller

.

.
Former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin says she wants to be named energy secretary if Donald Trump is elected president.

“I think a lot about the Department of Energy because energy is my baby: oil and gas and minerals, those things that God has dumped on this part of the Earth for mankind’s use instead of us relying on unfriendly foreign nations,” Palin told Jake Tapper on “State of the Union” Sunday.

But if the former Alaskan governor gets her way, she wouldn’t hold the position for long. Palin said she would get rid of the department and give the power back to the states.

“So, you know, if I were in charge of that, it would be a short-term job,” she said. “But it would be – it would be really great to have someone who knows energy and is pro-responsible development to be in charge.”

While the politician and political commentator says she wants to head the Department of Energy, she may want to lobby the Republican front-runner to serve as his secretary of interior instead, the department that handles energy development on federal land.

Trump said he is open to the idea of having Palin as a member of his cabinet.

“She’s really somebody who knows what’s happening. She’s a special person. She’s really a special person. And I think people know that and she’s got a following that’s unbelievable,” he said on Mama Grizzly Radio’s “The Palin Update” in July.

Quick Reminder To Erick Erickson: Don’t Poke The Mama Grizzly

Palin Fires Back At Erickson After ‘You’ve Been Busted Apology’ – Big Journalism

.

.
Originally posted to Sarah Palin’s facebook page:

Erick Erickson,

Today a friend forwarded your apology for mocking my family – again – and in answer to your point, yes, I do remember people taking repeated potshots at my family, friends, and supporters (many of whom politely pointed out to you and your staffers that the sleazy photoshopped picture you ran of me was indeed fake, but were dismissed and mocked repeatedly for doing so.) Also, in your summary of our interactions, you forgot to mention things like your public comparison of me to L. Ron Hubbard (and not in a way that would make Tom Cruise proud). Apparently you’ve forgotten your other indiscretions, including elevating your staffer, Mr. Wolf, who has been trashing my daughter and entire family on Twitter for days now. Adult males like y’all are just delightful to work with in that GOP machine. Since your man there appears to be your go-to-guy when you want to diss me or my family, try telling him that your organization’s gleeful perpetuation of your problems involving taking unwarranted shots at various conservatives makes it almost silly to take seriously your after-you’ve-been-busted apologies. But thanks for suggesting one anyway today; it’s accepted.

And since we’re clearing the air here, you need to make peace with Mr. Trump and Dr. Carson, whom you also delight in besmirching. They are obviously very sharp, successful, courageous men who certainly did not draw first blood in the battles you picked with them. Do it, so we may have a strong, positive, uncensored primary to elect the strongest nominee to assure there is no “third term” for Barack Obama. And just so you know going forward, a mama grizzly is always going to defend her cubs – especially from a Wolf.

– Sarah Palin

PS: By the way, Erick, it’s August. Why don’t you chill out while Donald Trump brings 24 million people to watch Republican debates, when these debates are full of talented, well-spoken individuals advocating beautifully for our shared values?
