Virginia News Reporter, Photographer Murdered During Live Television Interview (Video)

Virginia TV Reporter, Photographer Killed In Shooting During Live Interview – CNN

A manhunt is underway for a gunman who fatally shot a local news reporter and photographer on live television during an interview outside Moneta, Virginia, on Wednesday morning.

Alison Parker was interviewing a woman at approximately 6:45 a.m. when shots rang out. Both women screamed.

As the camera fell to the ground, the audience caught the briefest glimpse of a man who appeared to pointing a gun toward the downed cameraman.

The station cut away to a shocked anchor, Kimberly McBroom, back in the studio.

.

.
Parker, 24, and Adam Ward, 27, were killed in the shooting at Bridgewater Plaza near Moneta, the station reported later.

The gunman is believed to have fired six or seven times, WDBJ General Manager Jeff Marks said.

He remains on the loose. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is participating in the manhunt.

.

.
“We do not know the motive. We do not know who the killer is,” Marks said. “We do know the Franklin County sheriff… they are working very diligently to track down both the motive and the person responsible for this terrible crime against two fine journalists,” he said during the station’s coverage of the shooting.

The station does not believe that the interview subject was injured, Marks said.

“Our hearts are broken,” Marks said on air, explaining that Parker’s and Ward’s colleagues are “holding back tears.”

McBroom described Parker as a “rock star” and said, “You throw anything at that girl and she could do it.”

Another journalist at the anchor’s desk said Ward was engaged to be married to morning show producer at WDBJ and Ward recently told her, “I’m going to get out of news. I think I’m going to do something else.”

Parker is the morning reporter for the Roanoke station and a native of Virginia, having spent most of her life outside Martinsville. She started with WDBJ as an intern, her biography on the station’s website says.

She previously worked with another CNN affiliate, WCTI, in Jacksonville, North Carolina, near Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune.

She is a graduate of James Madison University’s School of Media Arts and Design in Harrisonburg.

Bryce Flanagan Says He Killed White Journalists To Avenge Charleston Church Victims, Part Of “Race War” – Weasel Zippers

Something tells me the media won’t be playing up the race angle like they did in Charleston.

Via ABC News:

A man claiming to be Bryce Williams called ABC News over the last few weeks, saying he wanted to pitch a story, and wanted to fax information. He never told ABC News what the story was.

This morning, a fax was in the machine (time stamped 8:26 a.m.)almost two hours after the shooting. A little after 10 a.m., he called again, and introduced himself as Bryce, but also said his legal name was Vester Lee Flanagan, and that he shot two people this morning. While on the phone, he said authorities are “after me,” and “all over the place.” He hung up. ABC News contacted the authorities immediately and provided them with the fax.

In the 23-page document faxed to ABC News, the writer says “MY NAME IS BRYCE WILLIAMS” and his legal name is Vester Lee Flanagan II.” He writes what triggered today’s carnage was his reaction to the racism of the Charleston church shooting:

“Why did I do it? I put down a deposit for a gun on 6/19/15. The Church shooting in Charleston happened on 6/17/15…”

“What sent me over the top was the church shooting. And my hollow point bullets have the victims’ initials on them.”

It is unclear whose initials he is referring to. He continues, “As for Dylann Roof? You (deleted)! You want a race war (deleted)? BRING IT THEN YOU WHITE… (deleted)!!!” He said Jehovah spoke to him, telling him to act.

Later in the manifesto, the writer quotes the Virginia Tech mass killer, Seung Hui Cho, calls him “his boy,” and expresses admiration for the Columbine High School killers. “Also, I was influenced by Seung-Hui Cho. That’s my boy right there. He got NEARLY double the amount that Eric Harris and Dylann Klebold got… just sayin.’”

In an often rambling letter to the authorities, and family and friends, he writes of a long list of grievances. In one part of the document, Williams calls it a “Suicide Note for Friends and Family.”

-He says has suffered racial discrimination, sexual harassment and bullying at work -He says he has been attacked by black men and white females -He talks about how he was attacked for being a gay, black man

“Yes, it will sound like I am angry… I am. And I have every right to be. But when I leave this Earth, the only emotion I want to feel is peace…”

“The church shooting was the tipping point… but my anger has been building steadily… I’ve been a human powder keg for a while… just waiting to go BOOM!!!!”

Suddenly, after pimping class envy rhetoric for years, Ed Schultz hates class envy

Hypocrisy much Ed?

The Angriest Man on TV™ gets paid big bucks for his act as a left-wing populist who hates Republicans like God hates sin. Alas, when it comes to the lowly wage slaves who haul the freight at his network, Ed Schultz sounds like more like Ebenezer Scrooge:

Ed Schultz decided to take a break from his normal act of ranting against Republicans today by raging against some fellow liberals who had the temerity to criticize him and other MSNBC hosts for declining to publicly take the side of union members in a dispute they’re having with the cable channel’s parent company, NBC Universal.
Schultz . . . lashed out at a report from Salon.com which mentioned him: “I become the target because I’m living good. I become the target because I have a platform. . . . They’re just out to take somebody down who’s got something they don’t have.” . . .
“I’m not going to lower myself to people who just have got employment envy, income envy, exposure envy, platform envy,” Schultz said, according to a Salon transcription of the show. . . .
Schultz also attacked an internet columnist named David Sirota in a way that could not be construed as anything but “punching down.”
“It’s interesting that you have had class envy on me for years, that you’re never going to be as big as I am. That’s what you’re all about, Sirota.” He reiterated his opinion moments later, calling Sirota a “loser.”

Wow, that’s weird. I actually agree with Ed Schultz: His critics areenvious, and David Sirota is certainly a loser. But that message is not in sync with the egalitarian ethos of the Left, and Ed Schultz just exposed himself as a loud, phony, hypocritical plutocrat.

Did I mention Ed Schultz’s reported salary is $4 million a year

Four Million for that ass hat? Whoever thought acting like a complete buffoon with anger management issues could make you rich? But, when you think about it, many rich Liberals are not that different from Schultz are they? Angry, bitter, foul-mouthed, need I go on?

Funny how Liberals like Schultz change their tune on the “rich” when they are themselves attacked for being rich.

Hell freezes over as MSNBS tool apologizes for being a tool

Martin Bashir said some very nasty things about Sarah Palin last week, and either his bosses, or Bashir himself decided he went too far. Donald Douglas has Bashir’s apology I will leave it to you to decide how heartfelt it is. To me it sounded less scripted than most apologies we hear today, so maybe Bashir actually means it

FINALLY help has arrived for MSNBS viewers

We know that sometimes we bloggers watch too much MSNBS. We watch for three reasons. First, MSNBS has the best grove of Trees of Low Hanging Blogging Fruit. Second, we watch to see which Leftist anchor’s head will explode first. And yes, we watch to see that moment when the men in white coats come take Chris Matthews away. For me there is a fourth reason, my shameless crush on Tamron Hall. Damn that woman has the most gorgeous face. I cannot help it, I am completely smitten.TH5

But, all that race baiting on MSNBS can have side effects, like cussing at your TV, saying WTF repeatedly, and yes, headaches. But there is good news folks. Now Excedrin has created an answer to our MSNBS-induced headaches.

Seems that Live Leak banned Froglegs, for absolutely no reason, so did Vimeo, and YouTube is hassling him over “possible” copyright infringement for using HIS OWN stuff! It would seem that he must be doing something right, which is why the Left is attacking.  Joe Dan explains his situation here

Oh no! Geico commercial causes Offendeditis

Sadly, it is not just Liberal whiners that can contract Offendeditis. SIGH!

Have you seen the Geico commercial with the pig and the girl? It’s really kind of creepy and now the insurance company is taking heat from a group of moms who say it promotes bestiality.

Angry parents are up in arms over a “repulsive” cellphone app commercial that they say promotes bestiality.

One Million Moms wants auto insurance firm Geico to pull its latest TV campaign in which a woman appears to be flirting with a pig.

The conservative Christian group that monitors children’s programming issued a statement to condemn the clip.

For the love of God people! It is just a freaking commercial, meant to be funny, stop hyper-ventilating! This is why fewer and fewer commercials during Super Bowls are any good, (this years crop stunk). Anytime anyone makes a slightly edgy, or funny spot, here come the whiners looking for some attention. Sure they scream that they are offended, but what they really mean is “LOOK AT ME”. The “Conservative” group One Million Moms, says the commercial is ‘horrible’ for families. Sorry, but groups like this might do a lot of good, but when they pull stunts like this they just makes Conservatives look like prudes! And, really they are not much better than Liberal groups who want to ban everything that offends them. Sorry, but a Statist is a Statist!

Gigantic Asteroid Hurtling Towards Earth? UPDATED! CNN anchor beats Al Gore to the punch, blames you know what

But do not worry about that. The scientific community says it is much ado about nothing, Stacy McCain, however…………

They’re scientists, after all, which means they’re never wrong, so ignorant laymen like us should have complete confidence in their judgment

The impact of a meteorite or comet is today wi...

Anyone happening to glance towards the heavens in a week’s time and glimpses a 50-metre-long lump of rock hurtling ominously through the skies need not panic.
Although it will pass closer to us than any asteroid has for the past 15 years — closer even than the TV satellites that girdle the planet — Nasa insists that 2012 DA14 will miss Earth by a good 17,100 miles (27,520km).
“No Earth impact is possible,” said Donald Yeomans, an astronomer with the US space agency.

In other words: PANIC! It’s going to destroy us all!

The good news is this. If it does hit us, we will not be around to listen to Al Gore blame asteroids on climate change. Also, it will be the end of reality shows.

UPDATE! The obligatory “Did Global Warming Cause the Asteroid Card” has already been played!

CNN anchor Deb Feyerick asked Saturday afternoon if an approaching asteroid, which will pass by Earth on February 15, “is an example of, perhaps, global warming?”

UGH! Is there any absurdity the Left will not stoop to?

You don’t have to be mean spirited to be Lena Dunham, but it sure helps

OK, I admit, that is a mean title for a blog post, but, I am really well past fed up with these morally retarded Leftists, who are far closer to Nazis than any Conservative getting a pass for their crude behaviors. The Other McCain has the reason I find Dunham so deplorable. Republicans are Nazis, or something equally inane.

Maybe you know somebody like Lena Dunham. In a way, it’s hard not to feel sorry for people like her. She’s not really that fat or that ugly, but she just can’t get over the fact that she’s not pretty and skinny.

She can never manage to recover from some deep psychic wound, a sort of juvenile ego-trauma that left her with such a profoundly damagedpersonality that she spends the rest of her life trying to get revenge against the world for bad things that happened to her years ago.

Anyway, if you know somebody like Lena Dunham, you understand what she’s doing: “I’m fat and ugly and unpopular, but maybe if I add ‘cruel’ and ‘obnoxious’ to the list, I can pretend like people who don’t like me are intimidated by my intelligence and courage.” This isn’t really an effective compensation, but it provides her an excuse — a rationalization, a defense mechanism — she can alternately cling to as a crutch or wield as a weapon, harming others without actually helping herself. The damage is never healed, because her inner feelings of worthlessness are so intense, she scorns as contemptible anyone who wants to help her: “If you like me, there must be something wrong with you.”

All of which is a necessary preamble to the latest manifestation of Lena Dunham’s tendency toward vengeful cruelty: People complained about the lack of diversity on Lena’s Not Very Popular HBO Show, so she decided to bring on a black guy . . . as a Republican villain:

Personally, I have never seen her show, likely never will. Frankly, most of HBO’s original programming has been crap, well except for Arliss, I really like that show. To me most cable programming tries too hard, way too hard to “push the envelope” and they end up with shows that seem to be made for sluts, men with the brains of 13-year-old boys, and people who still think getting stoned is like, really cool dudes! But, that is of no matter, not all forms of entertainment are for everyone. But the real point is that people like Dunham are not just ignorant and wrong in their ideological visions. It is that they revel in their ignorance, as if being absolutely clueless is cutting edge and hip. It is that they wallow in their own pits of hatred while screaming about tolerance and claiming to be against hate. Speaking of pits of hatred, consider Dunham’s remarks about Republicans

I want to start with the fourth scene of the entire season, which is you, topless …
… on top of Donald Glover.

Having sex.
Yes.

Which is pretty much a summary of every single thing that people complained about in season one. How conscious was that?
We always wanted to work with Donald — he’s the cutest and the funniest, and why would you not want to kiss him on TV? But I think that when we shot that scene, there was both a feeling that it was the appropriate place for the character to be and a sense that it would, for people who had been paying attention to the backlash, at least evoke some sense that we were in a dialogue with our audience. It definitely wasn’t a “Fuck you, haters!” That’s not really how I tend to roll my game. But at the same time, it was a pretty clear statement that we are comfortable, that there isn’t a political agenda against having black characters in the show.

Why make him a Republican?
We liked the idea of a Republican entering their universe. And Hannah doesn’t really have a clear sense of why you shouldn’t date a Republican; it’s kind of just like the same reason why you shouldn’t date a Nazi: You just shouldn’t.

In fairness, to Dunham she does go on to say that she just doesn’t think she would be attracted to a Republican and that you should date whomever you wish, OK fine. But my problem is that Dunham in my opinion thinks she HAS to say that Republicans are Nazis. She thinks, again my opinion, that she HAS to have certain Leftist political views to be cool, relevant and hip. I get that impression from a lot of folks in the entertainment world. Sometimes I wonder if their political views are theirs, or if they are just trying to fit in by saying what they think they are supposed to.

What a sorry son-of-a-bitch!

This guy is a bottom feeding louse, his Baby Mommas whores are no better, YES, I called them whores, what else do you call women stupid enough to screw a loser like this ass hat? And The Oprah Winfrey Network should be ashamed of themselves for making this show.

You know who gets really hurt by this orgy of stupidity and irresponsibility? Those kids do! This piece of filth says he “take care of his kids” BULLSHIT! Taking care of your kids is not all about money, it is about setting an example of what they should aspire to be. And he also says “it just happened!” REALLY? Is he that stupid? Or just that morally retarded?

Audio- Klavan: don’t blame video games

Love Andrew Klavan, he is one of my favorite thinkers. if you blame TV, or video games, consider that millions play video games, and very, very few ever go out and go on killing sprees. If these games “caused” violent outbursts, there would be many many more of these acts. The fact is so many WANT to blame something, anything other than the killer.

Noted publicity whore with bad hair makes “BIG” Obama announcement

Look at me! someone look at me!

Good grief, will Donald Trump just go away until he has something worth hearing to say anyway! He is offering 5 million dollars if Obama releases his college records? Really Donald? Really, THAT is what you think will help beat Obama? Actually, of course, all you really care about is that YOU get your face on TV. If you want to help get Obama out of office then shut up, and stop your publicity whore act. And one more thing you bottom-feeding sack of feces, will you kill that thing, whatever it is, on top of your head!

Do crazy people go on the ED Show? Or Does Going on the Ed Show make people crazy?

A tasking question to ponder as you watch Johnathan Alter prove that he is absolutely out of his ever loving mind!

Thanks to Stacy McCain, who comments on the low standards of the Left for the link

….just when you think they can’t go any lower, liberals always manage to surprise you, as when Jonathan Alter went on MSNBC and declared that Republicans want people to die:

Yup!

The crazy cool song I cannot get out of my head

I first heard this tune as part of a Heineken spot on TV, so, I looked it up on YouTube, and found this video, from a 1965 film. The words are transcribed on the video. The girl dancing is adorable, her name is Laxmi Chhaya, there is not much info on her, she passed away in 2004 and the man you hear singing the song, Mohammed Rafi died in 1980. By the way, he is not the guy pretending to sing in the video. Anyway,  I cannot get enough of this tune right now. Great song, love the music.

Just another reminder what kind of president we have

Obama bypassed Congress to send aid to these Jihadist swine!

The Palestinians know with Obama in office they will get their money no matter what they do.

Via PMW:

Palestinian Authority TV recently broadcast a music video glorifying and calling for armed attacks against Israel. The official PA TV broadcast, which resembles videos that were common on PA TV during the 5-year PA terror campaign (the Intifada, 2000–2005), shows masked fighters shooting automatic weapons, launching rockets and RPGs, and blowing up an Israeli tank. While showing numerous armed attacks, the song’s refrain is: “The revolution calls to its men.”

The Alashekeen band, which wrote and performed the song, has performed other songs on PA TV promoting violence against Israel. Palestinian Media Watch documented a song by the band that presents Israeli cities like Lod and Ramle as Palestinian cities to be liberated through “Jihad.” The song also includes the verses “we replaced bracelets with weapons” and “pull the trigger.”

Despite the violent content of their songs, the Alashekeen band was honored by PA Chairman Abbas in 2010 and declared a Palestinian national band.

I must not view debates like others do

I am all about substance, and not style where politics and campaigns are concerned. Not that I necessarily mind style, it has its place, but that place matters far less to me than do ideology and substance.

In the GOP debates this year, the “consensus” has been that Romney has looked, presidential, and well-informed. To me he has looked robotic, and rehearsed, and less than sincere many times.

Herman Cain, to me, has done well enough, but, frankly, if I hear him say “bold plan” or “9-9-9” once more I will throw something at my TV, frankly, that makes him sound like  used car salesman, not the sincere Conservative he is.

Now, consider Rick Perry, who has had some less than perfect moments in the debates. Yes, but, I have to say, on things that matter, I mean really matter, and sorry, but a brain fart, which all of us have had, likely more than once, does not amount to anything of any import. Frankly, if you are saying Perry is not qualified to be president because of that gaffe, or that his campaign is now doomed, then I would say that you are the one having the mental meltdown, not Perry. And by the way, I would say the very same about any of the candidates who had  a brain fart.

Consider something else about “gaffes” if anyone has gaffed their way out of the race, it is Herman Cain. Don’t think so? How about the Medicare question in his debate with Newt? His going back and forth about abortion? How about the right of return debacle? His contradicting himself on whether States could restrict gun rights? His seeming not to be aware that China has nukes? And of course, the question of whether or not he would negotiate with terrorists? Good grief! Yet, for the most part, Cain seems to be made of Teflon on these. Perry? He gets the big time scrutiny. This makes no sense to me.

So, here it is folks. If you do not support Perry, fine, but at least do it because of differences on issues. Not how he performs in a debate format that is designed, in my view to, select not the best candidate but the best “debater”.

Go listen to some of Perry’s speeches, look at his ideals, his record, his tax and energy plans, and his position on core Conservative values, and then decide. But for goodness sake, do not judge him, or ANY of our candidates on debates, or style points, this election is way to important for that!
